Clean and clear explanatory....thanks for your honest for saying that the customer should go back to the previous place that said they did that intake manfold, other mechanics or shops could have ripped that customer again for that thanks to show people that there are still good and honest mechanics out there, the issue is how to find them...great job my bro
I haven’t been a subscriber long but absolutely love your diagnosis. Learned a lot on the few videos that I have watched. Keep ‘em coming. You deserve a 👍🏾
Greetings , Mr. Deo , Really I feel happy to watch your videos and always waiting for new videos , you really deserve million thump up because of detailed information and your unique procedure of conducting your ideas , all appreciation to your good self.
Thats called a Tumble Valve. Article in ShopOwner Magazine talks about its failures. The valve and linkage have been modified for the replacement. You know I just read that article yesterday and today I am seeing the same problem firsthand on this GTI . Thank you K
Richard 1 Thank you! I recommended the customer to take it back to the shop that first worked on it, they have to warranty the job or give her, her money back! it's sad what other shops are doing to customers out there!
You do an excellent job at explaining and also make it easy to understand, as well as interesting. I subscribed, hope I don't need your help, I mean well, but if I do, I know who to go to for good and accurate DIY videos... I'm in the exact same cituaion as your customer, so I'll be talking to the shop who did the replacement of the intake. thanks!!!!
Doug Pfaltzgraff Thank you! it's sad what other mechanics are doing to our customers out there! The customer decided to take it back to the shop that originally looked at it!
… was just thinking how sequential and delibrate you do your diagnosis… sign of an honest effort… and how some other shops would not take as much time… and come to find out work had been done on the car for the same prob… there is no doubt she was had… being a female they walked over her… that thing was not replaced.
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair that was the right decision… it was their shit, let them deal with it… that is how dishonest they are… they rushed to change the intake (that is what they say… pure lie) just to get the woman’s money… do not get involved with it because you can end up getting dragged in some shit… you educated her with a good diagnosis… it is left to her to fight for her herself… you are an honest man unlike those crooks.
If that is the TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injected) then the culprit could possibly be the Intake Manifold. There was an article on those engines in the Shop Owner Magazine recently.
@devidjav3583 I'm glad to hear that you love the videos, the customer took it back to the previous shop that charged her for an intake manifold replacement! and thanks for letting me know where you are watching from!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I want to become as good as u are when doing diagnosis especially electrical work, any online resources u can recommend on to read or books to buy
I believe you! without a doubt bro , could you do a diagnostic on P0451 evaporative emission ?? Thanks bro if you could I do appreciate you more than you know
Tom Mack check the evap purge valve and the vent valve, your problem might be one of these! I have a lot of videos here on this channel that can show you how to test them! so I recommend you watch those videos and if you have more questions, email me at Deo@calleva.org
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair thanks again I will check them, I know you are a busy guy , you are great at what you do and I know I am not the only person here that bugs 🐛 you lol , I try not to be like a pest , thanks 🙏 again k
Great tutorial. My 2007 audi a4 giving a p0171. The car starts fine and idles around 1200 rpm then drops to 800 rpm and shakes. I unplugged the brake booster hose and the rpm stays same no change. Shouldn't the rpm rise because I am introducing more unmetered air? I am totally confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
I’ve got a beetle that’s popping the lean code right now and I just had a massive repair done to it. I can’t help but feel that since I’m a woman, I’m being taken advantage of. It seems every time I get it back from the mechanic it’s something else. I’d rather go to the doctor and get bad news than even take my car to the mechanic (because I’m always told something is going on and that kicks off a cycle of chasing problems with it)
Lovepreet singh Hanjra The customer decided to take it back to the shop that first did the repair! if you want to see the process of removing the intake manifold on this engine, I recommend you watch my water pump replacement video on a VW tiguan, in that video I showed how to remove the intake manifold and it's the same engine!!
The replacement manifolds are supposed to be much more durable and last longer than the original factory part. That vacuum leak was right on. That manifold is worn out. Does not look new to me.
Richard 1 yeah you're right, I don't think that manifold was replaced, the Customer decided to take it back to the shop that first looked at it! I hate to say it but I think she got ripped off! it's sad!
Grzegorz Skolimowski I didn't pay attention to the MAF, I guess it was taking too long to update the value, but it was fine because this vehicle was fixed after the manifold was replaced by the other shop!
K I do have a question about the smoke Machine …… I do the search there is a lot of smoke machine and people not all the smoke machine can do evap job because psi is too high…..so can you please recommend me a cheap and useful small machine thank you
大黄蜂 Bumblebee My Pleasure! The smoke machine that I used on the video is pretty good for evap systems and other things, plus it's not expensive, you can get that type of smoke machine. email at Deo@calleva.org and I will help you find a good smoke machine that may be best for you!
@@abdul-kabiralegbe5660 I would think with plactic welded halves and numerous potential leak areas something would go wrong. There is a lot out there about those intake manifold problems. Take Care Abdul
