Petrol hot hatches are now 400BHP and weigh 500Kg less. I think this is warm hatch at best. Also can you imagine the negative impact on the already limited range if you drive it spirited!

Feels like a cash grab to shift the id3 parts bin, vw designers ( if we can really call them that) have dropped the ball for several years, the phasing out of manuals the golfs gti haptic feed back system, the poor interfaces, the lack of basic functions ( illiumination) and the ugly litterally tacked on screens sticking out of the dash that will probs get ripped off by some peoples kids or be a target for crime, they need to go back to the drawing board asap ! But i'll leave my pitch fork in the garage locker untill the gti ev is closer to release.
