This is absolutely professional and this actor plays almost better, than in the movies cause he is even more naughty and badass here, and even the expression in his eyes looks really evil and dangerous and if he kills Hephzibah and before, his eyes look really Psycho. Amazing! It would be great to make a film of Voldis whole life. This is such gorgeous!!!

I don’t think so. He Maybe wouldn’t have talked about him being the greatest wizard, but his greatest weakness has always been his anger and emotional outbreaks, you see that in CoS and GoF, especially in his early years. And he didn’t mind lying about his opinions but not about something that little important as Quidditch when they have already been friends and she was in love, so there was no need to manipulate her

I don’t think young Tom would go off on another student let alone be prideful in front of anyone. He’s always shown to be manipulative and keeps a facade at all times. He would have kept a lot of his feelings to himself, be calm and collected until the time to strike.

I am happy that they showed the scene with Hepziba Smith, cause it appears only in the book "Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince" and I have read it so many times that I wanted to see it as a scene in a film once, even if it wasn't in the official movie.

The only scene that really bothered me was, despite it looking visually beautiful, was the scene with Merope and baby Tom playing with the locket. Merope sold the locket when she was still pregnant, and died very shortly after giving birth to Tom. That scene was never possible.

Why are so many people being so negative? For a fan made project, this is seriously impressive! Just think about the effort and time this took to make. It's not "garbage" just because it wasn't what you were expecting. It is a very impressive short film, and these people should be praised for that.

They were well cast in terms of looks, but there's a few inconsistencies with Tom Riddle. One of his traits all the way through is that the mask never slipped, and Dumbledore was the only one who saw him for what he really was. He charmed and manipulated everyone around him, and would not have allowed his emotions to show through, and always remembered that he had told Dumbledore too much on their first meeting. He was careful to never do it again with anyone. Other than that, pretty well done.

I wish they could have made tom less cheezy in this film. In the books he was silent and charming. He didnt appear over confident and cocky. They completely went off with that one. I would die a happy man if a true prequel was made about Tom Riddle’s formative years and his ascent to the dark side. My favourite of the books was always The Half Blood Prince, because we got to learn so much about Voldemort’s back story from the private lessons between Harry and Dumbledore. For those saying Tom Riddle wouldn’t have ever shown his ruthlessness to fellow students, remember that he came from a Muggle orphanage and was sorted into Slytherin - run by Horace Slughorn - just as muggle-advocating wizards defeated Grindelwald. Slytherins would have despised him. In order to win not just respect, but outright loyalty from the top Slytherins of his age - Mulciber, Avery, Lestrange, Nott and Rosier, most if not all of whom were older than him - Tom would have had to demonstrate repeatedly he was the most powerful. And that wouldn’t just come from wand-waving in charms class. Also remember that under Headmaster Dippet, corporeal punishment was sanctioned. It was a much more cutthroat era than Harry Potter’s and more so than even James Potter’s time.

We also know for a fact Nott was in the Slug Club at the time of Tom Riddle. Nott in fact was the son of the man who wrote “The Sacred Twenty-Eight.” Just how far did the no-name boy from a Muggle orphanage have to go to get these boy’s respect? At the end, when tom says "you violated my souls tomb" i assumed he meant when when they took the diary from its hiding place. But upon listening again, you realize he means his soul that's still in his body when the veritiserum forced him to talk of his past. At this point hes trying to forget "tom" and become "voldermort"

All the actors were amazing, the story and plot-twist were surprisingly good. The only thing that bothered me was the audio and the overused close-ups on the eyes of literally every character. However, Great job!

Hepzibah was fatter and more exuberant in the book. Physically she would resemble more of the Hepzibah we see in the French fan film The Master of Death.

One of the best fan films I have ever seen. I watch it once a week, since I've known it. I wish there were heirs to the other houses, and it makes sense to me, that Godric, Helga & Rowena had kids, although not mentioned besides Helena Ravenclaw. And who says Rowena didn't have any sons, we just don't know. What bothers me here: 1.Merope Gaunt, never held Tom in her arms, she died right after giving birth to him, and he sees the locket only when Hepzibah is showing it to him. 2."The Raven is superior to the Snake". Wrong! It should be: "The Eagle is superior to the Snake". 3.The ending was so sad to my eyes. I liked it and didn't like it at the same time. Which makes this movie a master piece. 4.The lip syncing is horrible, I rather to hear the Italian with subs in English.

BRAVO, BRAVO, SIR this almost looks like something you would actually see in theaters. These people must have had a considerable budget to put together all these set pieces and special effects. I don’t know if this was a film school project or not but if it was they should be getting top marks. All my props to the creative story telling team as well, this is just goes to show what people can accomplish when they are passionate about something.

Apart from the voice sync (too bad the actors weren't speaking english), the music is intense, the color grading is stunning and the overall film is well executed ! Refreshing to explore other aspects of Tom Riddle's life, his obsession with noble magical artefacts for the horcruxes is well depainted. Much impressive !

I've been a Harry Potter fan from the start. Read all the books and watched all the film's. I truly applaud you all on this fan film. The dedication and hours of hard work you put into this truly showed and it's a unique take to the Voldemort story line. As a Potter fan I had a wonderful time watching this.
