Oh !!! Sohyang ! I work as a doctor and have been in music for a long time. Since I was very young, I have been to several concerts by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. I have known about Sohyang in less than 8 months. At first I was very shocked and surprised that there was a really amazing and fantastic singer in the world. I thought there would be no singers in the world who would compare or surpass Maria Carey and Whitney Houston. But after I saw her, I found out that I was not well. I must say Sohyang is the only singer in the world that combines Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. Thanks for your nice reaction. From N.Y.

Now for 2 of my all time favorite living female vocalists . Both from Korea. Certainly Sohyang one of my all time favorite female Korean vocalists but for the life of me I can’t figure out why you ( or other coaches) haven’t as yet reacted to another world class female Korean vocalist who many consider as good as Sohyang ( they are close best friends and each admire the others talent). They both have the same vocal range and hit those celestial high notes with emotional impact. And they both look beautiful. Her name is Park Ki Young and here are 4 youtube live performances that will blow your mind and open your heart. Its too bad that most of the people only know Sohyang from compilation videos which display nothing except high notes. And her technique is only a tool that gives her the opportunity to make all the stylistyc choices she is doing. She is all about emotions and interpretation. I really recommend everyone to listen to the whole performances, because its an experience.

I love her, I watched her a couple of weeks ago teaching a little girl how to sing You raised me up, the high notes and I am watching it to see if I can learn, my Korean is a bit on the medium level but I get what she says so I follow it. Imagine to have So Hyang as a vocal teacher.

Ah, I see. I recommended Sohyang a couple of times to you, but you've already known her apparently. 😊 I wish you recorded those initial reaction to her performances, but sometimes it happens. Sohyang is less of a hidden gem nowadays, as more and more people spread praises about her. Maybe you could react to her full performances that you have not seen yet, especially her _"King of Mask Singer"_ series. Out of Sohyang's hundreds and hundreds of videos, some of her best performances are in KOMS. She wears a mask, per premise of the show, and all songs are in korean. It's perfect to dissect the vocals and *ONLY* vocals. Song So Hee is considered a living national treasure in korea for her Mastery of singing Korean Opera, which, let's just say it has a pretty different style to the more western singing you see on display here. I think you would be really interested in it, and it's an incredibly emotional performance as well as being extremely technically talented.
