He is so adorably proud of his country of his family and still extremly respectful to any other culture. It's something so rare and pressioss in our time and so much needed - to be proud but respect what's different.
Yes, you are right. This was such an important moment for him, even though he knew this song might not be the winning song for this episode, he truly loved being able to display his traditional Kazakh outfits, instruments and song that he had worked hard on his arrangement of it. I believe the Kazakh musicians were his friends from his University. This moment was an extremely important dream come true moment for Dimash. Thank you for recognising this and for understanding the background to it from the Gloria Wu channel. Kind regards Rae Ward, Dimash New Zealand Fan Club. 👍👍👍❤❤❤
So true! I even learned this song and Akkuym, which was hard at first to learn the right pronounciation and now I actually am able to sing along with Dimash whenever I listen to this and Akkuym. The language is beautiful. Its definitely one of my favourites.
Always enjoy your reactions. If you react to this song at his bastau concert you will see how emotional he is. This was his first time to perform this song in concert in his own country. Someone said there were over a hundred dombra players. You can see dimash with tears at the end.
you are definitely on point here. He was absolutely proud of his traditional Kazakh outfits, instruments, his classmates who he recruits from Kazakh National University of Arts to play traditional Kazakh instruments and sure the song that he had worked hard on his arrangement of it This is moment was definitely an important dream as his mother stated that it was his childhood dream to perform a traditional Kazakh song in world-class competition. Thank you for recognizing this and understanding the background of it.
You're welcome. The background to this song is so important and I appreciate all the information and feedback I get from you all to understand more! Also, big thanks to Gloria Wu's channel!
Just like "Late Autumn", I am usually an emotional mess when I watch "Daididau". He really has a way to connect to my soul. And it is because HIS BODY...HIS SOUL REALLY... ABSOLUTELY...and COMPLETELY... connects to the heart of each song he sings. Without exception. And that moves me tremendously. There are some newer songs that do this to me constantly too but I will comment on them when you react to them. I don't want to create too much of a hype about those fantastic performances. I'd like for you to experience them yourself and let your reaction be free from pre-conceived ideas. ♥️ Dimash has really changed my perspective on what GOOD singing REALLY is all about. Tara Simon from Tara Simon Studios (who also happens to be the amazing Angelica Hale's Vocal Coach) made the following hilarious "request" to Dimash at the end of my favourite reaction to one of my ultimate favourite performances: "Like, could you like mess up, just like ONCE? That we can all know you are not an alien, from the Land of Perfect vocals?" (rolls her eyes jokingly* 🙄) 😅😅😅 She goes on to say, "I dunno, HE!... ....KILLS me" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yes Tara, he does that to me too!
Merci de votre réaction et de votre sympathie pour les performences de Dimash, Monsieur! Vous avez parfaitement bien compris l'histoire et les traditions d'un peuple méconnu.
You'll see, the more you listen to him the more you understand Dimash not only "cover " the song, he is what the phantom of the opera once said: to take the song fly.
You come across as a sweet guy. As a dear I love that you get him like a dear would want you to get him. You're not just blown away but you pick up on the little things. You get that hes a kind , gentle young man. Thank you
This performance shows how much Dimash loves his country. I know his country is so proud of him also. We love Dimash, Kazakhstan- thank you for sharing.
Daididau is my top 2 song , all your perception of Dimash singing this song are correct. And this was a dream come true to Dimash, to show to the world his country and it's music and poets. For me the most moving performance of this beautiful song was at his Bastau concert because it was the fulfilment of another dream. To hear the world sing a Kazakh song. Check it out at is YT channel and just enjoy it. Lovely and on point reaction 💞💞
Someone else mentioned his performance of this in Bastau. It's one of my very favorite performances of all! The beginning is a real treat, his powerful voice near the end is unbelievable, and his emotions at the end are written all over his face. You will love it!
How is master Andy ?? Beautiful music and interpretation, one of my favorites. Dimash was so happy when he heard he could play this song ... He asked his university friends to help him with his performance on the show. I have never met anyone as patriotic as he is. When I first saw Daididau, I was paralyzed by so much beauty in her clothes, traditional instruments ... I think these traditional customs are beautiful, China also has a rich culture with these instruments ... Did you notice the silence of the audience? “Complete silence ... respect ... this is a show of the highest quality, in my humble opinion. Note that there does not seem to be envy on the faces of the candidates, but they applaud, smile. Greetings BRAZIL »-I'm loving your reactions to Dimash because you managed to capture your essence as a singer and a person ... thanks ..
Thank you for using Gloria's channel. PLEASE be sure to include the back story for the next song Daybreak, but be on the safe side & have a box of tissues ready before you start. I am a woman but some men also cry after seeing the story & the subtitles. Every time I see Daybreak & Autumn Strong after the stories & words I can't stop crying. And if you include the story which also shows Dimash's family & his problem the day of the performance some people that only watched the Bastau version will realize it's a tragic song that they smile at during Bastau not knowing the story
Thanks, Dear Coach!❤ I feel -a little- ashamed to admit it, but before Dimash I had barely even heard of Kazakhstan, let alone its heartbreaking history and pride in Independence - I couldn't have even pointed to it on a map! Since then, both my cultural and musical horizons have been expanded greatly - Daididau in particular, inspired me to take a (virtual) journey into the traditional music, instruments and folk histories of the region - which is just one more thing my sweet Prince has done for me! And yes, as you might have guessed by now, this was indeed the episode at the root of that enDearment (sorry, I couldn't resist!)... I mean, how could we not, when he looks so gloriously regal, so stunningly elegant, in that absolutely GORGEOUS chapan?! Thanks again, my Dear, for sharing your Dimash journey with us all - and if you're ever having a bad day, or have any doubts about how well your videos are received, just take a little look at the comment section here, and feel all the love and support we have for you!❤
I agree. Dimash has really shined the light on such a strong and wonderful culture and nation. And, yes, the feedback you all give me is truly wonderful and much appreciated! Thanks for posting!!
Andy, thanks for another great reaction and analysis of Dimash’s performance. He’ll be holding a solo concert at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY on December 10th. 👏🏼🤗💗🌺
I've been watching your reactions to Dimash and enjoying them so much! Thank you! I love how you collect information about the song before you react! That's how it should be! Bravo!
I believe those were his grandparents they showed backstage. They raised him as is customary in Kazakhstan. I love this one for every reason you said. Music is so important to bring us all together.❤️
Dimash' loving and proud connection to the traditional music and customs of Kazakhstan are absolutely giving his performances an extra dimension (and I found you put it very well in this video for those not noticing it). Later on this Dimash-journey you will encounter him singing "Ogni Pietra - Olimpico". It was written specifically for Dimash by Igor Krutov and performed first time at the opening of the second European Olympic Games in Minsk 2019. There are several versions of Dimash performing this song on YT, and I personally prefere the one at Arnau concert in Almata 2019 (but not the fan cam). To get back to where I started though, the traditional and Dimash emotional connection to his beloved Kazakhstan giving performances extra dimension, the version of Ogni Pietra I love the most is the one sung by him in the arena in Minsk. He's there as a singer but also a representative for Kazakhstan, wearing a suit in the color of Kazakhstan flag and visually taken by the moment. Unfortunately the camera doesn't focus on him singing more than a few seconds (it follows the olympian flag carried around the arena), but those seconds are amazing because of the extra dimension you get by also seeing his emotional precence, -as in this video of Daididau. Thank you for sharing!
Saludos fraternos.
Great analysis bravo 👌👏👍he sings this song as he gets into the characters who got pain due his wife left him because of misleading information.. next Daybreak episode which he got struggle with his voice if you pick from Gloria Wu channel..but his 60% stamina is equal to 90% for normal human beings due Dimash is categorized as superhuman based on Mr Fu Lin statement 😎
You are such a great reactor. Your knowledge about music and your soul sensitivity make me watch you every time you posting. And this was started from Dimash 😄 Love you. Thanks
Great reaction. Dimash is absolutely the best. He changest the world of all of us. And yes, it is happiness and honor to live with Dimash at the same time. Greetings from Hungary 🇭🇺
loved that you mentioned the long pause as silence is such an important way of punctuating a song. It creates drama and intensity when the artist knows how to do it well.
I love your reactions and respect of the cultural importance. It’s too bad Worlds Best made America look bad. As an American who has seen him in concert and met him, I can honestly say he’s the best singer in the world and a super nice guy. I love his Kazakh songs... Jamaica, Layla and many others are fantastic! I can’t wait to see him again in NY... 87 days and counting! Lol
I highly appreciate that you always do homework and carefully reading comments, that's why you well informed and prepared to the next reaction! It's priceless! Great attitude! You know, I watched here a lot of reactions, and some of vlogers even don't care about story behind a song, they even not interested in lyrics, they are lasy to turn on the subtitles that they can understand the meaning of the song! They show us such an artificial emotions, waving their hands showing a lot of gestures, screaming like they have been amaized, rollong up their eyes, to be exact showing us some drama. It's very naive to think that we are childish and stupid, to think that we are emotionally undeveloped! All these things they do olny for hyping up their channal! Thank you very much for being true!!! 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
He is a bright smart guy who already knew that if he wasn't going to win the competition Ruby he is pom pom to jump into World recognition which eventually hapoened
Andy, you are great! Such a sweet guy you are, thanks for your reacts! Igor Krutoy wrote the song OGNI PIETRA specially for him, please react to this one next! Thank you!
Next episode will be Daybreak, I guess. Could you please react and compare Daybreak in Singer ( where Dimash was sick 🤒 and lost his voice🥺) and Daybreak in concert Bastau , also in 2017. Thanks a lot , sincerely from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿
