For me i to play music thru my "mic" i had to change "App volume and device prefrences" and put spotify's device to "CABLE Input (VB-Audio) Then it works.
yo i have voicemod and voicemeeter combined together and i have an echo when i play fivem, people tell me that i have a echo and saying they can hear my game audio from my mic. I listen trough my headphones.
Hey Huke….are you still around? I watched your video as I’m now using Voicemeeter…and your comment at 0:15 seconds in your video about playing Call of Duty and wanting to hear footsteps better. Were you going to show us how to configure our settings for this? Disclaimer, I’m hearing impaired and this would come super handy for me to learn how.
yeah man still around! Whatever I upload next though probably won't be anything audio related, but still tech. in terms of this, it's just taking advantage of the ability to apply an EQ to your inputs and outputs. So generally a good EQ for footsteps would be: Boost the High-Mids (2kHz - 5kHz) Cut the Low-Mids (200Hz - 500Hz) Slight Boost in the Upper Highs (8kHz - 10kHz) Cut the Bass (below 100Hz) Honestly, just copy and paste this into chat gpt and fine tweak it that way, have it explain anything you dont know lol
do you know why I dont have the "I" button on each of the effects pannels like you do? I have no idea why I wouldnt. Also, dispite setting up mine the same way (I even have hte same audio interface as my mic) my voice meter seems to be ignoring any effects I apply to my voice, including the volume levels. it just does a vanilia recording no matter what, any idea why?
The 'I' button - The only guess I would have, is that you're using a different version of voicemeeter than me (2.0.6.8) Also I have no idea what this button actually does, I tired looking through the user manual for it, couldn't find any helpful information on it, but I did test my audio with it on and off, there was a noticeable difference. No effects applied - if youre recording your audio through the voicemeeter tape, do this. Right click anywhere on the tape recorder. Select "Post-Fader Outputs: Virtual Bus B1 *exit out* Double check that you do have the B1 button turned on green under your microphone
I am running Window 10. Would Voicemeeter be a good choice for mixing my microphone (my voice) and "Stereo Mix" (RU-vid music) together, and sending the output to Zoom? And hearing everything on my headphones exactly as the other meeting attendees hear it? (Stereo throughout). Or would I be better off just using virtual cables into a VST host running a mixer?
Im a bit confused on the output since have a headphones and speakers and i casually switch it since i usually watch movies and play games and use my headphones and go into discord
For selecting the output inside of voicemeeter, you'll just select your headphones - whatever is normal for you to use. Inside the windows sound settings, you'll choose voicemeeter as your output
im confused because the audio sounds fine when im in the software but when i load up discord it just doesnt let me hear other people and i can only hear the discord sfx, i got a mic attatched to my headphone. i dont know if thats the problem.
If I have the option to make sure that my audio is perfectly matched between the left and right channels, then I'll check that box off. It also offers you a bit of a gain boost (you may or may not want this)
@@HukeIsMe im using a headset type microphone and when I play back my recordings even without mono enabled in voicemeeter it doesn't sound like the audio isn't matched between the left and right channels though
@@Joewnny yeah, if youre using a headset or usb mic it wont be an issue. I use a condenser microphone that goes through an interface, which isnt perfectly even between the two channels
@@HukeIsMe oh ok and I was wondering if I should untick the "exclusive mode" options in my microphone settings? the "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" and "give exclusive mode applications priority" options?
@@HukeIsMe From what I've read, it seems that you are correct. I was getting confused with the 30-day trial it vaguely suggests next to the download link.
@@pseudo.Random-KF Potato is a donationware, it can be downloded for free, tho at 30/60 days they will start to send you a "Want to donate?" popUp in the app kinda like WinRAR, and it'll stop working for (2*weeks without dono) seconds, this happens at boot and every 12 hours the program is up, the timer resets if you close/open it, it's not a big deal, used it for 2/3 years without using it. The minimun dono is $10 and lasts lifetime while you dont change your motherboard I think, and even then I believe (not checked tho) you can get 1 new code for free, just 1 time
Anyways uhm... I bought a whole bunch of shungite, rocks, do you know what shungite is? Anybody know what shungite is. No, no Suge Knight, I think hes locked up in prison. Talking shungite. Anyways, its a 2 billion year old like rock, stone that protects against frequencies and unwanted frequencies that may be traveling in the air. So thats my story. I bought a whole bunch of stuff, put them around the la casa. Little pyramids. Stuff like that.
Oh wow, that's super cosmic! But have you heard about Moonlace? It's not as mainstream as shungite, but it's out of this world! Literally! Moonlace is a fabric woven from the finest moonbeams, harvested during the third quarter of the lunar cycle. It's said to have the power to refract Earthly woes and cosmic rays, transforming them into positive vibes and occasional rainbows. I've draped my entire space in Moonlace. My cat, Sir Whiskers, even has a Moonlace collar. And guess what? He's been purring in D minor ever since, which, as everyone knows, is the key to universal harmony. So, while you're shielding against frequencies with rocks, I'm harmonizing with the cosmos in D minor. Keep it lunar
Probably not reading this anyway, but just in case: could you drop me a personal settings guide for my rode podmic? I've got a m audio mtrack duo audio interface.
What kind of a question is this? He's providing value to an audience, which you are a part of. Some people just want to be a-holes, especially people who comment on RU-vid
