Follow the story of 65 million years of evolution around a volcanic hotspot in the Indian Ocean. These catastrophic events have shaped life as we know it, from the smallest microbes to the largest beasts to ever live, the dinosaurs.
I was really pleased about that too. This is a French made film. The Alvarezs don't have the same power to ruin a person's career in France that they have had in the US...for the HUGE sin of saying that something other than "their" asteroid killed off dinosaurs. Such petty nasty behaviour on their part. Besides I love me a nice flood basalt/LIP! I wish I could find a documentary that talked about the Siberian Traps - that is as opposed to the Permian extinction. Even just finding film of the area is tricky. If I look for photos, I generally see the same 3 or 4. Not enough Internet! Do better!!!
AMAZING! I was not expecting anytthing outstanding just wanted something nice to put in bed to fall asleep to, but WOWee:) And the soothing voice and perfectly narrated story telling is just beautiful.
Where the asteroid hit didnt help with poisoning the atmosphere yucatan peninsula is full of sulphur minerals (gypsum etc) I think it's both places that put everything nasty in the atmosphere
Is it true that in one season, I think at the end of August, they will let some who are not subscribers watch documentaries by Nigel and others. Is Wild Arabia included?
@@magellantv this is the same type of person that will hear that a house was painted blue, and then someone else says no it was painted red, and they will argue and say that it was blue with absolutely no evidence other than the fact that somebody else told them a different colour first. It's a strange psychological phenomenon, but I see it all the time.
