Canada here. I just found out about this trim today.. So let me get this right.. Passat, Wagon, 4motion AND Diesel with 240 HP?!! Seems like I will be heading over to pick one up and find a way to keep her here forever.. Would LOVE to try this car!

Been waiting for someone to review this. Would have loved to see the petrol version too. Interesting you prefer the diesel. VW should indeed either give the option of the black trim or make it standard. I can’t stand it on my 2019 Passat R Line. I waiting to see the price for this. Love the trim and kit you get on it as standard, but really not sure on the colour. I have Oryx White at the moment and would love that with the black trim. Thanks for the review. 👍🏻

I own one, im from europe. Ppls complain that americans dont like these type of cars "wagons". Sales number prove it. Even in EU sales ar goin down... still for me best type of car. Everybody now want drive SUV.

Nice review thank you. Really tempted to have a look at one these. I was originally looking at a Golf R Estate but this does seem alot more practical for family life. On the petrol 270bhp TSI Does this have a valved exhaust which gives more sporty sound when the driving mode is in sport?

Thanks! Valve exhaust pretty sure not, just the sound on the interior will change I think

My Petrol 206tsi does not really change exhaust note. It’s more toned down sounding compared to the golf R

Hello, I'm going to buy one of this but I need a last advice; I'm still not sure whether it's better the TDI version or the TSI version. Did you try the TSI version? It's not a matter of consumption, just a doubt on the pleasure of driving. I had a 170HP TDI and I like the low rpm torque. Any suggest?

Thomas!!! PLEASE!!! Can U do the numbers when U doing acceleration test? Just buy a ReceLogic device and tell what is the figure! Im always curious is the acceleration as good as they tell to the customers in folders. Is that possible? I know that the conditions are always diffrent, but U can tell viewers that for example : This test is on a wet track and winter tires ..

hm, cant u see the number in the timecode? manufacturers dont tend to fake their official numbers in acceleration. They rather fake emissions =)

Why doesn't VW sell these in the US? I don't like the Atlas or Tiguan. Not going to buy one of those but this looks like it would fit my needs nicely!

Still Diesel is going to be banned in EU in few years... There are streets in Stutgart that now allowing Diesel, even though it's for old Diesel from 2005. A ban on diesel cars adhering to the Euro 5 emissions standard, which applied to vehicles made from 2009, is still before the court
