I'm from India and went on a 10 days solo trip across Japan recently and not once did I face any problem during my stay. Everyone's very respectful and more helpful than necessary. Even the young students I asked for help did not waste a single minute to flip out their phones and search train/bus routes and timings to the places I had difficulty figuring out on my own. The rich cultural attractions, natural beauty and the world famous cuisine was worth every penny I spent on the trip. I was going through some rough times in my own life and decided to go there as an escape. Best decision I ever made! Can't wait to go back gain.
Thank you so much for sharing your incredible experience! It's heartwarming to hear that your solo trip across Japan was so positive. Actually, I have been going through tough times too, but communicating with Indian people through these interviews helped me forget my stress. Communicating with people is always wonderful. Hope you will come to Japan again!
@@RealVoiceTokyofromTaku Thanks a lot for those words! No matter what you're facing with, it will pass and I wish you well and all the success in your path. I'd also like to welcome you to my country should you decide to visit anytime in the future.
Yes, Japanese animes are the best in the world. I grew up watching/reading lots of animes too! If I had unlimited free time, I would read/watch all the animes in Japan!
As per my observation Japanese people are less stereotypical or racist toward Indians or dark skinned people unlike south korea where its just a norm lol
I'm not sure about the situation in another country, but yes, Japanese people don't care so much about skin color. I regularly went to get tanned at a tanning salon when I was young. So did girls.
@@RealVoiceTokyofromTaku yea also i have met many japanese in online games and social media whenever i say i like their ancient culture and their entertainment industry they show more interest and asks about my culture and etc in short they are kind but the same i have noticed with chinese and korean people is that they simply dont care about others neither and manytimes when i said that korean cars are sold well in my country they just seem rude idk whats the reason
My cousin is obsessed with japan, he visits there every couple of months. Ive been there once, Japanese people are so hardworking, responsible and well behaved.
I'm glad your cousin likes Japan very much and you have been here in Japan. There are many unique things about Japan, good and bad, but I love Japan overall!😁😁
I'm Sri Lankan, and I was there for a 3 month internship and everyone was so nice! My Japanese wasn't good at the time and everyone was so so patient with me. I did get mistaken for an Indian once or twice haha. My company wants to hire me, so I will be back in March!
I am from India and Japan is like my second home. Ever since I was a kid, I was fascinated by Japanese culture and people, and always dreamt of visiting there and the dream did come true. Very Polite and helpful people, even when you don't speak Japanese, they will try their best to help you, no threat of scam and no garbage on streets, respect for nature, clean river. I loved your country so much. I will keep coming back.
Thank you for your warm comment! Yes, lots of the Indian people in the video have the same impression of Japan, and I'm so glad to hear them. Hope you will come back to Japan soon!😉
Are there Japanese, Chinese, and Koreans who ask about caste? I haven't seen such scenes, but maybe they are just curious because the system is very distant from East Asian societies. This is just my guess, though.🙄
@@RealVoiceTokyofromTakuit's not true, each country have, or had caste system in their society. Japanese also used to have class, even in this modern world, people are divided on the base of wealth.
@@RealVoiceTokyofromTakuthe untouchable of japan are called "Burakumin". Just how this four level caste system of japan is abolished, but in Japanese society they still face discrimination sometimes, same in India, caste system is abolished. But why India is only country known by caste system? If u want I can easily tell you caste system of other country, but what's the point, as Indian I can and should only talk about India. Becoz it's best to not talk about things you don't know about and have not seen in reality. That's from my side. Just a request try to tell these facts to such people who have this image of India. 😊
I haven't been to Japan. But as far as my knowledge goes about Japan, its people and their culture through various media, i have noticed that people are too nice. What i mean to say is that respect is not given to everybody or you don't have to be nice all the time even when you are having a bad day. You guys need to let loose a little bit & be honest in your behaviour. For example, if i go to any small restaurant in India, nobody will give a $hit or greet me for having food there. They will just give order and f*ck off. No smile, no greetings, Nothing. & I don't mind or wouldn't be offended by that behaviour because i know that their job is difficult and boring because they're doing same thing again and again for hours. As long as they serve me good food, i will be fine. So there's a mutual understanding. Now if we take the same example of Japan then i can clearly see waiters greetings each and every customer with smille and greeting even though he's having the difficult and boring day because he's doing the same thing for hours. Now apply the same thing in Japanese corporate structure. That would be even worse because those seniors and bosses expect you to behave certain way and they will judge you if you don't react or act certain way. That would be mentally exhausting for employees. This is just my guess, but the reason i think many people in japan are so socially awkward or introvert is because your society teaches you to behave certain way using the fear of being judged by others. Every ideology or mindset has its own good or bad effects. So I'm pretty sure that this kind of mindset also has its benefits. But you have to find balance.
I know what you are saying because I have backpacked in many countries including India. Japan treats good and bad guests, luxurious and frugal equally. As you know, equal treatment is not always fair. Personally, I think it is better mentally to treat expensive guests in a way that is appropriate for expensive guests and cheap guests in a way that is appropriate for cheap guests. In my experience, the cheaper the customer is, the more likely they are to be a complainer. Basically, many Japanese are accustomed and comfortable treating all customers equally. But at the same time it can be very tiring. So I think we should find an appropriate balance in our own way and create a culture where the people around us accept it.
Hmmm I don't know how you felt this but Indian Hospitality is pretty good. Like had you given any other example like there being scammers, being some what dirty or had bad instance, local cab etc I'd be 100% agree with you but hospitality for one is kinda big deal in India. Go to any hotel or restaurant you should be treated pretty good even this extends to shops and locals as well. There is literally a saying in India saying "Guests are like Gods". Ofcourse I'm not saying its better than Japan or xyz country but its isn't bad either. I'd always recommend to go to mid tier hotels and restaurants don't go for extreme cheap one's.
@@forkrust9296 That's why I said small restaurants if you read my comment carefully & You did not understood the point that I am trying to convey. I am not saying that employees at restaurants or anywhere should behave badly which might hurt someone's feeling. I am just saying that employees should stay true to themselves and customer should also try to understand or put themselves into their shoes & trying to understood their difficulties and pain. That way society won't end up being fake which behave in forced manner while thinking that what others might think while putting your own mental health at risk. Also I am well aware of Indian hospitality because I am Indian myself. But I was talking about small Indian restaurants where employees don't get paid enough & not Indian households or 5 star hotels.
@noice4594 Don't be too mean brother. Like I also said in my comment that every kind of mindset has its good or bad side & I just talked about only bad side here. You have to find balance & finding that balance is the difficult part which takes time & acknowledgement. For example People can also say that people from other countries apart from Japan are not desciplined or irrisponsible citizens who don't follow any rules that require for functional society. Right? I think people should live the life because it's worth living while people should also follow the rules to protect the humanity. That's only possible with wisdom, Sympathy, Love and many other good qualities while having control on your ego, selfishness, lack of sympathy, knowledge & many other bad qualities. I know that it is easier said than done. But that's the only way.
I really don't understand people who live in Japan for years without learning Japanese and then complain that life/getting job is difficult. Just learn the fking language! Also what's the point of living in an Indian equivalent of China Town if you're going to Japan? It also makes no sense to go and live in another country for years without trying out their food and culture.
I apologies about asking this question here, But can you please give me some advice, I am from India and I wish to pursue my Masters (either MBA or MS) but i am really confused, my heart wants to do it from Japan but at the same time i am not sure about the future prospects of job and the money (currency conversion) factor. Another option is to pursue my masters in Europe. I would appreciate it if you can give some advice.
Thank you for your asking. Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with Japan's current recruiting situation for international students. Because of the aging society, Japan will face a labor shortage not only in manual labor but also in high-end industries such as IT. So, Japan's future demand for foreign labor will definitely increase. But at the same time, Japan's economy may shrink with the aging society. That's all I can say. I'm sorry I can't give you a definite advice, but I hope this advice is of some help!
You now about MEXT scholarship right? Application for 2025 is gonna start in mid 2024, idk when tho. There is enough info about it online too.@@aayushirajsingh
I would have assumed that the guy who aspires to be an actor was either born in Japan or went to international school there, extremely impressive! Seems like a cool guy too
The guy trying to act is incredible honestly, sounds like he went international school he barely had any Indian in his accent and seems extremely versatile
Arigato for the video. I am working from India with Japanese client right now, sometimes its really difficult for me to explain them, usually I speak fast. We have a dedicated translator but sometimes I feel its good if I know Japanese or any of the client know English, because the translator find it difficult to explain technical aspects of the communication. I planned to see some movies, I saw one of the movie. I want to see more movies. Everyone says animation movies are very nice, need to start watchin one.
As I said in another of his video interview, this producer is EXCELLENT!! Please keep going doing these interviews of real people. After all, Japan and India are linked by Buddhism traditions for over 1,000 years!!
hi your videos are amazing , u really working hard , i have a suggestion while asking question look on the cam and while getting answer look on their faces (and u are smart person u get the idea what i want to say ). by the way good luck
Refering to japaneese lessons in the internet. I image there must be free japaneese lessons around the internet. Perhaps a young japaneese person should do that just badic words i am sure she could become very popular instead of doing common cideos. Here in Chile wue do have a great japaneese young man who is given lessons in the internet and his name is Tabo. Well he is famous in Chile and Japan among young people.
Yes, in this day and age, it is possible to learn a language at a high level on the Internet without going to that country, and there are lots of people doing that! RU-vid is full of clear and engaging lessons!😊😊
11:38 now I understand why Japan's birth rate is so low. The poor couple just want to be alone at night for a few hours with some loud music playing to "dance"
Thanks for your punchy comment. Your comment is painful to my ears as a Japanese!😅 I hope lots of Japanese will watch that part and read your comment, and learn something!
i always find it crazy that people will live in another country but barely speak the language! you are in another country, you should learn the language to integrate into society.
UAE is not greenary .yes ,atleast 1 person in my entire life spoke truth. i still wonder how they inhale oxygen, do they really inhale oxygen does their lungs work well all these doubts rises.
Why get concentrated in Nishi Kasai alone. It is better to assimilate with Japanese and live in difference places in Tokyo and Japan. To form a commumity within a community is not good overall. I have been to Nishi Kasai and have heard very loud kids playing kn parks till late which disturb the neighborhood. They have lots of complaints as well. Indians should respect local people and live in harmony to earn respect.
Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts! There is another town called Higashi-Ojima where many Indians live. I think they live well together with Japanese people in most cases, and I'm glad about that!😊😊😊
@@RealVoiceTokyofromTaku Yeah,an Indian freedom fighter was leading a division of Imperial Japanese army during WW2 against the British. Japan contributed for Indian Independence, another reason why India loves Japan.
India will never be like Japan in 1000 years. Indians ca never be as clean, polite and as considerate of others as the Japanese people are. However, we can at least visit their country and experience and maybe even feel bad for ourselves and wish we were like that in India. By the way, I understand many like the way we live in India too, but to me the Japanese way of life is far better.
Sorry dude, ur english here is messed up a little. Not bashing you, just find it hard to understand your comment, again sorry. (IK it's not good to pin point someone for their second language, but if I don't, someone will ) And why India need to be like any other country, everytime I open internet, there's always comment like India can't be like this country in respect of economy or that country in respect of cleanliness. We have our own identity, make role models not idols. From role models u try to pick their good character and with idols, u want to become them. So India can have other country as role models only. As for that clean thing, I agree 👍 but for that polite thing..... dude u need history class. Do try learning about Japan history wrt to america, China, korea particularly and even India. Japanese once fought a battle with Indians. They have a violent history but see today they are known as polite community. These r characteristics which human acquire not born with. So stamping Indians with "that we can't become like japan " is absurd statement. As for consideration, we are quite good. We, Indians are not able to distinguish as we live in this society, but from an outsider pov, Indians are quite considerate of other.
Go to Japan then and stop living on govt subsides , you are nothing but A burden on our nation. Remember India is one the the earliest culture and it has it's effect on others as well buddhism and Hinduism has sent it's teaching to Japan as well, yoga meditation and other things came from India. And saying that the current 5th largest economy can never be developed or clean is just dumb. Not to be rude towards Japanese culture but my friends live there ans they always want to come back to India just bcz of how indirect Japanese people are and how self centered they are. Japanese way of Living has now become working 24/7 and nothing else, this is also the reason why birth rate is so slow cz A normal guy is so stressed, they can't keep up with work and family . So they like to be alone. Japan is one of the best place to visit but Living there isn't anywhere like anime 😂 also I don't hate Japan just spittin fax you can check my pfp out as well.
@@Billdean25 what?🙃 How can u be polite and do atrocities to other country and rape their women. And what's this genetics thing u talking about? From when genetics start deciding your politeness.
We Japanese are used to those rules coz we grew up here, but I understand how stressful those written or unwritten rules are to non-Japanese people in Japan!
And they are not excessive. Indians love to scream and shout wherever they go. There is nothing acceptable about that. There is a reason those rules are in place
Yes, there's are many school in abroad with cbse curriculum, and if not wrong managed by Indian embassy. I studied in kv and they used to boast about this fact😅😅
I've always wondered how Indian folks see foreigners in terms of the Caste system. For example, historically, native Americans have had ZERO contact with the Indians I guess. In such a case, are they considered totally neutral castewise? Or they get placed in some special caste? (consciously or unconsciously)
Indians don't use caste in day to day life unlike vicious advertisement by it's enemies to defame India. It's mainly used for the arranged marriages, where traditionally people prefer match from same caste. Here people will ask your name and place; that's sufficient for them.
Anyone not Indian were historically Mlechha which is casteless similar to untouchables. This is how Greek, Parthians etc etc got treated when they weren’t in positions of power. The British and Europeans were also considered impure in the 1500s and 1600s, although it all changed when they gain power😂. Infact Hindus haven’t ruled India for more than a 1000 years now
@@rohitbani2615 what are you talking about? I’m answering a comment about where foreigners are placed on the varna system. Sure in southern India we don’t have varna system other than Brahmins but in theory we follow the same caste system
I think when when ever someone is taking interview , first of all the person taking interview should show the involvment by lookings at eyes or towards the persons face while holding mic, it shows ur involvment and respect towards their answers-quetioned by u
The most I love about Japan is the People's love for their culture and tradition, the discipline they keep in all aspects of life and the way people behave to everyone...sheer respect...love Japan❤ from India. (Recently I Ve heard some stories of alleged racism from Japanese people to Indians, but its totally unbelievable for me although I Ve never been to Japan)
Thank you for your comment. I'm flattered as a Japanese!🤣 Personally, I haven't heard of such racism in current Japan, either from Japanese or non-Japanese. But it's sad if there is such a case...
India is poor country. But better than other poor countries and some Richer countries. They are good as engineer, doctor, dancer and movies. They can make their country proud.
Yes, I agree. India has a rich culture and many talented people. I really enjoyed traveling in the country. 😄 I'm glad their population has got the world No.1 as well!
India is not an poor country but a developing country... ours is the 5th biggest economy in the world and is advanced in the entire sector.... yes a certain population is poor because we have 1.2 billion people... we are also a country of top richest cities in the world and also tons of world's millionaires and billionaires and other middle class people... we have continuous community clashes throughout year with all west nations interfering in our country matters and illegal immigrations hindering our status of developed nation. We have neighbouring countries like terro*st pakistan and cunning China who constantly create problems for us at international platforms. No one can handle a democracy of 1.2 billion. 1000 plus languages and each state having different culture... Still some how we are united.. also india was colonized by 200 years by British and before that by Mughal and Portuguese invaders... Still after so much theft from India, we have emerged as a developing nation. Our country provides financial help to many countries.. so correct the term poor to developing nation.
