The fact that this performance was 7 or 6 years ago 😭 already THAT GOOD and now they improved a lot in vocal techniques. I really hope EXO will go to Killing Voice this year to show the audience that they are still the vocal kings of kpop.

The reaction when Chanyeol put down the guitar and started singing was priceless. The funny thing is he wanted to sing when he started in the group, but he was made one of the rappers. Consequently he excels at both singing and rapping. He also plays multiple instruments.

D.O's voice colour is more universal. He is the kind of singer that can do well singing in any language. I think he has proven that.

What I love about EXO is, they have different vocal range, but when they Harmonize, it's like heaven. If you like our DOH KYUNGSOO, listen to his english version of the song "FOR LIFE". Or EXO's cover of the song 'OPEN ARMS' by Journey. Although English is not their first language but they hit it right in the heart.

Kyungsoo (D.O.) has my favorite voice in Kpop, it’s just breathtaking and beautiful, he has been praised for his spoken voice too, he’s an actor and drama fans always mention his clear speech and his voice as something that stands out nicely in dramas. They are trained for it. They got amazing voice coaches. Even without a comeback they never stop taking voice lessons. The way they control is simply amazing esp on lower notes. Lower note is the hardest to hit than high. EXO got it all with Chen hitting the lowest as well as highest notes. Ofc they had to make an effort to hit the perfect note. The adlibs are perfect for the song.

After watching your first reaction, I was seriously waiting for you to react on the Chanyeol's part that was the first guy today, the guitarist who sang and made you guys mad and stunned. Yeah! I'm so proud to say he can play more than 5 instruments like acoustic guitar, bass guitar, piano, drum. And he's actually a rapper and also a disc jockey. and he sings. Please react on more D.O(Doh KyungSoo) the one with buzz cut, because in most of Exo's best vocal compilations, fans tend to think that high notes are the most amazing thing when ofc there are more than that. It seems some people didn't appreciate him enough even as a fan because he isn't getting more high notes as a main vocalists compare to the other 2 main vocalists. Exo has 3 main vocalists.

I love it when people realize what beautiful vocalists EXO are. My bias is D.O. and I'm so happy you noticed him right away and noticed how he sings so effortlessly and yet so beautifully. Many people think high notes equals great vocals but many don't realise that its not always true. Some people do those high notes every time they sing and it stops being special. My favorite singer of all is Whitney Houston. She knew when to drop the high notes

I always get immense satisfaction (as a fan) whenever people gets shocked/amazed that EXO’s main rapper ACTUALLY SINGS GOOD (he’s the one playing the guitar fyi) 😃 and i do agree that all of them have their own vocal colors and they can all actually debut as a soloist (which most of them are now!!!) ❤

For the last song the first two guys that sang are Chen, sings with vibrato alot I think that became his style and D.o had always has a clear open tone when he sings. They are 2 out of the 3 Main vocalists of Exo and the other main vocalist is baekhyun the one you guys talked about on the first song when he sang delicately then did the switch up right before the first chorus.

You're so right! Anyone in EXO could be the main vocalist in any other group, but next to the "power house of kpop": Chen, Baekhyun and D.O. all the rest get the role of lead singers only. EXO are Vocal Kings of kpop for a good reason: 11 years into their career they still take singing lessons and progress each year.

Kyungsoo, or stagename D.O, (buzzcut) isn't a natural born dancer like someone like Jongin, stagename Kai, (the first guy to dance the solo in the last video), but he is a very quick and adaptable learner. Like others have mentioned he was able to learn to tap dance very well for an acting role. In addition to being an amazing singer, he is also an amazing actor and has won a number of awards for his acting. You need to listen to a compilation of his runs. He's very good at isolating every note so that each is clear and not just mashed together. Kyungsoo, Baekhyun (who you commented on first in this video), and Jongdae, stagename Chen, (who you commented in not being very comfortable with his vibrato not working as well when he sings low), are the main vocalists of EXO which is why they get the lion's share of lines and sing most of the showstopping adlibs and high notes. EXO has a few songs featuring just main vocal line or just Kyungsoo and Baekhyun as a duo that I think you should check out! Fun fact: EXO used to have two units; one promoted in Korean (EXO-K) and the other in Mandarin (EXO-M). Jongdae was in EXO-M while Kyungsoo and Baekhyun were EXO-K members which is why songs with only 2/3 of them singing exist.

We welcome your professional insights to help us understand and appreciate the hardwork behind such beautiful songs and performances that we love so much about EXO. I've watched part 1 of this reaction as well and obviously you fell for the voice of our DO (buzzcut guy) because who doesn't? As you can read in the comments, there are 3 main vocalists (in my opinion all can be contenders) D.O your "bias" , Chen ( the guy who you said to be forcing his vibrato) and Baekhyun ( guy who did the smooth transition but there was a bit of stretch at the end) - equally vocally gifted humans in all honesty. All of them have impressive discography and successful solo careers as well as being recognised by the industry to be some of the best vocalists. Of course then people have their preference and by no way it means the others are bad. I personally just love all of their voices especially the main trinity. They have different styles and colours and ranges and when they sing together - chef's kiss! You guys are the experts, I'm not, so I don't know if this will make sense to you but I would like to add that maybe one of the reasons why Chen ( the guy you did compared to D.O) seemed to be "making" the sound instead of "letting it flow" naturally" is because he has a naturally loud voice and when I say loud, he's notoriously known for that. So in this case he had to sing low and quiet so I think that must be the reason why he had to exert effort to "make" it sound low and quiet. D.O on the other is in his very comfortable range as he has this natural RnB sound to him - dunno if that makes sense but you see he's at home in this particular set and he definitely ate this. Also, Chen tends to be given the highest notes in most of the songs as well as Baekhyun and this must be the reason why there was a minute strain when he did the belty part. This set was their break from at least an hour and a half of intense singing and dancing. Anyways thank you and I hope you dig deeper towards EXO. They're the coolest!

D.O. released a solo album last year titled 'Empathy" which is a chill album of love songs. My favorite song on the album is "Si Fueras Mia", yes in Spanish. How I love about D.O.'s voice/vocal is that eventho he always have those poker face when he's singing is that I can still feel the emotion and soul of the part that he is singing and eventho he is not always the one who singing the High Note part in thier group I really do still love D.O.'s Voice/Vocal because of the Calmness I get whenever I hear it 😢❤❤

Especially when you break down possible reasons for what’s happening; I appreciate how you illustrate it for us normies. Hopefully you'll be doing more EXO reactions; believe us, this is barely scratching the surface. Even in just the past 3 years, they've improved leaps and bounds, and not only that, found the styles matching their vocal colors--especially in their solo work. It's exciting to watch them grow as artists, truly! And they’re still going to vocal lessons, I love that they take their singing so seriously. There are a lot of compilations of their vocals both as a team and solo from way back, it would also be fun to see you react to those, but I'd like to suggest a video where you also do a recent solo sampler? Like with more recent performances that showcase their solo work, but more importantly, their individual color and how their vocals range in the styles that they have adopted for themselves. You might find that enjoyable to watch and dissect! Then from that, you can work your way back, to see how they developed? Might be more fun that way. Anyway, just a suggestion. :-) NOTES: The names listed are the video titles so you can just search them as is. ++ D.O. ++ The buzz cut guy you liked! D.O. is a bit more focused on acting recently (he’s legitimately good and acclaimed at that too, aka annoying haha) but hopefully we'll get more music and live singing from him.  The one you commented on lacking air during the lower notes. His solo work is a lot of ballads and beautiful, mellow pieces. But he also shines in stronger, rock-ish arrangements. (See: “Best Luck”.) I think you’ll thoroughly enjoy getting to know him vocally; he’s a huge fan favorite, voice-wise. For good reason! ‘You Never Know’, ’Last Scene’ and ‘Traveler’ are his solos. I can't speak Spanish but I've read from Spanish speaking fans that his pronunciation is great! EXO had a different song where a group of them sang a Spanish cover and he had the best pronunciation of everyone. His English pronunciation is also top notch. Sorry, will stop heaping stuff on you. Like I said, he's my favourite member and I love when other people love on him.

(the dark short haired guy) They both have the quality of just being able to breath out the most beautiful notes, runs and belts, like its nothing for them.
