Volcano Starts are CURSED - Civ 6 Greece Diplomatic game 

Just some constructive criticism: I feel that this civ stuff is starting to interfere with our rabbit updates.

You can never see the Potala Palace, because the Venetian Arsenal is right beside it. Its splendor is too great.

The rabbit made this video 100% better. (Not that it was bad by any stretch of the imagination, the rabbit is just diversity of the entertainment)

You should try the real great people mod. Not only does it add fancy graphics to the great people screen but it also improves the UI. You can see at a glance not only how many great people points everyone has like normal, but it also shows how many points everyone is earning per turn and how long it will take to earn the next great person at the current rate. It also lists everyone in order of who will get the next great person, which is super useful! Lastly it shifts the great prophet to the last column instead of sitting in the middle, which just makes the UI look cleaner once all prophets are earned.

So no one else noticed that Potato planned for the diplomatic quarter from the start to go next to the city, and then he forgot about it and remembered it to be a government plaza instead?

Just starting to watch....but I think that forest he needs for the wonder is getting obliterated by the volcano.

If you get the gold to support it, plenty benefits from aid requests in the future.

Most of the time you can ask other civs what they give you for your open borders and just add in their open borders for free afterwards. This does not save that much gold but some clicks :)

Sacred places would have been an INSANELY efficient belief to pick this game. You're planning on building a wonder in almost each of your cities, and that gives you SO many yields... its like tithe, but 1 less gold for 2 science, culture, and faith. This allows you to get more faith for monumentality and still gold for other purchases, and it's really diverse which helps a lot in diplo games. Also, this would have been an amazing game for dramatic ages. I love playing that with apocalypse mode because they both encourage you to have a larger standing military, plus look at all those policy slots! Imagine hitting a golden age and getting 2 wildcard slots there! You can have monumentality and still have another slot, like +3 gold per trade route, or +10 health regen on all your units which could probably win you a war vs Egypt. I look forward to the rest of this game though; love you potato.

Since I noticed you not being able to find wonders in the pins menu I think you might not have noticed. *The wonders are listed chronologically* If you're for example looking for the Potala Palace like in this game, it might help you to look for more important wonders that come in the same era (in this case the venetian arsenal). Then start looking for the palace in wonders listed close to it.

Can't Acropolis be build only on hills? Not sure, but I think you pinned some Acropolis in places there are not hills.. Couldn't tell if the Acropolis near the Statue of Liberty is on a hill, for example.. If I'm wrong, forgive me, don't ban me please!

Actually the AI doesn't care about Statue Of Liberty, you don't need a plan to get it. In general AI doesn't try the diplo win and for me its the easiest condition win in Deity.

I Wish diplomatic was more interesting, i have won by default when trying to go for culture and science victories a diplomatic victory. As long as you play pacifist, save your diplo points for when 2 points is voted in your favor and build diplo point things like statue of liberty at the right time it make you win every time

I honestly find the biggest annoyance with Apocalypse mode is how many disaster popups you get. It really takes me out of the game when every other turn starts with an eruption or something.

Why do you get worried about your friends going to war with you? In my experience, once they become my friend once, I can ALWAYS renew the friendship immediately, and they will accept it (the only exception is when it's endgame and I am about to win; then they sometimes refuse). You don't need to worry about Egypt as long as you remember to renew the friendship when it expires.

Why aren't you settling the Volcano campus

Well, you turned on Monopolies and Corporations mode but didn’t disable Culture Victory, so there’s no way you’re actually going to win a Diplomatic Victory this game, lol. It’s already the slowest victory type, such that you can accidentally win a Cultural Victory first even under normal circumstances if you build any theater squares and even just one national park (and you do want to do that, for culture, boosts and era score). With Heroes and Monopolies? I seriously doubt that this wont be an accidental tourism game.

Potato, maybe a better tile for Sparta's Acropolis is on the stone tile. It's adjacent to a wonder (Oracle) and government plaza, in total it's gonna get +4 adjacency bonus.

I know a tuber who played World of Tanks, and World of Warships. He kept mis-identifying enemy tanks and ships to the point it became a meme. He actually got included in WoWS as a captain, with custom voice overs that deliberately mistake destroyers as cruisers, or battleships as carriers. Watching this reminded me of him... "I've just met the void singers" - no, that was the vampires. "Hello Ethiopia" - no, that was Egypt. I'm now waiting for "So we've just met a science city state" - actually it's a culture one, but you know what, whatever.

I got to laugh with you talking about how some games just don't go to plan. Just finished an Ethiopia game where everything that could go wrong.....did. And yet, it had aspects of a REALLY good start, too. Had an AMAZING Preserve location in my capital, nice adjacencies, etc, but between barbs, natural disasters, the Civs I rolled and their opinion of me and congress votes; I was getting pummeled left and right. Lots of fun, but it was nearly Atomic era before I could start breathing easier.

Been subbed for about a year, and I love your stuff dude. However, I think the editing is getting a little too quick and choppy. I can only really speak for myself, but I think the sort of people that play CIV6 like a slightly slower pace. Perhaps I'm just getting old... I'm not going to stop watching your vids either way because they helped me claim my first ever deity victory. Your channel, boss: just voicing a personal preference. Peace.
