It is filled passion and Whitney stylazation under control. smh. Whitney had a lane all her own. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE-- Could you react to H.E.R.'s superbowl performance. For me, it was phenomenal! But, aside from that, her song choices, chord changes, and vision for the song, was stunning. It was so uniquely hers that you get the feeling she could have written the song herself. She stayed true to the song, especially in the beginning, but took the song into a lane of its own I can almost see this on a CD. She is such a gifted artist in so many ways. i really only listen to gospel/worship and praise now...except for reaction videos on songs that are uplifting or new talent on shows. This was an amazing performance and I remember it well!! I have loved Whitney Houston since 1984 when i first heard her magnificent voice on the radio. She was truly America's golden girl and sweetheart in 1991!! It pisses me off that after all she did and meant to this country and the world that people 10 years later were so cruel and made her a laughing stock with parodies on comedy shows and stand comedy routines - when she was clearly in trouble and needed help. I wish the media had been kinder to her too - maybe she would still be here.

I absolutely love this version as well as the super bowl performance! She took it to another level!! I am so sick of people yelping about it was prerecorded at the super bowl and it was a playback and she did not sing it live. Well she recorded it live and they played it while she still sung it! But this live performance is in everyone's face who keep going on about what she did not sing live!! Well, this is live!! All you naysayers who keep going on about what was recorded, she proved (not that she had to or needed to for me) but she said, here... naysayers take this!!!! I just love it! The woman was gifted and she was Amazing in the gift God gave her!!!

As a musician and I sing is that you have to start low on this song. If you start too high this song will beat the crap out of you towards the end. Most savvy musicians/singers know to start this song low in their range unless you have 5 to seven octaves like a Whitney or Mariah.
