Absolutely! She was like “C’mon girl, I know you can sing high!” Brandy is a vocal genius but she doesn’t like to stray toward to the “soprano”side of her voice too often. But she is still a solid mezzo and works magic in her comfortable range.
But I still heard LOVE in her critique and no one called the other one A HATER😂😂😂😂 BW have so disappointed me in the way we treat each other (competition)
But i think thats the thing she knew brandy could do it and reach her level but i cant lie singing with her would be a feat 🤣🤣🤣🤣 loved their relationship 😊
Identity politics weren't being forced on the country at that time. Now race, gender and sexual orientation must be forced into every thing and people are sick of it.
Sure Cinderella was black in this version but we grew up in a time where racism and victim mentality weren't a normal thing. Not sure what went wrong with gen z although I bet it has something to do with the liberal school teachers.
Thats why she played the fairy god mother. She has an entirely Ethereal and magical voice. Brandy hold on she gonna waive her wand for you at the end . That unison whitney made it blend 😢.
A great vocalist enhances the other person. Whitney Houston wanted the other singer to shine, she was that confident in her gift. She was excellent ❤❤❤❤
Me too , even when I hear her songs that aren't mainstream, hear a gospel song she sang on a radio station in Australia and songs I've never heard soon as she starts singing can tell it's Whitney , incredible tones and amazing talent ❤ she was and is something else.. a woman who gave it all to what she ever did musically.. the live version of " when you believe " with Mariah fucks me up everytime I hear it.. along with all her other songs..
Seeing this just makes me real sad to know that we don’t have Whitney or her God-given pure talent, beauty & character alive with us today - such a loss of a truly great & vibrant life 😞🙏🏿🕊️❤️
@@whatsgoinontoday2371 if you wanna talk make sure you speak truth(an actual whitney Quote)… It wasnt the new generation the killed her it was the fading away washed up old ones 👀
Brandy makes it no secret that she lovvveeeddd Whitney, and it’s clearly reciprocated!! This might be one of my favorites… but I say that about them all!! 😂😂😂❤❤
There is nothing like Whitney's voice settling into her PERFECT vibrato at the perfect moment in the midst of a belt! Like I really feel she had THE perfect vibrato.
I grew up with this version. Legendary moment that Whitney fought for. Thank you Miss Whitney Houston for enlightening my childhood with this brilliant work!
@@kele7535what does she have to do with Whitney? Also, you know that Ariana was a broadway singer and can articulate as well as Whitney if she chose too, right? You can look up her old videos
The best version of Cinderella ever! I remember watching it with my mom when it first aired. I was 21 then. At that time, Whitney’s voice was under extreme scrutiny and even though her voice wasn’t the same (I’m being honest), my mom said it was the best renditions she had ever heard. Whitney was a genius for doing this!!! She also did a great thing by choosing Brandy!
@@rachealreed4589People are listening to Whitney's voice and the image the media created of her, that showed her in a bad light, before she was murdered. It's common sense that her talent was overshadowed by drug abuse several years before her demise. That wasn't by mistake! We saw those negative images so much that we started believing that that's who she had become. That's a common tactic in hollyweird. Whitney's sister-in-law stated that she wasn't doing drugs at the time of her demise, but people would rather run with a media created narrative than look for the facts. Leola Brown also stated that Whitney's body showed signs of trauma from being beaten and having fought for her life (revealed by the autopsy). Something that the media conveniently left out. She also stated that the scene had been tampered with and that the night before Whitney's death, something eerily similar had happened to Bobby Christina. According to some sources, Brandy and Ray J were at the hotel the night Whitney was murdered. They became a part of the Love & Hip Hop cast not longer after Whitney's death. Some speculate that they know more or had more involvement than they've shared. I'm talking about short Brandy who's married to Max from L&HH.
I think you have your dates confused. This was during the time when she wanted to act. This was 5 yrs after the movie The Bodyguard. No one was complaining about Whitneys voice at this time at all. As you could see here her voice is immaculate. It wasn’t until her voice started to sound bad that people started talking about her voice sounding bad. Yeah you definitely have you dates mixed up. Just for reference you’re only 3 yrs older than me i definitely remember. It wasn’t until the 2000’s did Whitney’s voice start to deteriorate. You can pull up any performance from the 90’s and Whitney’s voice wasn’t to be played with. This was a yr after the Preachers Wife wasn’t nobody complaining about or could ever predict what would even happen to Whitney’s voice.
@@rachealreed4589 girl do hear her voice in this? This is Whitney, not a strain or struggle. Her voice didn’t change or start to deteriorate until the 2000’s.
Brandy was in so much awe of Ms Houston, while clearly shy, and even a bit insecure in the presence of Whitney's magnitude of talent. Whitney seemed very supportive of Brandy.
Whitney Houston the Voice..her voice could literally sing anything with brilliance and joy. I love this medium and RU-vid where these glorious moments will never be forgotten to enjoy for generations to come!
Whitney was so giving to the young ones coming behind her because she was confident in her own ability and she genuinely loved them and wanted them to do well.
One of my all time favorites! The first black Disney Princess in live action, in again one of my all time favorite Disney movies! They were perfection. I can't see any other emsemble of actors and singers that could have compared in their quality of work. ✨️✨️
Whitney was so real and loved her some Brandy. Talked to her like she was her niece PLEASE DO THAT😂😂 WHY ARE YOU DOWN THERE😂😂😂❤❤❤ WE LOVE AND MISS YOU WHITNEY❤❤❤
I've loved this scene too, since the first time I saw it! Tysm for teaching us the names of the vocal skills that msde Whitney so exceptional and the greatest voice of our generation.
I’ve always loved when Whitney says “why are you down there?” This behind the scenes always makes my smile and warms my Heart! We love you Whitney! 💜🙏🏽🥰
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Whitney, her voice has been giving me chills since I was a child. I miss her so much, I love you suga. Don't get it twisted , Brandy be doing her thing to , her voice is beautiful. I think it's about time for another album Brandy!! I know Brandy really misses her , she was like a little sister to Whitney.
I love how generous and nurturing she was with Brandy. She always hypes up other singers and I loved that about her😢RIP 👸🏽Whitney. With so many of our treasures no longer here that heavenly choir must be WHEW 😢NO WORDS😭😭
"Why are you down there?" I Love It! I still watch "Cinderella" til this day, and put the TV loud and sing with them. My kids be like, "Mom, Really, That Loud"😂 I tell them, while singing,,"It's Possible"😎🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mama Whitney 🙏🏻🥹 wow what an experience that must have been for Brandy to have that legend giving her pointers and harmonizing with her! This was my favorite movie when it came out I watched it over and over again!
I know she would have loved to share that type of connection with Bobby Kristina. She always had her daughter on stage with her & tried to include her in so much of her professional privilege. She adored her daughter. She seemed to really love this moment with Brandy too.
Thank you I woke up this morning and I seen this beautiful video of yours and emotionally made me break out in tears Full on crying that’s why we got these videos for to look back when things are not going good in our livesI looked back in our past present and future I love you for this one💯😊
