I love that Cesar can basically sing in his natural accent, such a perfect fit, and his sass shines through! Layne and Geoff killed this. And poor Eli, LOL! I love their humor.
You should check also their cover they’ve just made before this one. It’s «The Dragonborn’s come» from Skyrim. This arrangement was indeed one of their best ones!
VoicePlay is so committed to the theatrics. I love the umbrella, Geoff’s blouse, and the “goat scream”. This arrangement was amazing. Thanks for your reaction.
My absolute favorite things about this video of VoicePlay's is that one part where Geoff's bass line sreems to keep saying 'Bruno' then again when Layne did it the beatbox in the end! It's SO cool!!
Instead of renting a theatrical backdrop as they often do, they took a high res picture of Casita and had it printed as a large vinyl sign, then added some plants and foliage to dress things up. And yes, that was the Screaming Goat sound.
Lol yes it was a goat scream that Layne found and edited it in after the video was done. I was so excited to see that you were doing this video. Layne did this arrangement and he nailed it. Glad to see you are back to reactions and that you are feeling better! 💜💜💜
This is so fun and funny. I love their sense of humor. That is a scenic backdrop and set pieces in the foreground. That wasn't the goat sound. Geoff made the face and Cesar did the scream. This is all Layne's fault. Geoff's hair fliping and wearing the matching clothes to Ashley. I know as I get to watch the behind-the-scenes videos. Remmi the rat on Geoff's shoulder belongs to Layne's daughter little princess Doris who is 5 or 6.
Jeez, I keep paying closer attention to different details-I thought through several viewings that was a live mouse and felt sorry for it when Geoff screamed. It’s a TOY! LOL. 🥴 You can tell when Layne arranges songs because his quirky sense of humor often shows through and there is ALWAYS some really inventive percussion-who else would take Fiddler on the Roof and go hip-hop, and what about all those inward bass notes and those “what was that?” almost mechanical whizzes and purrs that you hear in so many of his transitions. Ashley needs to be a regular featured guest. She is amazing. And Cesar-LOVE this kid’s acting and his vocal agility-clearly he can do anything. Eli’s comic timing in that “losing hair” thing was brilliant, and have you noticed that in songs like this he seems like the mellow, super nice guy you’d LOVE to have move in nextdoor, but he’s credibly dangerous in songs like Hoist the Colours and My Mother Told Me? And who doesn’t love it when Layne sings? I’d really love to hear him belt sometime, but I love his soft timbre in songs like this. And then there’s Geoff. He can be silky smooth, laying down some of the gorgeous rhythmic bass foundations that is another VP trademark, and go from being hilariously effeminate to villainous and dark in a quick beat. I second the posts asking you to check out The Dragonborn Comes. Fantasy nerds can’t pass that one up-it’s amazing. Terrific reaction, and I love that you pointed out so many details that help make this piece so fantastic. Sorry I missed the premier!
I enjoy watching you watching them so so much! What was that high note from Eli!!?? You never said! VoicePlay gets better and better each song...seems impossible!
This was fantastico.Yikes Layne killed the arrangement and his vocals beatbox and otherwise. Loved the pauses with Eli, Cesar keeps getting better all the time. The group singing the different lines together just topped it off. Ashley sounded beautiful and Geoff, we'll need I say more?
Great reaction as always Chris! Yes that was the goat scream 😂 in the bts Geoff does the scream himself but the guys decided that the goat scream was funnier 😂😂😂
Looks like you still need to experience voice play my mother told me. It's a Viking shanty Geoff show's off alittle. And Geoff solo work headless horseman awsome
