Dimash is the greatest singer of all time with the most magnificent unique & incomparable voice. He is an incredible performer & storyteller through song & all his technical abilities & wide range. Thanks for your review of him. I am his Dear from Canada & not a day goes by without me listening to his beautiful songs. ❤️🥰🇨🇦
Hello, I’m from Brazil! The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique (traditional cazaq singing). Is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist? Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.
That 25 second belt up to Bb5 in mix with a crazy descending run is truly one of the best things I've ever heard. Thank you for explaining it in detail 😊♥️. Love your videos btw
Everything you tell is educating, but I like to watch the rare moments you are a bit confused, taken out of your role of voice teacher and are just blown away by him 😁 Lucky for me Dimash will do that every time, until you cannot deny him anymore and become a Dear 😉
It was a great work from you. Helps me to understand his fantastic performance. If you pause, you pause (don't worry!). In your reaction you're the boss. If it helps me, I like it. Thank you!
Thanks for a great reaction! I much prefer the less frequent stopping. You are obviously very knowledgeable about the art of singing and its good to learn from you. I particularly enjoyed watching your face when "things got crazy"! Apparently that was around 25 seconds on one breath! . It is a good idea to let the video run on sometimes to see and hear Dimash talking, getting flowers, and being Dimash, and hearing the comments of the MCs.. Us Dears don't like to miss him doing everything!
Next recommended song by Dimash: Know. There are multiple versions. The premiere at New Wave 2019 with lyrics and awesome scat-like improvisations, mesmerizing. Then the version from the Arnau Tour on March 11 this year, where he skips the lyrics altogether and improvises alomst 6 min of pure vocalise. I would suggest a double feature so we can see how Dimash develops a song. Or, if you want to take the time to make a very long video, you may also add the version of the concert in New York, very different again.
Hi, Dimash's tecnique is insane and even his breath control, at the end he made that belt to hig note and an insane run , we can hear every single note of it, with only one breath 22,84 secs long I never heard anything like that in my life especially live. Stay safe
You are really good to react and describe his voice! But why not mention a little moore!!? Other importent things beeing a singer!Like his stage presence, body language, use of his eyes, the way he just disapear into the song, the way he express emothions, actress.. and the stage, chlothes, use of light etc etc.. you would have moore followers by reacting the whole session. Ppl want to hear things like that.. And, yes there is a really important detail on the end! He say thanks to the musicians, the composer, orcestra! Have you sees any other well known singer doing that?? Like you mention Shakira. Can you imagine her doing that? Greetings from Norway
You just haven't seen anything yet: =) but I think you're ready for the classic opera Dimash. Your choice of Dimash solo is Ogni Pietra (Italian), written specifically for Dimash and his vocal abilities, or the trio of Dimash, Lara Fabian and the classic soprano Aida Garifullina - Ti amo cosi.
Thats much better!!! all issues now fixed so now we can all sit back and just enjoy your reaction haha. This is one of my favorites from Dimash, he shows off a lot of different techniques and ranges here.
Dear Rachel, that bald man in the white shirt is Maestro Igor Krutoy, a famous semi retired Russian composer. When he heard this he knew he had found the artist he had been waiting for. He decided he wanted to team up with Dimash to compose several new songs JUST for him. Since joining Dimash he has already composed 4 new songs and reworked some other songs for him. They are a very strong pair and will probably be together for a long time. In newer songs you will see Igor on stage playing piano.
👍👍👍thank you for so many comments from a prof. perspectives. Dimash uses to take time to let the emotions grow. typic al song to show his ability to give a cover song a new soul is "love is like dream", which won an award for best cover song this year. ❤️
@@rachelsandlermusic you can pause it as many times as you want. that is not the issue. the peoblem is the timing if the stops. really disrupts the phrasing and the viewer can't get a complete picture.
Your reactions are great. I love your technical descriptions of what is going on, because your personality and love of music come out right along side them. I don't feel I am listening to a lecture. I feel I am listening to something wonderful with a knowledgeable friend. Thanks for all your efforts in these reactions.
Your pausing doesn’t bother me in the least! If you were just commenting on his tie, or his hairstyle I’d be annoyed because those could wait until the end. But you’re commenting on his vocals, which requires you to pause. Great reaction, Rachel! Loved your face when he went into that crazy, long riff towards the end! I think that was 24 or 25 seconds on ONE breath! More Dimash, please🙏🏻
Great reaction to Dimash singing Sinful Passion. It is his second most populair song after SOS and before Opera 2. Great performance by Dimash. Greetings from Amsterdam.
Hi. Thank you for the reaction/analysis. Please react to Know and Ogni Pietra from the Arnau concert. Here are the links: know ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rUSvj8UvFLo.html ogni pietra ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dkPS6t84qg4.html
Hi Rachel! You do you! I liked your reaction and analysis of this song, especially the crazy 25 second run towards the end. Dimash likes to swim and I think it gives him a venue to work on his breath control. We've seen him swim from one end of the pool to the other underwater (there's a vid on YT of it). I know some mentioned a fancam of this song, where you can see him closer - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uxLhwfFFUQs.html. Thought I'd give this to you for you to watch at some point. At 3:40 he'll start the ethnic lament and there's no strain or anything in his throat or on his face.
Please react to Diana Ankudinova "Wicked game" or "Human". She is like Dimash, but from the other side of vocal range 😅 Together they can cover the whole piano range of keys, from far beyond the lowest to far beyond the hiest. She is only 16 now but has a great unique powerful voice with great technic and control. She and Dimash are like Day and Night, Sun and Moon, the heart of a Star and the heart of the Earth. If there is a master who can write a song for them, THAT duet will be the mind-blowing hit on the world 🤯 I'm passionate to hear that and I'm afraid to hear that... They both work with Igor Krutoy, so may be we'll see it someday. And please react to Dimash "the Diva Dance" and "Drunken concubine" in one video. They are quite short but the second one is a VERY UNIQUE interpretation of the first one. Thank you!)
I love Drunken Concubine (Drunken Beauty) video with Li Yugang because Li Yugang is also an amazing singer and should be heard by many more people too. I am a big fan of both of them. 💕 Edit: I also think Diana is a truly amazing young performer. 😊
You can pause, if you're explaining. If we need to watch the song, we'll look elsewhere. But I do like to hear Dimash thank everyone at the end. He has a beautiful talking voice too. The camera work on this performance has been rated as poor. I think they tried, but missed some views. There is another reactor who goes in for camera work on performances. Thanks for joining the onslaught of Dimash. Love getting blown away. Such a great teaching tool!!
Thanks. Seriously. I've listened to a LOT voice teachers. You're analysis is as solid as any of theirs, though you're a little more emotionally stable/flat than some of my favorites. That said, this is my favorite reaction video to Dimash EVER. Shockingly, you decided to let Dimash's voice dominate over your own... perfect! The usual fear of a coach talking over Dimash so you can barely hear the music to which is being 'judged/dissected' completely evaporated. Then, since I've heard Sinful Passion a bunch, I found myself riveted on your every word, because I had to concentrate/"work" to hear your analyses. Think on it. How can you possibly be annoyed at a reactor for talking over a reaction if you're actively participating in not listening properly!!! So, great formula. Hope you adopt it permanently. You are now the second person I've ever both liked and subscribed after a single listen.
Dimash is AMAZING!!! Here is my humble cover of “Over Here” inspired by the incomparable Dimash’s D-Dynasty Tour ’18 recording: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y6dzMVXSg4g.html
Could you work on the volume of your voice? I can barely hear you if Dimash's volume is good & if I turn it up to hear you then Dimash is WAY too loud. Thank you. I love your analysis and comments.
If you hadn’t paused after his ‘classical’ section you’d have got why he closed that note. Unless he did it the next Kazakh section would have been weird. You don’t really need to explain it we have watched every single person in the universe react to it. Anyhoo welcome to the party.

What I like most of Dimash is that he is out of the mold , always versatile, genuine ... he has his own unique style! Never boring. By the way the audio improved 👍 Thank you
I give up! The worst react I've ever seen! The considerations are great but the pauses during the song removes all the emotion of the song! Tip: wait for the singer to finish the passage and comment later.
Hi, Rachel. I like your reaction to this song. Dimash, you probably noticed, is versatile in its true sense - able to do anything that is humanly possible with his voice whenever he prefers. He leaves the rest of us both mesmerized and in awe. Also, how can anyone be mad at you? The song has so much to offer that it requires as many pauses for you to reflect a bit on each aspect as the song progresses. You're doing great with that. Keep going. ❤
You have to check out the best vocalist from down under John Farnham singing the Beatles song "Help" live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. His vocals are crazy and he's an entertainer, the way he interacts with the crowd is awesome. John Farnham is an Aussie icon.
Rachel react please to Diana Ankudinova. She is unique and one of greatest female singer for all over the world. Maybe she is the best female singer right now. She is only 17 years old. Wicked Game for the first time.
The look on your face during the run at the end is the same face we all made the first time we watched this performance; such unbelievable breath control
Thank you for sorting out the audio! Really enjoyed your analysis - and please carry on stopping to explain (surely the people who don’t like it can always use the link you’ve given to watch the original before or after, if they prefer to hear the whole thing?)!
I like how you make detailed observations on artifacts of the vocals, but remain clear about these being intentional. Some of the more academically analytical reaction videos ascribe them to indications of breath failing or being at the end of his vocal range within that particular register. Invariably, they take it back later in the same song. Congratulations on staying (somewhat) technically detached up until the climactic long phrase. I am looking forward to seeing more of Dimash on your channel.
