Welcome back to VW Scirocco R-Line | Review,
In this weeks upload I try to be the next Mat Watson and attempt my first ever car review video on the channel. Let me know in the comments how well you think I performed.

God I love this car. Great review my man. Im currently saving up for one, no idea when its gonna happen but I just cant wait. Super impressive you could afford it at 21.

had my 3rd new scirroco the very last month of production from VW. Very reliable cars. They put in the stuff that was important not the gimicks. Based on a very reliable time of VW. The only thing there with it is a hint of cost saving with materials and finish. But you have to know it to see it. Also you must give the diesels long runs or cleaner as youll get the black bits coming out the exhaust showing build up inside. But every diesel has this.

I’m currently getting a 2012 scirocco GTI By far the best car on the market in this price range It’s a real shame it’s currently been discontinued hopefully VW will bring it back and not change too much

Cheers for the review man. I’m torn between a BMW 120D, Scirocco TDI R Line, BMW 220D, and Golf GTD but this is kind of pushing me towards the Scirocco.

I would 100% sway towards the scirocco, Don't know about the area you live in but where I am the scirocco is much more rarer and uncommon compared to the golfs and BMW models. I have the only Facelift R-line in my area and haven't seen another in 3 years of ownership! Its always nice to be different and on another note its a car that's no longer in production so you'll always have the newest model! Until they release an electric version in the future but that's besides the point!

@@oldub_ you know what, now that I think of it, I’ve actually only ever seen 1 Scirocco down here in Bournemouth. They’re rare af and the facelift r line model looks beautiful. I just moved down here so don’t really care about having 5 doors or tons of space for rear passengers (#BillyNoMates) so will deffo see if I can view a Scirocco locally. Thanks for the insight!

I have a 2.0 tdi r-line in indium grey, bought new in 2016. And I still love it ❤ Only thing that bugs me, is the voice activation button doesn't work as you need a key code. Been told by the dealership that the button is just generic. Works on a golf, but not my scirocco 😒

Test drove the tfsi 2l and it was like a rocket . Might go back and buy it.

Coilovers, wheel alignment and sticky tyres (cup 2), powerflex rubbers should fix the torque steer.

Great Video Mate!! 🙌 Just a question tho: Since you did the remap to stage 1, apart from the power is there any noticeable difference in the fuel for example ? Is there any difference to fuel consumption? Thanks 🙏

Fuel consumption is great , can’t remember if it’s any different as it was such a while ago . But my MPG is 60+!

Found someone on instagram who carbon skimmed them. Not the best quality in my opinion, sure there are better examples out there!

Doesn't sound like a tractor at all, I know exactly what you mean tho. The mk4 golf owners do it because they think its cool!

my remapped 140 TDI Scirocco sounds ace. Very quiet and absolutely nothing like a tractor.

@@oldub_ The MK 4 engines were primaily the older 1.9 PD engines. A great engine but not as refined as these newer 2.0 TDIs.

Definitely if you have enough money to buy one and Insure it . Will be expensive as a first car !

Have you had any dpf issues with it being diesel or has it been trouble free?

Hello, in all honesty my DPF light does occasionally make an appearance but then goes off. I do often put a DPF cleaner through it tho :)

Thanks,today i went to my local VAG dealership and got a 2017 R line tdi that i had been considering for a couple of days,i can’t wait to pick it up when it’s ready,this review was a major factor in my decision,cheers for a great informative vid. 👍

Have you driven a golf or polo, if so is there a major difference.

Had both. Pretty much every variant of a golf and have had a polo . Similar driving experience, although the scirocco feels sportier due to the compact and low roof line
