The best quartet in the planet! Most versatile in genre and they sing in multiple languages. They live upto the true definition of a great crossover group. They have been performing for the last 6 years. So you have a lot to choose from. They have many many covers and many originals as well. All of them are perfectly executed. So what you pick next its just a matter of your own music preference. Most of their performances are in front of live audiences. You can find live versions of their original singles as well. I would suggest you start with the Simon and Garfunkle cover “ Scarborough fair”. They were formed as a result of winning the survival show Phantom singer season 2 by JTBC . They have record breaking wins on the KBS Immortal songs TV competitions. Most reactors have issues with copyright blocks. So I suggest you blur/ distort the videos . They are from left to right on your screen, Ko Woorim, classically trained basso profundo, Kang Hyung-ho, a biochemical engineer with his own rock group, no formal training, a countertenor/ soprano range, next their leader, classically trained leggero tenor Cho Mingyu and finally musical theater actor Bae Dohoon( a great baritone/tenor) I can't wait for you to react to many more Forestella performances! Good day. Thank you for your reaction to Forestella. They are superb musicians and I am always in awe of their music. My favourite Forestella song is a song called Champions ( The Seoul Fest version as the best acoustics). The four of them sound almost life a full choir, it is amazing to hear. Sadly it is not one of their most requested songs. It is a lot more classical and very powerful. A tip to help with putting an name to a face, Forestella members normally stand in a specific order ( however this is may differ if the video you watch may be from one of their own concerts when they interact more with the fans.) They are normally from left to right Ko Woorim (bass), Kang Hyang Ho (tenor, countertenor, rock) Cho Mingyu (tenor) and Bae Doohoon (tenor, musical actor.) FORESTELLA was originally founded as a classical CROSSOVER vocal group. In fact, 2 masters of vocal music, 1 musical actor and 1 rock singer/soprano (with an extremely well-developed and, if necessary, angelic head voice). Each one is exceptionally talented in his own right, but together they are simply magic. With their extremely flexible voices, they are brilliant in every genre and deliver only TOP performances. One of their goals as CROSSOVER MUSICIANS is to integrate classical music more into contemporary music. They take iconic contemporary songs and interpret them in a very creative and skilful way, sometimes going down daring new paths. In contrast to others, they go the opposite way. Classical music with pop/rock influences does exist. But in urban music such as pop/rock, classical singing and corresponding vocal techniques combined with elements from other genres are still quite unusual. And the enthusiastic and growing audience agrees that it works! The fan base is growing all the time.

Thank you for your reaction! This is my info text about Forestella I always post under the first-time-ever reaction. When you read it, that means I subscribed. Forestella is a crossover group from Korea. They were grouped through Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea and won it. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Hence Forestella has sung great covers in various TV shows, better filter on the video to avoid copyright block. Forestella dared to cover the songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their majestic original song Utopia is a must check. Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans. Take a listening to Chosen One, an EPIC OST of the Sword of Aramun. Forestella released fantastic original Snow Globe m/v! Kang HyungHo composed it, and all the Forestella members contributed in arranging it. Another original Chagall's Dream brings back the moment of Forestella Festival in my heart, I feel like in my lucid dream seeing Forestella altogether in the future in advance. Forestella covers all genres and yes; they are amazing!

The countertenor didn't really have a formal training before joining Forestella. The leggero tenor of the group, Mingyu is an opera singer and he gave some training to Hyungho and he also learnt on his own as initially he felt like he wasn't good enough for such a band. He was an amateur rock singer before applying to the Phantom Singer survival tv show and ended up as a member of Forestella. He's a chemical engineer :D Mingyu was a finalist in several international opera singing competitions. Woorim, the bass is also a trained opera singer, he is the youngest and he currently serves in the military. Doohoon is the baritenor voice, he is a musical actor. they are practice freaks, that's why they sound so good together.

Forestella first sang their version of Bohemian Rhapsody in the KBS Immortal Songs which is a kind of remake competition music entertainment show. It made them known to the world, and later they put it in their 2nd album titled Mystique. They had concert tour under the title Mystique. This video was filmed at the Mystique encore concert, the last of the tour. I prefer their Immortal Songs video because it shows their acting in the performance better. Here it's too dark to see it well.. I recommend Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel. There are 2 more Queen renditions in addition to the very first performed Bohemian Rhapsody by Forestella.

I checked your playlist to recommend songs for you, I think it's good with songs you have reacted already. Je suis malade, the Sound of Silence, Arirang Alone, Kang HyungHo's solo performance of the Phantom of the Opera which he got inspired from NightWish version, etc. BTW accapella is singing in only voice without musical accompaniment like instruments or midi sound. Forestella used accapella skill in some parts but they sang with musical accompaniment. Initially they are a classical crossover male vocal quartet even though they sound like a mixed choir 😂.

Big Mama is a South Korean female quartet that was an early original K-pop girl group in the early 2000s, each of whom are now music professors, who reformed to sing together again in 2021. Best solo vocalist : Dimash ; best vocal quartet : Forestella. My favorite song from them is "Scarborough fair", but depending on your tastes maybe you will prefer "Legends never die" which you can compare to Hwang Hyeonjo Team's Legends Never Die, also Korean and quite unique. Even if my heart goes primarily to Chinese singers, I confess Koreans, Filipinos and Indonesians have a fairly phenomenal amount of treasures. BTW, Son Seung Yeon (Korean too) made a very special version of Bohemian Rhapsody. I recommend it.
