I am northeast indian and i face racism in my own country because of my different appearance so no wonder they are facing racism in different country🤷🏼
i understand your frustation and i'll tell you one thing not every body discriminates, and also despite facing racism you chose to use 'northeast indian' makes me appreciate your maturity.its the fault of education system that has failed to integrate NE culture in curriculum
both are wrong .... that doesn't make racism in india justifiable to do racism in japan both .....are wrong . need to fight racism not justify it . don't justify shit
One of the best compliments I have received so far. 🤣 The selection of the interviewees was.... I have to say that I was really lucky to encounter such great people on the spot!✨
The boy with the hat is BRILLIANT!! He will go far in life!! He has global skills. Yet he is very humble. Excellent program … please keep up with more interviews!!
@@VishwajeetSinghRana he knows better than you do and its obvious from the interview. if needed he will learn details too. Indians learn 99% useless details just to get marks in the exam and boast among relatives and neighbours.
@@VishwajeetSinghRana He did not say Maharashtra is in Mumbai. He said his parents are from Maharashtra, near Mumbai. His Parents lived near Mumbai. The phrasing was quite tricky. Its like saying I live in West Bengal, near Kolkata, but you don't mean West Bengal is in Kolkata
The video is very insightful. But I also find it amusing seeing Indian Maharashtrian People proudly proclaiming their roots and encouraging other Maharashtrians to prosper in other countries. However they are so xenophobic and intolerant to domestic migration with in Maharashtra, India.
As a Marathi girl, raised in Singapore , I can relate to this completely . My father works in a Japanese company and has spent alot of time in Japan and he has also mentioned the things the boys in the video have mentioned.
Thanks for your comment. It seems like your family members have been exposed to various cultures outside India. I was raised only in Japan, so I wish I had been able to live in a foreign country. (There would be many cultural challenges though.) 😅😅😅
Skilled Indians are going to rule the world in the next decade. They are super skilled, focussed, and bring their wonderful culture and tradition with them wherever they go. They are one of the finest people I have worked with. Hard working, highly educate, and open minded. Japan can benefit a lot from bringing more Indians to Japan as they are culturally very close.
@@costilla1212 yeah we Indians are so social … i have 10 k friends 😂 which i see in month … Where i live i know everybody by their name 😊 Indians like to chit chat alot
It's my pleasure! Thanks for your interesting comment. I'm curious whether your husband's personality is more like Indian or Japanese. It's always rewarding for me to hear that viewers enjoy my videos! 😂😂😂
@@RealVoiceTokyofromTaku Thank you so much for your response. My husband is more Japanese than Indian, I would say. I often joke with him and call him “pseudo Indian” 😂 because his first language is Japanese and so is his way of thinking and demeanor. I think the one thing that’s very Indian about him is his love for Indian food. 😄
"pseudo Indian" is such a nice expression!🤣 He must be a very interesting person. I can tell you make an adorable couple! Keep up the happy married life!😍
i enjoyed this video as well. i'm not indian but i'm brown and moving to tokyo this april so i enjoyed your 3 videos on what it's like being an indian in nishi-kasai
Thank you for your comment and welcome to Japan from April! If you are interested in being on the RU-vid video like this, pls message me so I will interview you!!😁😁😁
Racism involves the belief in the superiority or inferiority of a particular race, leading to discrimination and prejudice based on race. While suggesting that all Americans eat hamburgers or Indians eat curry daily is not explicitly racist, but it does contribute to certain cultural stereotypes. In several Asian countries, locals may hesitate to engage with foreigners not out of racism but due to concerns about their language proficiency. They fear being misunderstood or ridiculed, rather than holding prejudiced attitudes.
It’s actually difficult to learn Japanese from anime coz the subtitles don’t match but I did learn Korean pretty quickly like in one year of watching content.
Once we learn the basics of the target languages, I personally think it could be an effective way! I know there are many interesting TV series in Korea too!😄😄😄
It is because , mostly Indians living abroad or not converse using their mother tongue which would be one of the regional languages of India, that is why the accent!
I travel to Japan at least once a year and most Japanese people are friendly. They like us if we are visiting, much different if you live there. They are not racist just biased and fear based actions. The biggest thing that makes me sad is when I am not allowed inside a restaurant or they sell me maguro and I ordered toro. Poor cuts of fish. One must learn a little Japanese.
True You won't get killed for your race in Japan at least. There are some countries still so regressive, you can get killed bc of your race or become a victim of hate crime just for looking different
Very interesting for the guy in the hat who grew up in Japan he has a very similar accent to Singaporeans although he does not speak Singlish. Nice interview!
Actually, Japanese people generally have a kind of complex and longing for chiseled faces because they have generally flat, thin faces. So, chiseled faces are generally favored in Japan for sure! 😉😉😉
"Do you eat curry everyday" is not a racist question, dude. The question is just validating if you as an Indian outside of India still stick to the Indian traditional food, instead of deviating to it having lived outside of India.
I think its the same. When foreigners raised in India, it still seen as foreigners. I saw Japanese (who speak marathi and hindi fluently) vlogs in India and local people made fun of his appearance and called him Chinese. So I don't know why the comments talk about racism when in India itself racism is exist, including discrimination between lighter skin and darker skin. Racism exist in everywhere anyway
Didn’t the guy in the video also say the same thing it’s there everywhere and it’s actually okay not a big problem,it’s just that the Europeans and Americans had taken it to next level and that became a set example of racism but just calling a guy black or brown is actually not an issue.
Racism is also part perception. Anyone who lives in a foreign country must learn to integrate and respect the lifestyle of the new country. Do not expect to be treated how you would be treated in your former home, learn to assimilate.
you shouldnt have cut down the part where he was explaining work culture differences between us and japan. It was very strategic cut as i am very sure he must have spoken about work timings difference and toxic work culture in japan where it is not encouraged to take your rightfull holidays.
Thanks for noticing it. I didn't cut that scene. Actually, I forgot to ask that question, I forgot to dig deeper into that part. That's a shame. That's my regret! 😫 But anyway, thanks for noticing it!😅
Interesting the man wearing the white cap sounds like he's from Toronto. He has a Torontonian accent, strongly influenced by the Caribbean. I initially thought he might be from Trinidad or Guyana.
Most of the interviews with foreigners in Japan on RU-vid are with white people. It's refreshing to see one with Indian people. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Pakistanis loves Bharat. It's the country the originated from. It's the politicians that make desis hate each other. Outside of Bharat, desis get along really well. Sab ka malik ek
I haven't thought about that! That's interesting. I think almost nobody can be free from the accent coming from their mother tongue when they speak another language. 😆😆😆
Hi, Nice Interview. Both of them spoke well. Could you please mention which school they studied in? If you can’t reveal, please provide some hints. It’s very challenging task for us to find a appropriate school to our kids. Thank you.
Thanks for asking, but I didn't ask which school they went to, except for the university. There are three Indian international schools in Nishi-Kasai, Edogawa-ward, Tokyo. They all support CBSE, so they all seem good schools!😄😄
@@0doublezero0 Love to have a battle of wits with you but clearly you are unarmed. Did you see dead Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese people in India. In Indonesia, Malaysia and Phillippines, Indians have gone missing and the police have remained silent. Sit down.
Say If I want to make Japanese friends is there any online space where they usually spend their time. For us, we use Discord to interact with people who share similar interests.
I haven't used this myself, but I 've heard that "HelloTalk" (language exchange application) is relatively popular with Japanese people who are learning languages including English. Also I've heard that some Japanese get to know other countries people on online games.😎😎😎 Other than that, maybe social media such as Instagram...?
I an indian, but i really dont like people calling the host countries racist. I think japanese are calm and not like to interact much with anybody. Having stereotypes is not racist. People who move to different countries should also know how to assimilate into theirs. If somebody doesn't like you, move away. Few days ago i saw a black man making videos in japan calling hiroshima and Nagasaki. Its really foolish and disgusting. Dont be in a hurry to call someone racist , look at oir own behaviour first.
English is taught in schools since their childhood, also spoken everywhere for commercial, administrative and other purposes, so it's not uncommon to find Indians speaking English of varying degrees of fluency
this guy probably went to international school here. in fact there is one near nishikasai even. I live here and i use to see indian kids interacting with shop clerk using japanese for their parents whom doesn't speak japanese well
Racist folks are as ominous as the experience, but not reflective of a society. Exceptional cases are as possible as a slip n fall, road accident or other such perils of this thing called life. Contextually, blanket assumptions by SM users living in echo chambers, is a worse outcome. Kind regards to you, yes you reading this, and yours. :) Gambatte ne Taku san.
Why give 10s of mantra? Everyone confuses others by talking of their Ishta bhagwan will solve all problems. Who is your family god or worshipped the most in your family tree? Worship with your deepest faith.
But japaneese are not really white they are asiatic people like philipine, corean etc so probably they are a little bit segnophobic . This two young men from india are probably experiencing segnophobia tiecing
I think the Japanese people should also introspect that they learn English in school for so many years but the level of English is still quite bad. The teaching methods need to be changed completely.
Racism is an over used word. Real racism was what the American negros, and colored people experienced at the hands of colonial rulers. Yes many in USA cannot pronounce my name some don’t try but others do try and get it wrong. Initially I used to feel bad. But now I don’t mind and I don’t put any extra effort in pronouncing their names correctly eother😅.
Okinawa people dont think themselves as a Japanese because they don't really like the Japanese. They actually have their own language and culture but were suppressed by the Japanese a long time ago. But it's quite true that Japanese people are quite racist. It's nice when you go for holidays but it's a different experience when you live and work there.
Nah, stop believing in youtubers. Okinawans don't think of themselves as Japanese, they share similarities in culture, food, language and religion with mainland Japan, but that's it. Racist Japanese are far less racist towards white people. They are far more racist towards south Asians ( Pakistan, Bangladesh, India ), South east Asians, Chinese and Koreans ( there are restaurants in Japan that have boards saying Chinese and Koreans aren't allowed ). But overall racism in Japan is pretty tame. They don't resort to physical violence like they do in western countries. Just avoid Yakuza and you are all good
The guy with white cap will not like living in India. India streets are not clean, a lot of crime, and not technology advanced. It will be a culture shock for the guy! He will be like, this place is not safe and I’m out of here. A week there, I’m not coming back! 😂😂
dude what do you expect from homogeneous nation. but at least you will never be in danger unlike some other countries where the asians get beaten just beacause they look asian.
If the current govt continues in India. All the talented Indians will get out of India. It will be very much beneficial to all other countries except India.
Bharatiya longh to cringe karte hain ekh Bharatiya bhasa me baat karne me, lekhin voh longh aur desh jowe toh oohlongh edum fluently voh desh ke bhasa me baat kar sakte, tabh cringe nahin hote hain unko liye….
4:19 😂 after asking to speak in Japanese: "Personally, I think... 📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃📃" I don't know if you put the subtitles together like that intentionally, but that was pretty funny to me! haha
