Whenever i went to the pub with my dad (Who tragically died nearly 6 years ago) i used to put this song on the jukebox a lot. It still sounds as good as it ever did.
That's funny because one of the lead singers lives in Laguna Beach now, or has a shop there at least, or did, the article I just read was a few years old.
This band reminds me of my childhood. Late 80s, early 90s. When the world seemed a better place. Love this song even though it's 30 or so years old. Brilliant memories
i was 9 years old when this song came out i remember it like it was yesterday, this song has been and tell this day , hold a special place in my life, since i dealt with depression since i was a kid , this song was the main reason why i am alive tell this day it kept me from being suicidal . i miss this band but i am truly forever grateful that i grew up listening to amazing songs like monsters and angels.
Just heard this on the radio on the way home from work and was trying to remember who it was. Wilson Phillips was as close as I could get but knew it wasn't right. I could have sat there all week and not come up with Voice of the Beehive. Great blast from the past though and better than almost anything from the class of 2022.
I had to take in a gulp of air, such was the impact of the sudden awesomness of this song, which I haven't heard in what must be almost 30 years. So original. I love it.
The year is 2021, life is crap for everyone in the world, but salvation is at hand. If you are reading this, force people to listen to Voice Of The Beehive, maybe you can help to heal the mind and soul. Either that or just enjoy some fab music from days gone by. 🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒
I had the honey bag limited edition cd. Allegedly it was motor oil (with do not eat warning) No matter what it was, it was a fun, brilliant idea! A classy song by a classy band.
This song popped into my head today. I'm so glad I can listen to it here. My mom got me into this group, and really a lot of the music that has carried me through life. Thanks, mom...
I remember listening to this on the way from college in Baltimore in 1991. Cerphe Colwell would play this on his evening 'Progressive Show' on WJFK. Despite it being on AM (at least up in B'more) it was worth a listen!
How have I missed this song??? I graduated high school when this came out and only now I'm hearing it?! This song is excellent. Loved it on my first hearing.
Mint. This song reminds me of camping in Inverness when I was 14yrs old. The big first trip away from home! Thanks for posting. Memories....!!!!! Infact, its 'totally' mint. Nice one musikvideoman.
one of the dozen or so albums in my life that IMHO was 100% great songs. ranks up there with Graceland and Purple Rain. Can't pay it a higher compliment.
I couldn't agree more...take me back to 89X in Detroit back in '92, the only station that played VOTB...the song simple but great..it still holds its own.
I heard this song one time on the radio, back in the late 80's I guess it was. I remember saying that it was going to be a hit. Then I never heard it again, LOL. I remembered the DJ saying the name of the band. I thought he said "Force of the Beehive", hehe. Needless to say, I could never find any group with that name. But I finally found it again. Thanks for posting video.
it was nov of 1991 and i had just moved and started what would be the best time of my life, and this song was the first song i heard on the new radio station. This will always be special to me-love it.
OMG, the 1st time I heard this song was in 1991 I was visiting San Francisco for the 2nd time, I think the station was KFOG in San Fran, fell in love with this song and the city. Unfortunately I couldnt move to SF from Cincy, too xpensive. But I love California and miss it tremendously.
