Ha ha, you didn’t notice that the bass singer, GEOFF, went from singing down in the depths of hell all the way up to a much higher and brighter voice. It’s hard to believe that it’s the same person, I hear he has a five octave range! That must’ve been about two minutes and 50 seconds into the video.

Welcome to the world of VoicePlay and Geoff Castellucci who I know will seriously blow your mind Jen. He is the bass singer but has a 5 octave range. You need to check out a lot of his solo material as well such as Headless Horseman or Sixteen Tons. A good next song for Voiceplay would be "If I Were A Rich Man/Girl" which is a Fiddler On The Roof/Gwen Stefani mashup

The groups has gone through some lineup changes since this video. If I Were a Rich Man/Girl is their latest members lineup. Another one of theirs to check out is Zombies vs Hillbillies - Survivor where they join with another excellent a cappella group Home Free, who also has a bass singer with a 5 octave range.

Voiceplay is amazing and I"m so glad you've found them! Not only are they all super talented, but they're very theatrical in their productions. They really get into whatever songs and roles they're portraying. Not to take anything away from any of the members, but the star of the group is most definitely Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci. He's the bass of the group, but he also has a 5 octave range. He's got a lot of solo stuff on his own channel you should dive into as well. I'm really looking forward to following your journey with Voiceplay and Geoff!

They have done four songs from The Nightmare before Christmas. "What's This" when Jack discovered Christmas Town, as well as "This Is Halloween" and "Kidnap The Sandy Claws". They also do a lot of movie medleys, "The Little Mermaid", "Moana", and "Frozen 2". Enjoy! ... Guy

Welcome to VP! This piece highlighted Geoff, but every member of the group is fantastic. Earl Elkins left last year and J None joined the Navy earlier this year. Cesar de la Rosa joined them this summer and they are featuring other artists until the fifth is chosen. Try Tennessee Whiskey, Carry on my Wayward Son, and Warriors.

Welcome to the world of Voiceplay!!!! They have done 4 songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas as well as some really good Disney medleys (Little Mermaid and Moana). They are really theatrical, and seem to really love what they do. Their version of Your a mean one, Mr. Grinch is another really great one. Their bass singer, Geoff Castellucci has also done some real good stuff on his own as well.

Jen As others mentioned, lead singer of this song, Geoff Castellucci has his own channel. He does covers of songs from Blackbird to Misty Mountain Cold (The Hobbit). It getting back to the holidays starting with Halloween - Geoff and Voice Play has songs on Halloween. By the way, Santa Claus was played by Geoff's brother in law I think....

Their version of This is Halloween is amazing, they've also done "What's this" and "Kidnap the Sandy Claws". The lead for this song is Geoff Castellucci, the bass. The one who plays zero is Layne Stein, the beatboxer and arranger for this song. The one with the beard is Earl (high tenor), the bald one is Eli (pronounced "Ellie") and the other one is J. None (baritone).

Firstly I am loving your new headphones!!! Hi Hi Jen. The bassist name is Geeoff Castellucci.. he has a 6 ocrtave range without pushing.. the guy is inhuman, and he does some solo stuff you might wanna look at where he sings his own 6 part harmonies with himself.. look at his cover of Blackbird by the Beatles or 16tons by ernie ford for example.. but when they come together as voice play you get amazing wonders like this or ' My Mother told me' ... Yeah, they have a whole NBC Playlist. One of their latest is a short of "Magic Dance" from Labyrinth. I'm REALLY crossing my fingers that they do more Labyrinth songs if it gets all the love from other fans that I know I have for that movie.

Sadly, VP has experienced more turnover than the other top a cappella groups (Home Free and Pentatonix.) Two of the five singers in this video have departed. One has been replaced, and VP is making frequent use of guest performers. JJ, you are about the right age (like my two daughters) to have been a big fan of Disney's "The Little Mermaid." Your third VP reaction (obviously, "This is Halloween" is #2) should be their "Little Mermaid Medley!" They brought in soprano Rachel Potter as a guest to handle Ariel's parts, Geoff (painted blue) is Ursula, and Eli, J. None, and Layne handle the other characters -- including Scuttle! New sub when I saw Voiceplay. Hope you do the other 3 songs from Nightmare Before Christmas that they covered. What is This?, This is Halloween, and Kidnap the Sandy Claws. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is VP. I can honestly say that I have not found one song that I have disliked of theirs. I love theater and their videos are always very theatrical. You should also check out Geoff Castellucci's solo channel (He's the bass) for his version of the Headless Horseman. As far as VP goes I always recommend Queen in 5 minutes, The Little Mermaid Medley, and Carry On My Wayward Son.

Voiceplay has done many great songs get into it. Here's one, Your a mean one Mr Grinch (it's great) Geoff Castellucci on his own has done alot too, Far over the Misty Mountains, sixteen tons, House of the rising sun. You should also listen to Misty Mountains Cold by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust. Geoff Castellucci is Bass singer for Voiceplay and Tim Foust is the Bass singer for Home Free (Tim and Geoff are friends - Tim helped Geoff with learning how to sing deep Bass) Hope you enjoy the Rabbit hole that is A-Capella 👍🍻😁

Lols. Probably the only time I've seen a reactor get gobsmacked by the full production and not that extremely low E1 Geoff drops at the end or the overall quality of his bass vocals. But, yes, check their work out. Lots of good stuff.

When my daughters (mid/late 30s) and granddaughters (ages 2 and 6) first discovered VP, they listened to both the "Little Mermaid Medley" and "Moana Medley." The vote was predictable -- the big girls went for their generation's favorite, and so did the little girls!

Hello Ms. Squirrel long time it's been. As you I am one of the biggest Nightmare Before Christmas fans. There all over my place all year and I have one arm tatted with them. Very dark and comical, but i didn't know the ghost of Heath Ledger's Joker was singing in it.. Interesting🤔🤔🤔 oh well trick or treat lady.
