Thanks for reacting to KZ finally, while there are many superb singers in the Philippines, she is so unique in many ways. It was because her Say Somethings in Singer 2018 that I started to discover Filipino music and blew my mind. What amazed me most is her versatility, she just beats every genre…I couldn’t believe one singer can do it all…

The best live performance was the Singer 2018 in China competition, plus the professional bands. Rolling in the Deep, Say Something, Royal, See You Again. Though her version on the competition show was fantastic, and she had the crowd in the palm of her hand, this version is so incredible as well. Thanks for your reaction. Her version on Singer 2018 shows how she can capture an audience, and it was the votes of the audience that resulted in her winning that episode. "Say Something" is good too, but in a different way. For a jazzier side of her there is her duet with Jaya on "Feeling Good". Usually, when people start with the Singer version, I suggest watching the short video "KZ Tandingan meets Jessie J", filmed the same day as that performance, where KZ talks about her range being affected by an issue with polyps that almost made her quit singing as a teen.

Actually, when KZ Tandingan was younger, she shared in BBC Radio London that she had polyps on her vocal cord which altered her voice from reaching a high range belter into a huskier tone more suitable to RnB style.

Hi, I didn’t come here initially when I saw your thumbnail cause I was nursing my frustration that you weren’t while watching the singer 2018 version. This is great too though, I just always prefer when to the people watch the other one as a first impression first. That one was really such an experience that cannot be described. But I knew that this would be a great one for you to watch as well, but before I could come in and watch it I had other things to do around the house… Anyway, now I’m here to see my girl because I’m so glad you’re finally reacting to the best overall artist from the Philippines in my opinion. Her and Sarah Geronimo. But really this girl is in a league of her own. KZ Tandingan can rap and scat jazz and impersonate instruments and play instruments and do ballads, up-tempo‘s, hip-hop, folk, jazz, reggae, I’m sure she can do doo-wop or something. I’ve seen her do most of the genres and she’s just nuts!

Hi Bethany! KZ is absolute fire! One of my favorite artists in the world. She's amazing. Truly. I suggest a follow-up reaction to KZ doing Rolling in the Deep from The Singer 2018. It's better in some ways than this version, which was astonishing (I love how she nailed the end of the rap in this version though, as well as the changes in tone there). This version was more refined maybe, and she was jamming, but you have to see her actually perform on stage (sounds like you did). She's an entertainer. Hands down one of the best performances I have ever seen, and it put KZ on my short, short list of artists I have to see live someday. I think it would be fun to do this song as a reaction again, but I also suggest anything and everything else she did from The Singer 2018, as well as her cover of Close to You, for a surprise. What a talent! Great reaction!
