@Irfan Alddin and yet, in the end, they died unbroken. Tom fearful of Dumbledore he didn't even dare duel him again. And he couldn't even pierce Grindelwald's mind. Voldemort ended their gay lives. But they were both better than him in every conceivable way.
Oh you know what this made me think of your really looking into my soul there buddy wait is he trying to kiss me is my dad going to kiss the emperor OMG 😳 THIS IS HAPPENING STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU IDIOT! Star Wars robot chicken reference LMAO 🤣
@@therearenoshortcuts9868 But he does not age, he had horexsus , that is flike inding somone who is immortal and saying he have 500 years his hearth is weak, but no, immortals do not age, they cannot die of organs failure
Kingslayer why are you just making up bullshit. Dumbledore even told harry that "I was a shade more skilled" (not word for word but meant the same thing). Jk has never said grindewald was more powerful than dumbledore and all of her references to their duel imply dumbledore won due to his superior abilities. Unless you're saying it was written wrong which of course wasnt
Kingslayer - you're full of shit. +Knights is right; everything revealed about Grindlewald v Dumbledore implies that Dumbledore won through superior ability (be it intellectually or magical). In his "prime," Grindlewald was weaker than Dumbledore, and I daresay Voldemort as well, though that's a different issue. Also, if anything, it was Dumbledore who had feelings for Grindlewald, not the other way around
Technically, he didn't even kill Dumbledore though. We know differently that Dumbledore's death was pre-arranged between him and Snape, but Voldemort doesn't know that.
The way Dumbledore orchestrates his death as the only way to defeat Voldemort, which includes allowing him to "win", reminds me of the Infinity War/Endgame arc with Thanos
+off topic The last book made me cry. Not because it sucked, because it ended the obsession of every Harry Potter lover triumphantly. I think it was amazing. #myopinion #nohate
Honestly, if they actually showed that then that would completely forgive the movie of having Grindelwald reveal it as Dumbledore's (in the books he refused, and Voldemort killed him).
Voldemort: *opens grave and takes wand from Dumbledore* Dumbledore: *eyes suddenly open and smiles creepily as he starts to get out of the grave* It was foolish of you to come here tonight Tom ;) Voldemort: *Runs away and jumps into water*
Tiaam Du Nord Yeah it’s pretty absurd. This movie in particular though may actually be the worst. The beginning with Snape and Malloy Manor is practically pitch black. They took the darkness a little too extreme towards the end.
This was such a cinematic and intense scene, I remember getting chills in the theater when it happened. This had to have been one of the happiest moments of Voldemort’s life. Getting the Elder Wand and seeing the only wizard he ever feared dead in front him.
Yep. Dumbledore purposely never told anyone that his wand was the Elder Wand because he wanted to protect people from the power and destruction that it causes. No one knew it was the Elder Wand, except for Grindelwald, who was locked in prison. Voldemort worked out the truth eventually...and so did Harry.
because he knew that the current posessor of the elder wand is harry and also he knew that voldemort ( power-starved dark wizard) would open the tomb, take the wand and use killing curse on harry. that's why harry defeated voldemort. think about it. all the horcruxes destroyed so what did voldemort lose power ? no. he just became mortal. but he was still strong but the elder wand refused to kill his posessor (harry) and harry's expelliarmus spell hit voldemort and he took the wand back
It's probably traditional for wizards and witches to be buried with their wands if they so choose and people would have done so out of respect for Dumbeldore. The average witch or wizard didn't until Voldy did.
Juvell Mckenzie excuse me?what are you yelling at me for?in case you don't know..there's a scene in order of the phoenix, where kingsley tells Fudge,YOU MAY NOT LIKE HIM MINISTER..BUT YOU CAN'T DENY IT..DUMBLEDORE HAS GOT STYLE..i was just using that dialogue here bcoz voldemort is pretty stylish in this..the background music is pretty spooky here..and the scene in itself is pretty stylish..that's the reason i said it..there was no reason for you to yell at me..PS:you calling me a mudblood doesn't make me one..
gadha sr Wow so you clearly didn't get the joke .I was messing around with you .I know that it came in OOTF,that's why I said how dare you use a line meant for Dumbledore and say if for voldermort. I wasnt yelling at you I was typing 😒. But ok.Sorry for offending you
And instead of just taking the wand and leave with zero drama, he has to put his face that close to the face of a dead old man. Like, how can he stand the smell?
This scene gives me chills because the troubled kid Dumbledore visited in the orphanage all those years ago, the 16 year old that was wandering around Hogwarts late at night is the same person who is now standing in front of the dead body to gain the elder wand from his old mentor.
Not only that, but he's the one who killed Dumbledore, he's the reason why he can be in front of his dead body, because that kid is the same person who cursed the ring to the purpose of killing anyone taking it. That dark and evil fact is overlooked by the fandom, it seems.
@@rositamariposita9573 Yeah, but it was more Dumbledore being dumb for a moment than Voldemort planning that, cause he had no idea that Dumbledore knew his secret also Jk had to kill off Dumbledore otherwise the final battle wouldn't have happened.
Breaking into the tomb of the one person who can defeat you and steals one of the most powerful artifacts in existence to destroy the true arch nemesis. Typical villain trope.
I remember when this movie first came out I never appreciated it and always considered it to be the worst one but as I got older I decided to give it a rewatch and it’s honestly my favourite, along with Part 2 and Prisoner of Azkaban. Loved seeing the trio completely out of their element, they were thrust into adulthood very quickly and you can feel the tension, loneliness, fear everything throughout the entire movie. It’s truly a masterpiece and the cinematography of them running in the forest! 👏🏽👏🏽
Seeing the only wizard he feared dead in his grave must have given voldy so much satisfaction and confidence, and then he picks up the most powerful wand in existence
William Rankine just started beating the shit out of him, relentlessly pummelling him, not even speaking just endless punching. Voldy would be so shocked!
And he walked on, around the edge of the lake, taking in the outlines of the beloved castle, his first kingdom, his birthright. . . . And here it was, beside the lake, reflected in the dark waters. The white marble tomb, an unnecessary blot on the familiar landscape. He felt again that rush of controlled euphoria, that heady sense of purpose in destruction. He raised the old yew wand: How fitting that this would be its last great act. The tomb split open from head to foot. The shrouded figure was as long and thin as it had been in life. He raised the wand again. The wrappings fell open. The face was translucent, pale, sunken, yet almost perfectly preserved. They had left his spectacles on the crooked nose: He felt amused derision. Dumbledore’s hands were folded upon his chest, and there it lay, clutched beneath them, buried with him. Had the old fool imagined that marble or death would protect the wand? Had he thought that the Dark Lord would be scared to violate his tomb? The spiderlike hand swooped and pulled the wand from Dumbledore’s grasp, and as he took it, a shower of sparks flew from its tip, sparkling over the corpse of its last owner, ready to serve a new master at last.
You'd think with all that power and influence Voldemort had he could have atleast reconstructed his face properly and give himself a nose... I'm just saying.
I always thought this was a really dumb move even by Voldemort’s standards, he knows that wands choose who they are loyal to so what made him think it would just be loyal to him after he acquired it with a bit of grave robbing
I remember sitting in the cinema and I knew it was going to end there and there was someone sitting in front of me and as soon as it went black she shouted. "NO!" Haha. It is kind of how I felt too.
How dare he desecrate a man's grave! But see this is another thing that bothers me... why wouldn't they have put up some kind of magical defenses around Dumbledore's tomb.
Voldemort was second only to Dumbledore in terms of pure magical skill, and even then it's a really close shave. Dumbledore himself said in the books that even his best protection spells for Harry wouldn't last forever if Voldemort were to ever return to power. So it could be that everyone tried their best, and it amounted to nothing because the greatest dark wizard of all time simply can't be deterred that easily.
Then that should have been shown... I would have accepted it if Voldemort would have been shown making some effort in breaking into the tomb. But no... it looked quite simple.
They had a whole "raise your wands" sequence at the end of the sixth movie, and the seventh is already so long it was split into two movies. Yeah, we could add a scene where Voldemort gets there, says some pseudo-latin for a minute or two, and then gets in. But what does that add, exactly? The way the scene is, it makes Voldemort look incredibly powerful and highly disrespectful to all morality as we know it, which fits with his character nicely. Besides, have you seen Voldemort and Dumbledore's duel in the fifth movie? Take that, and compare it with the kind of magic, say, Seamus Finnigan makes on a regular basis. The two of them are so ridiculously beyond everyone else, and so they are respectively considered the greatest sorcerer in the world, and the greatest dark wizard of all time. You don't earn those titles by being a little prodigious; you earn it by being godlike in comparison to everyone else.
very strange that such an accomplished magician took so long to realize that he neither disarmed or killed the wands previous owner and the wand would never be completly cooperative with him also genius story telling because there was no way he could come across the knowledge that Draco is who the wand recognizes as it's owner he was doomed to fail as soon as he posessed it
+off topic actually i think my worst to best goes... half blood prince (boooring), deathly hallows 1, sorcerers stone, order of the pheonix, prisoner of azkaban, chamber of secrets (funniest), goblet of fire (exciting), deathly hallows 2 (action)
+off topic lol I'm just scrolling down the comment section and you are literally in 80% of the comments say how bad the movie is. Are you that lonely in real life that you must force you opinion on people who couldn't care less what you think.

0:50 if you pause you can see the progress of Dumbledore's curse: at least his hand is completely blackened... this film is filled with amazing details!
I’m about 10 years too late but I think it’s telling and symbolic that, due to him seeing Albus as the only objective threat in his conquest for power, Tom was finally willing to, in a sense, “face” Dumbledore now that he’s dead.
Even with so much effects and make up and all, Ralph Fiennes could give us this brilliant piece of acting and bring so much life to this complex and amazing character who is Voldemort. In the last two movies he definitely shows up! The moments when Voldemort are week and afraid is more terrifying than the others.
I love how Tom didn’t defile dumbledore’s grave beforehand and only opened it, not blasted it open, to steal the wand. At least he showed respect to the only man who could beat him
