Please reaction to: "Asi Fue", con Isabel Pantoja with Juan Gabriel, is the best version from this song. And Rocío feeling in this song because remind her son.
See you leater master of voice! Youre Chanel is great.
You are the sadness of my eyes, That cry in silences for your love, I look at myself in the mirror and i see in me, The times that I have suffered because of your goodbye. I demand that I forget you in my thoughts, Well I’m always thinking of the yesterday, I prefer to be asleep than awake, Because of how much It hurts that you aren’t here. How I wish you were Alive , That your little eyes never would have closed, And that I’d be Staring at them. Eternal love and unforgettable!! Sooner or later I’ll be with you, To continue to love each other, I have suffer a lot due to your absence, From that day until today, I have not been happy. And even though there is a calm within my conscious, I know I could have done more for you. I’m have a lonely darkness since your passing. You are the love which I have ever known. The saddest memory from Acapulco, How I wish that you were alive. That your little eyes never would have closed, And that I’d be Staring at them, Eternal love and unforgettable, Sooner or later I’ll be with you, So that we can continue to love each other, Eternal love,
In the 80’s I used to have an Asian hairdresser & she would play Rocio all the time. I asked her if she understood her, she said no & I translated her as she did my hair... she cried & fell more in love with Rocio her reaction was priceless❤️
My Mexican mom loves abba and doesn’t know the lyrics but you’ll always hear her playing them. I also translated the lyrics and was at awe!!
@@mtmaguila100 No mi amigo.
I’ve heard many people’s interpretations of this song but nothing compares to Rocio’s version. Her voice, her expressions and mannerisms really hit you in your soul. I cry every time I hear it.
Recomend this song to who ever lost anyone in their lives makes people cry and get their grief out with this song eternal love written by Juan gabriel and created such amazing friendship with this superstar. Rocio dulcan.
I lost my mother and I never imagined that I would become someone other than cry like a child when listening to a tremendous song with a heartbreaking lyric 😭
@@sugarpop7377 you are wrong, Rocío losta son, that's why she is crying. Juan Gabriel wrote this song to his mother who passed away too. Have your facts checked
. . . I was in a mariachi from 10 to 14 years old, and they gave me this song to play on May 10 (mothers day), and months before my grandmother had passed away, and many times I had to stop because I started crying for the lyrics, everyone has cried with that song.
My dad used to sing this song a lot when my mom pass away. Now both pass away and every time I hear this song reminds me of both of them..❤❤.. Love this song ❤❤
For the record : You said she was Mexican, the first time you knew her on the duet with Juan Gabriel, she was not, she was born in Spain and with a very successful career in her country, and also in Mexico she gain the heart of all of us to the point of obtaining the beautiful and fair nickname "La española más mexicana", very beloved because she captured and delivered the feeling of the Mexican "flavor" of performing in her very unique style RIP. Please do a reaction on her daughter Shaila Durcal "No sirvo para estar sin ti", you will be amazed how similar, but "fresh" are both compared. Thanks.
@Christina Lomeli bullseye!! You are totally right!! Rocío Durcal was a phenomenon, very singular, and hard to explain ; talking about regional Mexican music (specially) she was like bringing the "elegance" of flamenco with the "attitude" of mariachi in a very, very respectful and sensitive way and success. She will be always miss and love.
@@Ahonya666 Correct! And we are talking the 60's era, there are clips on the Internet where she also sings in those movies, she was like a perfect "girl next door" character.
@@Ahonya666 Ageed! Lots of pretty good performers : they could sing, act and dance as well, lots of entertainment and good times!!, it's a pretty good idea to react to duets, alongside solo great stars from Spain 🇪🇸 (greetings) like Marisol, Joselito, and Rocío Jurado (for example). Hello from the CDMX (Ciudad de México 🇲🇽)!!! Ge
It is indeed a beautiful song. Sad, but beautiful. Just a note: The story on Rocio having lost a son to drowning is actually a widesrpead MYTH. She never actually lost a child at all. She only had three children, Carmen, Antonio and Shaila, who are now all adults and are alive and well. Amor Eterno was written by Juan Gabriel, who dedicated it to his late mother. However, he could never record it himself in a studio because he couldn’t hold up without crying every time he tried to record it. Thus, years later he gave the song to Rocio to record it. The song became a smash hit and has since become a hymn for people in Mexico to dedicate to their lost loved ones. The reference to Acapulco in the lyrics was included because Juan Gabriel’s mother died there.
@@whatsername1942 Nope, not her husband either. She lost nobody. Rocio’s husband actually died 8 years after she died, her children are all still alive and well to this day.
This song reminds me so much of my mother (RIP) she loved my father so much and my father passed away while she was in her 30s and she never had another man in her life again. My mother waited 30 years for that day that she would be reunited with my father and in 2015 my mother died and is buried with my father and the stone now reads "together at last" R.I.P momma love you always
I’ve always loved this beautiful woman’s voice, she was from Spain, but adopted Mexico as her country. There’s a video where she sings this song, I believe to her husband ( maybe to her family) she had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, as she sings it and faces her husband her tears roll down her face....RIP Rocio
Jusn Gabriel wrote this for his mom... this is an anthem to grief and love, thank you for being so sensitive to what it means to so many of us... and yes. Like many have said here, I cried as soon as the guitars started playing...
I love how you do your homework and show respect and never half ass any of your videos...Huge respect for taking that time to make your videos special.
Beautiful song composed by Juan Gabriel he was giving a concert in Acapulco when he was informed his mother has just passed away. Juan Gabriel continued his performance with the professionalism that always characterized him although his heart was thorn apart. Later he gave us the gift of his creation "Amor Eterno".
@@MasterofVoice Thank you Andy love your reactions...it ain’t hard to see you have a great ❤️. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, may God bless you!
Juan Gabriel was one of the most inspirational writers of all times. Beautifully interpreted by Rocio Dúrcal! I listen to both Juan Gabriel & Rocio Dúrcal’s songs all the time. 🦋
I cried....I simply cannot hear this song and not cry. When you lose a loved one... this song will make you cry too. Juan Gabriel wrote this song for his mom. Thank you for reacting to this song.
Anyone else started listening to jams like these either again or now with a whole new sense of appreciation for it? Juan Gabriel, Vicente Fernandez, Los Bukis, etc And all thanks to Andy
I LOVE the songs of my parents (mid-70’s) I can sing with my mom in the car and my dad doesn’t say a word. I will forever cherish those moments with her! Juan Gabriel is my all-time fav!
I did, and I feel so bad. I had the opportunity to go see Juan Gabriel live in a concert and I didn't. I don't have that opportunity now and I regret my decision so much.
This performance was the first I had ever seen by Rocio Durcal. I was immediately enthralled and mesmerized. The song is exquisitely beautiful and Juan Gabriel wrote it as a dedication to his late mother. Miss Durcal's voice was made for this song. RIP dear, talented lady. Thank you so much for posting this heavenly song. It, as always, brings tears to my eyes.
Rocio was a magnificent singer! May she rest in peace, she passed away 2010. This song was not written by Rocio. It was written by Juan Gabriel about the death of his mother. He learned the news while he was in Acapulco, hence the reference to "my saddest memory of Acapulco". Beautiful & emotional song!
Rocio Durcal was an amazing Spanish singer. I had the honor to see her perform on stage. This song is so beautiful and sad at the same time. I get teary eyes everytime I listen to it because I miss my grandmother. RIP Rocio, Juan Gabriel and my grandmother 🙏
Y Nino Bravo, hermanos? Buffffff.... Camilo Sesto, Serrat, Chiquetete, Manzanita, La grandisima Jurado, Víctor Manuel, Ana Belén, Perales, Sabina... Seguimos? Saludos desde Valencia. Viva España y viva la Hispanidad. ORGULLOSO DE NUESTRA HISTORIA.
This fabulous singer died way before her time. She has amazing hits. Glad I found your channel. My mom can’t listen to this song without crying. It is a song dedicated to a loved one passing.
Juan Gabriel wrote this song for a child she lost in Acapulco. I've sung this song in so many funerals. It's very difficult to go through til the end without choking on it. You are so sweet, Andy. There aren't many more chiverlous men in the world these days.
I sung this song to my uncle who passed away at his funeral.. he was like a father to me this song has helped me grieve I cry Everytime I listen to her sing ..she performed it beautifully.❤
Yes. She was an exceptional singer from Spain. The really true talent. There are not singers like that anymore. For sure this song makes us cry ( spanish people). I just feel and think of my dead mother, because that what you wish to see them again. Thank you for your beautiful reaction to this amazing song.
I'm so glad you can share the pain in this song. So many of us who have had the pleasure of listening to this song since a young age have always felt that sadness in this song. It is part of us. Thank you and I'm glad you can join us in sharing this painful song. Yours truly.
The story of her losing a child is an urban legend. The song was written by Juan Gabriel to his mother. She had three children, two girls and one boy. The youngest daughter is also a singer and take after her mother amazingly.
Beautiful, maravilloso, me recuerda a Juanga!, she reminds me of Juan Gabriel. Su estilo, her style, su voz, her voice, even that unique “crying” sound in her voice, me encanta el llanto en su voz!
Impossible not to talk about Rocio without talking about Jyan Fabriel and viceversa. Of course, he was his writer and producer and she had so many hits perhaps more than him.
Hola Andy!!!!!
It never fails-I cried when I was little when I listened to this song and just now I bursted into tears again! That loss of her child was felt through every word, syllable of this song. 😞
Damn I’m in tears right now. This just brings the best and saddest memories of a couple of people that are no longer here. Thank you for this reaction.

This song is beautiful!!! I literally cry every time I listen to this song 🎶 Juan Gabriel la escribió desde el corazón y nos llega hasta lo más profundo!!!
My daughter Played with Mariachi Albuquerque... She sang this song with compassion. She made 2 GROWN men cry.... I miss her singing with them and playing the violin..
Juan Gabriel wrote this song and was inspired by the death of his mother in 1974, news he received when the singer was on tour in Acapulco, Guerrero, a fact that is reflected in the song's lyrics.
If you haven't already, you absolutely owe it to yourself to listen to the studio version of this hit recorded when she was at the very height of her powers. Her riffs and scoops and general virtuosity is just gorgeous. She had just lost her son at the time and the emotion was absolutely raw. Obviously, if you can find a live performance recorded from that time (1983-1999) where the sound engineer had the vocals more front and center pounce on it immediately. Como Tu Mujer, Costumbres and La Gata Bajo La Lluvia are also outstanding! Thank you for such a nuanced, respectful and heartfelt reaction to one of our most beloved and dearly missed artists. She was quite a lady. Bendiciones.
I love seeing this type of content on RU-vid, I am Mexican and I can assure you that this music inspires and motivates us. Well, the message is very strong and reaches all hearts.Greetings from Mexico and I hope you continue to enjoy our music a lot ❣️😊
I’m a Spanish speaker as a first language from the Dominican Republic and incredible but true, i’m discovering all this awesome music now thanks to your master reviews of them, i want to thank you for that, wish you the best!
I’m so happy that you analyzed her voice. It’s the best female voice in Spanish language. Just to clarify, she didn’t lose any child, she’s just very histrionic because she started her career as an actress in Europe. You would love to see her perform of ‘Como Tu Mujer’.
Thanks for reviewing this song and this performance she truly is amazing I listen to music all over the world and from all genres in from all decade and this song performed by her never guess old, may she rest in peace
