Love em both! SoHyang is a master vocalist and has been singing for almost as long as Ariana has been alive so I would expect her to be more polished and controlled in her technique. So Hyang is definitely the technically superior vocalist. Better support and resonance among many other skills, but she’s also much older and has taken many years to perfect her voice. Thus, I would say most of her covers were better, as well as more artistically original and unique. Sohyang makes every song her own while Ariana tends to stick to the original arrangement. Ariana is still very talented though and probably had a better Emotions cover due to her more reliable access to the whistle register.

SoHyang is not human She is not an ordinary singer. She expresses the song lyrics in her voice and impresses the listener. I think she is one of the best singers in the world.

Dr. Marc Reynolds even though you refused to say who is the favorite, your body language (in round 3) tells me that you couldn't bear to listen to Ariana straining those high notes anymore and you had that big smile on your face when Sohyang sung.

I don't know why I feel like majority of Ariana's voice is located in her head/nose. Like way up compared to Sohyang.
