this video finally helped, every other tutorial was too fast and didn't explain what I needed to know properly, now my friends are complaining my mic sounds like ass, thanks bro
Hi, thank you so much! I've been getting confused with this thing for 3 days now, but you explained really well and it cleared my mind. You're awesome dude ;) Thx
I like the approach you are taking in keeping it simple. Suggestion, turn off the music. When doing an instructional video learning trumps being entertained by the background music. Just bring the music in when you need it for instruction. I will keep playing it over again, till I get it. Thank you for the heard start.
@@DonatoAnzalone I think the music actually helps me focus more. It takes the seriousness out of it and actually helps me learn like I’m a kid again. To each their own.
What does the comp do next to the gate? Also, is there a way to compress sound? I’m looking to up the footstep audio and lower explosion audio in games
This is a great help. I am beginning to understand how this works. Thanks very much. I can configure my USB sound card inputs now. What does the virtual cable do, or shouldn't I ask? :-)
Thank you for this video and for your clear explanation. The pace is right for a non-tech person like me. I am using Windows 10 and iTunes in my laptop to do Zoom live stream for my Zumba class. I followed your instructions but when I play my iTunes playlist, it is not captured in the mixer. There is no music form my laptop either. My mixer interface has only 2! hardware instead of three. One virtual input instead of two. And A1 and A2!only. There is no A3! I hope you can help me with this problem. (I donated for the cable A and B. ) I am using laptop mic and speaker. My wireless mic is in transit from overseas.
great tutorial^^ This really made it less intimidating and I think I can do this!!! I am getting an echo when I record while playing a you tube music in the back ground. Also the music is really loud even when I have it turned down low. which channel is causeing the echo?
Hi sorry for the late reply! The echo could mean two things; could mean you have two hardware inputs outputting the same audio. To check this just press the mute button on each of the outputs to find out if the echo goes away when you mute one of them. Use trial and error to find out which hardware input is causing the echo!
so my microphone is plugged into an interface which also has a second input for my piano or guitar. there is no way i can see to select only one of those inputs, so when i set my interface to hardware input 1, its lumping my instrument together with my mic... is there a way around this? I'm so confused T_T
I'm day 2 into trying to understand voice meeter lol. I'm about 4 guides in now and i still don't undestand it completely. Part of the problem is that i'm using windows 7 and everyone else is using windows 10 i think. These software mixers are a huge headache. Thanks for giving me more info to add to my collection, i'm sure it'll sink in eventually.
I followed everything as you describe it, and I can't get to hear my voice - the hardware input meter doesn't raise at all. I am using a scarlett studio microphone through Focusrite scarlett 2i2 and the input in banana is focusrite USB, as well as the output. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!
Hi, I need help. I follow several tutorials how to use Voicemeeter banana, but I cannot use it for what I want. My keyboard is connected with the MIDI cable to the computer and takes the sounds I select in Aria Player. A webcam is connected to to computer. As you explained, the webcam microphone is connected to the first Hardware input, the second Hardware input is Cable output VB audio virtual, A1 is for my headphone and A2 for my speaker. I can ear my voice, I can ear you in the video, it's OK, but nothing to ear from Aria Player or for my keyboard. If I select at the bottom of the screen Voicemeeter input VB-Audio instead my speaker A2 , I ear only noise. How should I set parameters for the purpose I explained. My use is to make video of me playing and speaking for my keyboard teacher 1'500 km away through internet, and to play on soundtrack. As the Beatles: Help give me some help! At more as 70 years it's really not easy to learn Voicemeeter. Thank you Robert
My son is getting realy exitet when we are playing games and his microphone is shutting of his voice when he is this loud. Do you know any possiblity to compress the audio for him with VoiceMeeter so that I still can hear him all the time even when he is loud? This Video is by far anyway the best I have seen explaining VoiceMeeter!
I see what you did there with the speakers on a2. Right now I have an audio splitter for my headphones and speakers so both of them get the same audio. My speakers have a volume knob so I can turn em up or down on my desk.. Either way isn't a bad route. Doing it on software isn't a bad way to go about it. I didn't think to do it that way on voicemeeter.
I get the Error: cannot open file when i try and put my spotify or voicemeeter in the tape recorder lookin thing. How do I fix that? I already made voice meeter run as an admin
could you help me set this in like discord or something bc i cant seem too be doing things right and i dont have a cable out up, so could you please help me
How do you get the music to play in the background as you're doing the video? This has been something I've been wanting to get an answer to but it's almost impossible.
For some reason this doesnt work for me anymore, it just stopped working i have tried do setup this again following this tutorial (that worked last time) and it doesnt work anymore :(
Doesn’t work, my mic won’t even pick anything up after this whole mess and I had to reset my entire pc back to factory setting as the the entire sound bar was glitched and would not work anymore.
I'm trying to figure out how to play music in Squad so everyone one in the lobby can hear is that basically what [ B2 ] does? Also after I set it up I can't hear the in game sound anymore jwing how to I fix this? And how to make it to wear I can play as usual but have everyone in the game hear my music as well. 😊
Haha im here for the same reason. My problem is my mic wont work for voice while i have vb on which on squad is a bit of a problem as u may know. I have headphones on a1 and sound cable on b1. My pc settings are set to input vb input and output is set to vb cable. My vb cable is set to default on playback and recording as well. My music and game are set on vb cable in advanced settings. My game settings are set to vb cable for both input and output. I can stream music into chat and i can hear game audio as well. If your inputs are not all set properly or squad is not set to vb cable, game audio wilI not be heard. I hope this helps.
Would've like a little more coverage on the far two right sections (says Virtual at the bottom). At one point you said "this is my mic", but nothing much else. You also have a setting at the top showing "Stereo Repeat", but you didn't explain why. I'm looking at this from the point of view of broadcasting for online radio. Similar, perhaps, to OBS or Discord except, you know, without other people! :)
YALL GO WATCH HIS VIDEO ITS A LIFE SAVER. Both him and VSS clan Have incredible videos I do not want to take away from this guys video by sending you to another channel but SymPartical just breaks down the OBS and discord part while VSS breaks down the general part!
hey go to your sound control panel and make sure everything looks good in there for your speakers properties, also make sure they are set to a1 or a2, make sure to press the a1 or a2 button when you want to hear sound from the device you choose. The button I speak of is under VIRTUAL INPUTS in the voice meeter program
bro the explaination in google chrome be like: step 1: ok so first you install it step 2: ok so now you chane the vsc port to work with the aux port and you should have all audio different
I wonder why audio routing software is not doing a visual programming approach with nodes like in Unreal Engine. I know this is also not common knowledge for people, but for me personally it would help me so much more understanding what goes where.
If you check out some other tutorial videos for voicemeter most of them explain the cable output thing. It's something you download off the voicemeter website and basically creates a "virtual cable" as if you plugged something else in, but it's all digital. I did find it odd he didn't explain that part.
@@tatsgamingofficialph5223 the windows input for volume should be Voicemeeter Input (VB Audio Voicemeeter Vaio) in the bottom right of the windows menu.
This video is awesome but I have 1 problem ... my mic sounds terrible no matter what I do ... no matter how I EQ it or whatever settings I change it’s sounds the same .. terrible
ok i got a problem i put my labtop sound on voice meeter and it turned the sound off. but when i put it on my headset it works.. am i doing something wrong?
If you meant how to disable HEARING your own voice all you have to do is unhighlight either A1 or A2 from the microphone. Whichever you don't want to hear yourself from.
@eblman yes for OBS to hear the voicemeeter audio you have to go into the OBS audio settings and make sure the desktop audio is set to voicemeeter banana
voice meeter is ass, all i wanted is to let myself listen to spotify but not let the stream hear it, why do it easy when you can make it so hard that only Harvard students understand
