Hi, thanks for watching. I can't say I'm 100% sure how that part actually operates. I know there's a few electronic components inside it. It might be that it becomes heated and the voltage changes are read from the cooling of that plate by the air flowing over it but I could be wrong. I'm sure someone will comment who knows for sure🤞
i removed the whole unit with the lid of the air box and cut screwdriver slot in the head of the security screw, i was then able to remove it with a flat head screwdriver, a two minute job
That's definitely a much quicker way to do it for sure, if I'd had a Dremel, I'd have definitely done the same to save buying the 5 point torx bit but hey it was only a couple of quid😉👍
