Thank you Mr. Walker for serving. You were able to paint a vivid picture of the day, and the chaos that took place as all moved toward a single goal. Truly an amazing group of warriors on a truly amazing day. Thank you Larry for another great video. Mr. Walker did a wonderful job of filling out much of what the Navy did and saw.

Dear Chet, Bob Walker is dearly missed. He is one of my very first WWII Veterans. I'm so glad you got to watch his story.

Susan, thank you for reaching out. What an honor it was to meet your Dad and to feature him in my first film on Omaha beach. Where are you at the premiere in 2003 in Phoenix? Have I met you? How is Barbara doing? Feel free to reach out. Here's my email. Larry Cappetto: lcappetto@icloud.com

What a wonderful man, father and patriot he was. He never spoke a word about his experience in Normandy for 50 years because the pain was too deep. He suffered from survivors guilt until the end. But he was a survivor and I would not be here today if he had not survived. I loved my father and honor his legacy., his bravery and his strong spirit. I am so happy his story lives on. Thank you for preserving his story and the story of these men who survived one of histories darkest days. God bless them all and those who did not survive. Cathie (Walker) Regan.

So good hearing from you again Cathie. God bless your family. My work has become bittersweet losing so many of my Veterans like your Father. It is an honorable burden to carry.

Thanks for all you have done Larry, to bring these stories to light. I never heard my father's experience with such detail. Fascinating. So happy he survived.

So many that served on the non-combat ships never got the recognition they deserved. My dad served on the USS Dixie AD-14 in the Pacific in WWII. He’s gone now. The were just getting rid of the LKA’s (new designation for the APA) when I enlisted in the Marine Corps. But in boot camp we had to climb down cargo nets in training mock ups.

My grandpa served on the USS Henrico During WW2. He was a AA Gunner, witness D-Day and Okinawa Operation. Then sent to Bikini Atoll with Henrico to carry all the scientist and equipment for the Atomic Bomb blast. He came back major radiation poisoning and past away in 2006. He was born in 1928 and lied about his age to get in the Military

Also - how about the US Merchant Marine? I worked with a fellow who served on their ships. He was blown overboard on two different crossings and survived. I would like to hear from them too.

I'm disappointed. I have been following, watching your content for some time and always coming away saying to myself, even though I don't really have an extra 100, I gotta support this man. Because you see, for me, just as you say, this is just too important . I have shared your content. I am a US Military veteran and retired DoD civilian. My dad retired Navy served supporting Korea and Vietnam wars, his dad was a WW-2 B-17 crewchief overseas. Well, tonight was going to be that night and so while listening to your opening comments I for the first time finally clicked on and began looking at all the faces fully intending to pitch in the 100 dollars to sponsor. I have a profound love and respect for the US Military. I have a deeper respect and gratitude for US Military Combat Veterans. Unfortunately, your stating "Don't ever let them take your guns" caught my attention and i realized that I didn't think that your comment was appropriate given the current cultural struggle we face trying to come to grips with the tragedy's of mass shootings.

Could you give us an idea of how much it costs to sponsor a video? More might be willing to donate if they found out it would be within their budget. Could it be a small as $100 or as much as $1,000?
@MichaelCerovski
@MichaelCerovski Год назад
I have sponsored 5 wonderful people who shared their lives for their country, and now their stories. The $500 was miniscule compared to the thousands who will reap the reward. Give, you will receive.

I mentioned I sponsored 5, but I didn't mention I am sponsoring 5 more and 5 more after that. What a way to honor them, helping share their stories, being part of history. Michael
