The fact that voids eyes are sewn shut, his mouth doesn’t move, and his ears are nonexistent reminds me of the see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil saying. Maybe what void really wanted was to be oblivious to the evils that caused his suffering
I think Void being on the thumb of the Godhand ties in with his very place thereof.. Much like how the thumb is what seperates human anatomy from that of animals and allows us limitless creative potential, Void is like that step above for the Godhand that connects to the higher abilities/knowledge
Always thought what separates us from the rest of life's creatures was our ability to question our own existence instead if just going with the flow instinctively
The idea that gaiseric cut the top of void's skull off is unlikely. I think when he became a god head member, he asked The Idea of Evil to make him a Big Brain, like Fembo asked for wings.
He was a sage obsessed and devoted his life to knowledge and we he used that knowledge against the kingdom he was tricked and imprisoned by the king in this moment he for the first time felt stupid triggering the crimson behlit
Also Void is on the thumb of the hand pillar at the eclipse, like an analogy , how the thumb is what makes the humans/ humanoid grow above animals by with it we can use tools and white intelligence. Also, the toy statues show how Void's spine is connected directly to the base, which is the texture of the whole eclipse scene, fill with faces of lost souls.
@@Omar-rr4kn dont think so, I think he loved her but like a friendzoned dude, he knew she loved SK, she must have been dear to void too as she has the brand of sacrifice near her heart. Probably just sacrifice without griffhting her.
Void is the THUMB of god. Slan the MIDDLE FINGER. It all has sense. Miura chose to associate explicitly every Godhand to a particular finger. Most images made by people of the eclipse get the finger associated to every Godhand wrong, so people seem to not have paid attention to this "detail".Femto is the INDEX, and the one that gets to realize his dream in the real world and act as the literal pointer/flagship of the idea of evil in the physical world and gets reincarnated with a body with more powers than the common of mortals. Also, I believe he being the THUMB makes him special, maybe he was the first ever Godhand created or even not made from a human at all, even the name VOID and his apparent lack of personality is telling of something I can't completely get. But the THUMB is a *special* finger it's opposable to the others! And what makes us able to do all we can do. I bet Godhands do not know they simply get erased after every end of the grand cycle, only void knows. They think they will live forever, but it's a lie, the idea of evil does tell that to Griffith, I think. Yep, Void is truly one of a kind. I really hope somehow this story can get a proper ending. I mean, I don't want to say the people working and making Berzerk, now do a bad job, but I can see a lot less clear drawings already, with confusing backgrounds that show no detail, or characters that seem less detailed and more moire effects than ever to do shading... We will miss Kentaro Miura a lot. I know I will. HE was a master of drawing shades of black/grey, INCREDIBLY detailed and complex scenes that still were very clear to understand, even scenes with complex things not explained, but showed all at once, plus the background and the logic of it all and at storytelling.
@@nogass5381Yes, I do think this drawing is very important and that it was a thing that was planned by Miura. that indicates something along the line. Either god hands are all replaced but him, or they change over time, but no, they get replaced, they all "die" and fall into the abyss and get replaced. But not the only opposable god finger. We all know he's special.
I noticed that ! Is very interesting that Void is thumb and Femto is index and Slan is the middle figure. And Ubik is Ring figure and Concord is small Finger.
So he was the sage who was tortured, at least we're 90% certain so far, right? Doesn't the godhand take a form of what they were before they became one? Kinda like Griffiths torture helmet is a part of his femto look. So, was Void's eyes sewn shut, skin peeled and brain exposed during this endless torture? That's what I wonder.
Void is the embodiment of the idea of evil. It’s why void doesn’t have a physical rebirth, because he is the idea of evil’s rebirth. It also explains his six fingers, he’s the first finger of the god hand as well as the “sixth” that being the idea of evils embodiment. “Idea of evil” It’s why he has an exposed brain.
I agree. I think the fact that he has six fingers and the reference of them being called the God hand all ties together somehow. I have many theories however I'm sure it's all related. Too bad the original writer isn't around too follow through with this anymore 🙏🏽
I just hope they never reveal the details of what kind of tortures Void was subject to when he was human. Better to just leave it up to our imagination, gotta be some real fucked up shit.
You see it though....They decapped him to humiliate him, they removed his eyes, basically removing anything that makes one a true human and into the form of nothingness
Lol they say what happened kinda he kept speaking out against king gastric to everybody in the kingdom got tortured for who knows how long then summoned the godhand at the very lowest point of it all. He clearly was flayed and anything else you can think of he'll they castrated griffth
The original angels of the GodHand, but that leaves more questions than answers.. what destroyed those angels? I’d assume Skull Knight, but SK couldn’t defeat Void- which I assume is the reason why they’re both so well acquainted with each other. I have a feeling Zod was Voids protector too, which was another reason why SK couldn’t defeat Void.
@@MidTierVillainbro what if skull knight and void (post transformation) teamed up and defeated the early god hand but void betrayed him after it was all said and done
I like to believe that like Griffith void was the 5th godhand member Skull knight ended up killing all but void and we are back where we are with 5 again
@@Sloppytoppy380 oh that’s a good one! We all assumed SK was the King that had Void tortured, and Void sacrificed his entire following.. but,, that would be a crazy twist
I don’t believe Void is the first gods hand member I think every 1000 year a new member joins and somehow one must leave It’s was shown when Void join the god’s hand he wasn’t their leader Also after certain time the new member aka void became the oldest and maybe their leader now Also after 1000 year Void will leave or die if death for the gods hand even possible In Berserk world I think they live in some kind of loop or the world keeps restarting Like the events recreate themselves with slight changes Griffith is Void Skull knights is Guts to prove that , the skull knight has grudge towards the Gods hand The skull knights aka also the king His time is also the when Void joined The skull knights his lover or friend the past queen of the elfs is also marked But in this timeline the skull knight is trying to change something he couldn’t
lol, its funny how schizos interact with the manga, like all of a sudden they feel they have discovered something deep but its a suppressed memory from previously read manga chapters.
voids eyes sewn shut and his lips peeled back with hooks SCREAMS torture. Griffith and void were both tortured and physically devastated. while SK and guts are both unrelenting warrior, perfect mirrors.
Why do you say in the video "the first crimson behelit, the first eclipse and the first godhand" when referring to the eclipse ceremony of Void? There are clearly 4 previous Godhand members shown which were probably not from human origin but nonetheless must have their own eclipses and their own crimson behelit
@fragglewok thats not true either. If you go way back to the arc when slaan fights guts b4 that when the trolls attack that village and schricke had everybody pray and it worked that was the 4 elemental deity and even then we don't see them so who knows but I know they weren't praying to the godhand that makes no sense why would they pray to dark angels for help against the darkness they ARE the darkness
@@mcbdllc2848 The elemental deities are different from the godhand. it doesn't mean they are in league with the godhand if they ascended void, they are just forces of nature as far as we know.. What I think is that Void/IOE is the fifth elemental deity, because there are 5 classical elements, they are; earth, water, fire, air and aether/void. I dont think its a coincidence that void literally shares his name with one of the 5 classical elements and has spacial powers as well. And it could be that those elementals assisted with voids ascension much like how a godhand is made and void is mocking that with his own ceremonies. Void was also a great sage so I believe he had some esoteric knowledge which allowed him to ascend. that is just an idea i had though since i cant fully appoint elements to the "proto-godhand" designs.
What happened to Void incarnated body? It's not my thing to believe he got that power instead of an actual incarnation, SK wouldn't say that's like the same incarnation ceremony that happened 1k years ago if Void's wouldn't got a body then. I also don't like both the eclipse and the ceremony being dual, I believe there were separate events, and that's why people don't agree on the destruction of the kingdom, because the kingdom might have been destroyed two times.
Nah every 1008 years a godhand has a chance of coming back to the physical realm but that privilege went to femto as he is the vanguard for the godhand. Why would the others want to return to the physical realm they don't care about that. They think themselves above humans why would they go back
I guess that all the sacrifices in the tower of rebirth make sense in this context. If void truly cared for all the people affected by war, and preached against the sins of the king, then what would prove a more meaningful sacrifice in his moment of despair than the very souls he had been preaching for?
I’m interested in getting into this series. I was wondering if anyone knows why certain chapters were deleted from the manga? While researching how many books were available for purchase, this was mentioned. Since I’m completely new to it, would anyone who has been reading the series for a long time know?
Chapter 83 is the one I know forsure that was redacted cause the writer thought he was giving away too much plot too early. Other than that I'm not sure there's any others missing.
I just want to know...who were each of the other 4 BEFORE they became the God Hand" What caused each of their "Fall" to activate the requirements? The ultimate prequel story...
i believe that void created the whole process of sacrifice. The behelit did not exist before his ascension, once he became the first god hand he had control over how the rest would be brought to him following causality. Enduring the torture put upon him, he honed his astral form to the level of being able to convene the 4 elemental kings (following the theory in the video that the 4 beings with void in SK flashback are these kings) or he was able to find the idea of evil directly and propose to him a grandiose idea. It could also be that void is the incarnation of the idea of evil which is why he isnt a part of the human world but is confined to the astral world as well as having more knowledge than the rest of the godhand over causality especially.
Skull Knight and void switched their roles between Griffith and guts... void sacrificed faith for power....skull Knight gained faith with the loss of power
Wonder if though obvious overlooked is the fact the interpretation of the realm looks different to the current version, the current has those human faces pressing to escape flesh yet in the previous you have the tentacles and the actual vortex right behind.
I'm sure Void did a ritual or was guided to do one. Remember what the witches did, by calling on the four kings. I believe he did something similar, but I believe he got the attention of the IOE who invoked them or "pointed them in the direction of Void". You don't see them because they are "reborn or born as humans now." Think.... their are four of them with Void, why do their have to be four of them with Void? I think his "'prayer.... ahem ritual" gave those beings some sort of "form or a way to exist on earth" and so their soul tie human gets the crimson egg. This is what is making this ugly cycle.
Bro thats what im saying what if skull knight and void used to be like guts and Griffinth but void sacrificed his other friends because like when skull knight saved casca and guts he looked at void so hard so maybe the ending of berserker will not be guts vs femto it might be skull knight vs void
A question that needs to be answered is what happened to the last 5th member of the god hand. were they destroyed? how can an eternal being need replacing.
I dont think the people in charge now will ever explain that; people are saying that the detail of the drawing is nowadays inferior and obviously the quality of the writing will be the same, as if the others had the same level of understanding of concepts more than the original author.
Up Until 4:48 this channel repeatally stating Void was a Human. Like we know, and we know. This channel keeps bringing one point back to back and it is exhausting and not even explaining the title
Do you see how big brain he is? His skull couldn't contain it lol. His head and collar are like a satellite dish able to gather information and see the flow of causality.
the only thing wrong about this video is you stating that void's eclipse was the first, suggesting there were none before him (where 4 other godhand members are clearly shown alongside him). we dont and probably never will have an idea of when the godhand or even crimson behelits first came to fruition, theyve been affecting the world of berserk potentially far longer than we can confirm.
@@SpiritStoneWarrior94-yx3gsuntil proven otherwise, it’s safe to assume they were the previous godhand and Void was the last member of that generation.
@@Slhazzardnah even in the tale of king gaiseric the sage that was tortured pretty much void called out to god everyday until god sent down four angels who were most likely the four spirits turned void really thru the idea of evil made him the first god hand and u can say kentaro took it out because it revealed to much to early but nothing has ever contradicted it are changed
Actually it's already implied that the Godhand are human in the eclipse, when the apostles proclaim that the eclipse happens every 216 years. That means that it has been happening for a long time, for the apostles to know it is a pattern. Also both times that the Slug Count summoned the Godhand weren't any kind of eclipse, so we know that apostles do not require an eclipse to transform. Then finally when the Godhand explains the crimson behelit, they say that only the possessor of it can become a demon like they. That means that there must have been multiple transformations and multiple crimson behellits. So we knew in the eclipse chapters that this was true. Also to claim that it was the first eclipse and the first godhand is bold and probably not true. All the other members of void's godhand probably came after him. So the ones that are present at his ascension are probably pre-existing god hands or greater demons or whatever. The framing also implies that Void is the newest, and not the first godhand in the armour vision of Skull Knight. So there is no reason to suggest that void was the first ever. Also the story of the tower of conviction says that four angels came to save him, I.e. four godhand members. So how could Void be first if four rpevious angels came to help him ascend.
I think the eclipses are strictly connected to Godhand ascensions; since they're millions of times more powerful than the average apostle, they probably need the additional energy present at the temporal junction points in addition to many more sacrifices in order to transform. Regarding the ordering of the GH members, it's definitely hard to tell. There is also the theory that the other 4 beings in SK's flashback are the 4 elemental kings. What if the Idea of Evil came to Void in a vision (like how Griffith saw the GH members in that funky dimension) promising him power and a godly reincarnation if he submitted to its will. The Idea of Evil names its price as the kingdom of Midland and its citizens, and Void accepts. At the same time, the 4 elemental kings descend upon Midland in a manifested form creating a temporal junction point exposing the Abyss to the physical world, allowing the Idea of Evil itself to administer the brands of sacrifice. The elemental kings destroy the entire kingdom, inadvertently fueling Void's ascension. He stands alone amidst the rubble, with the crimson behelit at his feet as he picks it up and returns to the astral plane as the temporal junction fades away, starting the cycle leading to today's GH.
@@jordanreavis8163 I don't think your last idea is true. Although it is a great idea and has lots of creative intelligence in it. I'm not sure you're wrong I just disagree with your interpretation. I think the four elemental kings are the four elemental kings who are connected to magic as Shierke explains. She manifested some of them at the village church during the troll attack. I think they are more ephemeral and handle natural laws while not participating or directing human affairs. I think that's what the idea of evil was born of: the human need to have purpose in life. I think the legend of Gaiseric's fall has confused the four Godhand with the elemental kings. In fact, the Holy See religion has created the idea of four archangels that are in fact the elemental kings. Their belief is confused but ultimately true. I think the framing of SK's vision is quite an obvious parallel to Guts' eclipse: Void has ascended to become one of the Godhand. I think the four other beings by his side are obviously coded as other Godhand. Now there may be cycles where the Godhand are subsumed back into the abyss by the idea of evil and that's why you need new eclipses and new Godhand members. I prefer the idea that SK has been killing them one by one. Why else seek the beherit sword? Why strike at Femto and Void if they are impervious to harm? He even seeks out their "true" form and not just attacking their incarnate selves, because their true form must be vulnerable somehow! How would he know? Well if he previously killed some of them! I don't think the GH being subsumed back into the Abyss goes together well with the promise of eternal life that the GH promises when Griffith ascends: "You will have life everlasting". One thousand years and change is not everlasting in my book! I think you'd basically have to seek them out during eclipses or other events when their true form is present.
I think that his eyes are still shut for him not to be distracted, and his brain is so big, because he is a greater thinker, maybe he himself manipulate the millions of humans to create the "causalities", for that, you would need a big brain, also, all the lines that stretch his mouth skin looks like that come from his own brain.
I also think that the reason why Void is “stretched out” (his obvious very long arms and torso) i think one of the devices used to torture him was the stretching technique .
Would be awesome if y’all could avoid repeating basic world concepts in every single video and just focus on specifically what you put in the title 😅 I’m 15 minutes on and haven’t got any relevant answers yet… just some feedback hopefully constructive :)
Imagine if guts activates his for whatever reason I bet the mad beast of darkness would be paracausal enough And even if guys’d true wish was the strength to slay all evil/enemies/Griffith it would not be beyond the idea of evil’s intent. Infighting could be useful for increasing evil or keeping only the strongest disciples etc The motivations of a deity even when not a true god are beyond basic humans ideas
I think king gsyric or something in his kingdom now under falconia has something that either can split the astral realm bc the idea of evil came abt from gysrics kingdom and all the sin that was made there and the ppls want for there city to be saved and than the idea of evil sent the Behelt to void to do just that and now the same with midland but it’s different this time bc of the ppl being guts and Griffith my reason is the behelt and all them didn’t exist bc there was the elementals and now it’s much more human the godhand represent gsyrics kingdom the sins but before the godhand represents the earth and the beings before humans
Why would they do that void is the de facto leader and the most powerful of them since ehe sacrificed a whole entire kingdom vs femto who sacrificed maybe 50-100 ppl at best
They are literally brothers now void said "we are your brothers and you are our new kins man" doesn't sound like "clash" anytime soon and there not human they don't care about stuff like that
@@mcbdllc2848 If Griffith sees Void or the other Godhand as an obstacle to...whatever he has planned then yes there will be a clash. Maybe Griffith wants to be _above_ Void?
Not watching the video but it's a symbolic representation of his emphasis on reason and rationality as your guiding star throughout life, which is what Berserk criticizes because reason is self-serving and will always give into weakness and evil if not supported by strength of character.
tbh i just think they retain physical properties of the state they were in when they ascended, like how the helmet chained to Griffith's head became a permanent feature in his Godhand form. Assuming you believe Gaiseric's sage is Void, we know he got the shit tortured out of him so that definitely could have just been the state his body was in.
rofl. these videos are hilarious. It's actually like what would happen if the Looney Tunes universe merged with Berserk universe or any other universe. Imagine the big Chungus in the Berserk universe 🤣.
