Volkswagen Golf 8 2020 - first in-depth look in 4K, new interior, and exterior, Life vs Style package.
This is the new VW Golf 8, what do you think of the new design? Is it too minimalist compared to MK7? Personally, I find the new Škoda Octavia 4 more appealing and quality made for the first time.
Although I love the new infotainment system bit more on new Golf 8. The interior is well made, not sure if I personally like the front headlights that much.
The entry price for the base model starts for 25K € in Germany.

I have a similar slot in my 16 golf and it's in front of the cup holders. I believe it is a card holder. At least that's what I've used mine for :P

By the way, extra seals aren't always guaranteed to offer lower noise levels etc. If you want to filter certain frequencies, you can do that by alternating materials. VW had double seals on the doors of the mk V and still does on some other brands but golfs don't from mark VI and on. Whatever works best...Tight fit is preferable.

First time I’ve seen the new golf in a proper colour, this blue looks brilliant so if there is no better colour that’s the colour I will choose! It’s good to see VW getting away from all the generic budget colours but sick yellow and primer blue is really not the way to go!

The interior quality is always dictated by the base price of the car, which in this case will have a model going as low as 22k. So yeah. That's what you get. It's fine for a 22-25k car. Not fine if you spec it up for 30-35k. In that case, look elsewhere, maybe an audi.

I will definitely be getting a Golf despite the fact that loads of people say it’s ugly, when you see it in the flesh it looks so much better, photos don’t do it justice! I do wish they’d kept the GT moniker tho!

I really appreciate the attention to detail, wanted to check whether they actually downgraded the glovebox or not but it seems they actually did... (removed felt lining, removed ac vent, removed cd slot which isn't as big of a deal since cds are outdated now)

I had highline vw golf Mk7.5 facelift, very easy to drive and I love it. Until one day it has major water leak about 3-4Litres water. It was told to this is normal leak coming in between the door and behind the bumper. I was so confused as the car serviced annually well maintained, use to commute to work only. Labour cost euro800+ to fix this. I also heard from my peers that water leak is normal on an old car, but my golf is only 5years no accident and I decided to sell it recently, personally I will not buy a second golf.

Clown car! My wife drives the 2014 Golf 2.5l 187 HP (OK, this is in the US, where we don't like Lilliput engines and gas costs a fraction of what it costs in Germany) aspirated and has only 10k miles, which makes it a keeper since these lawn mowers only give you 134HP if pushed hard... Inside, no difference almost at all, if we disregard the "el cheapo" display and the even more cheap shiny black plastic. You keep saying "it's soft, it's leather"... There is ZERO leather in these cars!!! Good luck to all buyers!
