The rightful choice to play Patti right here. You MUST have the vocal stamina and range because Patti's songs are like marathons hunny. Ledisi has it and she's also one of my absolute favorite vocalists of this era. Love her!

Ledisi deserves much more credit than she receive. She is truly an unsung artist!

I see some comments here people debating whether Ledisi is a legend or not, so many people have become comfortable with calling Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, India Arie etc. Legends and forget that Ledisi was in the game Earlier than any of them. In my humble opinion Ledisi having recorded over 10 albums and has received 14 Grammy nominations, in my books she’s a certified legend.

Ledisi is amazing! I discovered her years ago when she opened for Chaka Khan, (who was so wasted that Ledisi had to sing some of her songs for her). It was sad, but Ledisi was amazing. Here she is trying to use some of "Patti-isms" in her vocals, which I love, and then does a lot of it with her own twist.

I feel like no one is talking about how much she sounded like Patti here 😭😭 its insane! They know who to call for the Patti Labelle biopic.
