Andy, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Shakira, Jennifer Hudson, Sohyang, Ailee, Madonna, Linda Ronstadt, Karen Carpenter, Yeonji, Tina Turner, Marilyn McCoo, etc etc etc. And this girl who claimed to be Satan on FB is the one the Grammy Clowns picked for 5 awards. I realize in this day of decadence and autotune probably did not give much in competition, but that she is the best the Clowns had heard. SMH. They've made a mockery of a prestigious award. Just like when President Obama got a Noble Peace Prize when he hadn't done anything yet. LMAO
@@pamrenee6906 Please do not disrespect Billie like that. If you have listened to any of her songs you would see why she won. It's not like she was begging to win either she is just being her and that was enough. So please even if you don't support her you don't need to be rude to her or make negative comments about her. Also this was a good video💚🖤
@@leahjoy6422 popularity does not equal talent, Leah. In mine and many others opinion, she's a horrible singer, her songs are nonsense and she's a horrible role model. She's the hottest Clown going right now, and it's hard to imagine that someone even worse will come along. If she was 'talent' when the Superstars I mentioned were signed, I'm Satan Eilish would not be touring, putting out songs, nothing. But she's not alone. Cardi B, nasty mouth, Nikki Minaj, nasty mouth, Camilla sings off key and sounds like a child. Beyonce, too big and too old to shake her A. The contemporary music business sucks. 🤡🤷🏾♀️
It's so nice seeing professionals talk about and appreciate her voice. So many people claim that her voice isn't good and that she can't sing, but you vocal teachers are out here shutting them down.
I like Bjork and Nina. My comment is based on mass appeal. I think the public is more accepting of Billie and her music and she will thus become more widely known. I admit, public opinion can be a low measuring stick
I love that you stopped to talk about Finneas for a minute🥺 he’s been getting more recognition lately and he deserves it! You’re right they are totally a duo, we wouldn’t have one of them without the other :) I loved the video, you speak very clearly as well!!
@@Vizible21 she's a vocalist ❤️ it's not me who said that all the voice teachers I've seen including mine said she is a vocalist ❤️ so yeah it's a fact she's a vocalist it suits her ❤️
Great reaction as always. Especially astute to pick up that Billie's vulnerability is one of the most attractive features of her performances. On song after song she walks on a razor's edge, and this really comes out in her live performances.
I love hearing your commentary on her performance but even more so I love watching you feel the music as you listen. We can tell you’re not only passionate about music, but that you’re truly dialed in and absorbing what it is you’re listening to.
I’m not any type of person that’s knowledgeable in any kind of music theory but I know these 2 are incredible young artists. She sounds so good live because everything they produce is 100% authentically her voice. They did an interview where they explained how she sang lines, words, verses over and over until they got it perfect. They don’t use anything to manipulate her voice or tone whatsoever. I’m really loving these 2 and can’t wait to.see what else they do with their talents.
They did a live streamed acoustic concert from Apple headquarters before Christmas. It was so good - they are like a modern day Carpenters or Simon & Garfunkel, in addition to their completely different electronic music. It’s probably still on ITunes or RU-vid. I think her gift is to emotionally get into your head.
Hi Andy! This is my first time ever watching one of your videos. I really enjoyed it. You’re so sweet and everything about this video is great, your commentary is very well said. You should check out her song “everything I wanted” and please make a video about her vocals/just the song in general. Thanks x
She knew right before this that this was gonna be the first time that literally 10s of millions of eyes would all be on her at once for a live performance... Then she puts down THIS vocal. She was a legend before she could drive.
I'm really liking your videos, Andy! Your critiquing is balanced and informative. The fact that the reactions aren't over-the-top and dramatic makes it even better. Keep up the good work!
I love that u make videos like this that are so positive!! Speaking highly of others says more about YOU!!!! You must be a kind person through and through!
I saw part of the music video for bad guys and part of all good girls go to hell and wasnt impressed...BUT when I saw this Grammy performance I was like OMG this young lady has a beautiful voice and control! So I checked out that song and a few others and fell in LOVE with her music! Her brother is oh so talented as well! Nice explanation on her vocals you do a great job keep it up!
Hey. You might be interested in Aurora. Billie Eilish credits her song Runaway as being what inspired her to pursue a career in music. Here’s a bunch of my favourites from her split into Music Videos/Live Performances/Covers. Happy to provide links if helpful. Favourite Music Videos: Runaway The seed Queendom Running with the wolves Animal Askjell featuring Aurora - To be loved The river Favourite live performances: Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1) (Nobel Peace Prize Concert) Through the Eyes of a Child (Vevo UK Lift) It happened Quiet (live at Nidarosdomen) Under the water (Vevo halloween) Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (first vid that comes up) Haik Concert (The full Haik documentary is also worth watching, gives a lot of insight into Aurora as a human) Favourite covers: God is a woman (Ariana Grande cover) Teardrop (Massive Attack cover) Across the universe (Beatles Cover) Believer (Imagine Dragons Cover) Life on Mars (David Bowie Cover)
I’m impressed she can still sing this song this softly. She was much younger when she wrote this and of course as she’s getting older, her voice is changing.
I enjoy your reactions a lot, you are really into what you are doing and teaching valuable things at the same time. Billie Eilish is amazing, many people don't know how hard is to sing in such an expressive and dynamic way, specially live, and still you can understand every single world.
Great video, just wanted to give you a little more background info on her. When she was 13 her and Finneas made Ocean Eyes for her dance class because her instructor wanted a song to choreograph to. She submitted Ocean Eyes to her dance instructor and the instructor loved it so much they put it up on sound cloud and the song blew up. That's how she got her start in music. Crazy that, that could be all it takes for some amazing artists.
Hey I love that u really appreciate her and only gave her such a nice and positive compliments 🙈 Please react to more on her songs like oceans eyes or something 🤷🏼♀️❤️ U r literally the best 😇
This is totally a genre all by itself. People react to the spirit of the music. The vessel for the spirit is a pure channel. Also helps that she is beautifully transparent . She hides nothing and gives all. She is a born artist. Finneas, such a generous spirit. So multi talented. May they succeed well.
First time watching one of your videos. Love the way you break it down! Makes sense to even people like me that can’t sing a lick. Subscribe ✅ and this performance was so beautiful!
I love Billie Eilish. Her voice is unique and recognizable. For vocalists under the age of 20, very few female vocalists have unique recognizable voices. Diana Akuninova is another. Now I’m going to treat all you Billie Eilish fans around the world to a vocalist who passed away recently but in my generation ( 1960s ... I’m 74 years old) had a small but worldwide cult following and I consider her the “ Billie Eilish of the 1960s.” Her name Morgana King with a celestial heavenly ethereal voice, unique and mesmerizing. Just like Billie. When a song by her came over the radio, ( today Spotify , RU-vid , etc) within the first 30 seconds ( Like Billie Eilish today) you KNEW it was Morgana King and you stopped whatever you were doing to listen. Frank Sinatra called her the best female vocalist he ever heard. If I may so bold as to suggest you listen ( when you have a few moments) to the following 4 songs that will silence your mind and open the floodgate of your heart. 2 were created and posted by a “ Morgana fan” with remarkable imagery which enhanced the emotional impact!! And hope you add them to your playlist so that others may enjoy. Please RU-vid “ Morgana King Happy Birthday 2017” ( 4:26 in duration). The song is called “ desert hush/I am a leaf” please be sure to click the 4:26 one ( the one with a photo of her with lyrics) and NOT the 4:25 or any of the others. “ Morgana King Prelude to a kiss” ( 3:49 duration) “Morgana King Lazy Afternoon” ) 3:48 duration with hauntingly beautiful imagery that enhances the already emotionally impactful Morgana rendition. And finally one more that is to this day her signature song about a lover that promised to return but never did. “ Morgana King sings a taste of honey” ( 5:17 duration). So pleased that the younger generation who I send these songs to are amazed and profusely thank me for turning them on to the “ Billie Eilish of the 1960s” Again, if you love Billie , please take a few moments out of your day to listen to Morgana. Her emotionally impactful voice will transport you to another world. I promise. R.I.P. Morgana King
I love Billie so much. Her songs are so inspiring and even tho they’re sad they make me happy because I love them. Does anybody notice when she says, “and I’m on my own” it sounds really good? You know what I mean right? No. Ok..
Es de las mejores artistas que he escuchado y no entiendo porque dicen que está sobrevalorada si realmente tiene talento y mereció ganar los grammys , su voz es tan bonita que el autotune, playback no le hacen justicia
Billie takes me to outer space like Janice Joplin always has. I FEEL both of them. I've been waiting for another female artist like this for a long time. Giving my age away! 💗🎶 ✌️
Hello Andy! I'm your fan, you're so authentic and funny i can't stop seeing your reactions. I really recommend Doble Corazón from Monica Naranjo, you will enjoy. Greetings from Spain!
Not meaning to take anything away from Billie's talent as a singer, I think she would greatly benefit with a vocal coach. I can cite several instances where she's struggled with the high notes. One example is "Ocean Eyes" Live at the Steve Jobs Theater. A proper vocal coach could warm up (loosen) her vocals before performances and in the long run, increase vocal range and strength.
You react to her performance on SNL “I Love You” or “All Girls Go To Hell” live on Howard Stern. But my favorite is her acoustic cover of Michael Jackson’s Bad it’s unbelievable
Thank you for this reaction. I love Billie and her brother. They're really game changers. Could you react to Pimpinela, they're a brother and sister duo from Argentina? All of their songs are amazing, but Olvidame y Pegate la vuelta (live) is really amazing, even though it's not from their heyday, their voices are still amazing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5_NafWXyad4.html
Sí, a mí me parece que realmente se merece esos premios a pesar que haya haters la escena musical tiene muchos matices. Me alegro por ella y muchos éxitos también. Me encanta su voz y su música.
Please Andy, I beg You. React to SODA STEREO PROFUGOS 2007. You won't regreat. Millons of people from Latin America will love You for this. Regards from Argentina!
