I picked up a 2025 a little over a week ago and love it. It has a lot of features for the money and is very comfortable. Looks great and is a high content car for the dollar. Very reasonably priced.
@@illegalfreakTV awful capacitive touch steering wheel controls, as well as awful capacitive touch climate control buttons. No rear AC vents, a Toyota like horrible looking infotainment screen with a massive bezel. Extremely cheap plastic everywhere.
The 2024 Jetta had "variable assist" steering. It's lighter at low speed and heavier at high speed. I assume that's also true of the 2025. You should've talked about this when you said the steering is light, and you should've tested it on the highway at a different time of day. For those who don't know, the other type of adaptive steering is "variable ratio". If you turn your steering wheel 90 degrees (or however many degrees) left or right, your front wheels will turn more at low speed and less at high speed. Variable assist steering feels more sporty and stable at high speed. Variable ratio steering is easier for the average non-enthusiast to drive and is usually cheaper.
I've had 2 Jettas in my life and this one by far has the best looking exterior..of course you have to go with the higher trim to really see the beauty of the car.
@@strongtowerman9661 I had 2 minor electrical issues with both, which the dealership took care of. I leased both, so any recalls were resolved quickly. If you're looking to buy used...then I would check the car thoroughly before signing anything.
the Jetta has been on sale for nearly 50 years same as the Honda Accord and just a bit longer than the Toyota Camry though the Accord and Camry are a class up from Jetta in modern times as in they are classed as midsize cars while the Jetta is a compact car like a Corolla/Civic
Only mainstream European sedan in USA. I wish there were more affordable European cars on offer in US. European car interiors are so much better than any Asian brand. Honda is the only one that comes close in my opinion.
They don't sell Jetta in Europe😢. This is a Mexican car. Tho we still have the Škoda Octavia that is similar price sedan, and the 2.0 liter diesel heyy!!🎉
fyi many foreign brands are made in N America. Honda only makes Civic R in Japan. Toyota only has a handful of models still made in Japan. It's politics and profit of course.
Fast car and reminds me of a Mercedez C240. I was so lucky to have it as a loaner and didn't want to give it back. I found so many excuses to drive this car to multiple times to the store with the sunroof open. This car was a dream and the gas was very efficient. If for any reason my 4runner is done, this car is first on my buy list!
I had a 2011 Jetta TDI - no problems on 86k miles , and have a 2017 Passat with 90k miles- no problems. When it’s time to replace, I’ll definitely consider a GLI with manual transmission! I’m kind of sold on these things!
I have a GLI and it is worth the extra price of admission. I have a '23 model. When I went to VW, I just wanted the fully loaded SEL Jetta, and then I turned my head and saw they had a GLI on the lot. I asked how much is that and for a few grand more, what you get is worth every penny over the standard Jetta's.
Overall the Base trim looks really nice. Should have test drove the 30 + year Benchmark The GLI ❤️🇩🇪 Gonna have to say the lack of rear vents is disappointing for the rear passengers. An option for rear Sunshades for the rear doors and rear glass would be a nice option.
I just sold my 2017 Jetta four months ago and I’m now riding the bus for the time being. It was the absolute worst money pit ever. 👎👎👎 I’ve purchased numerous new cars over the years and a couple of used ones, but never have I ever had to walk away from a good car to salvage my finances like I did with my Jetta. For the record, I’d still purchase another new Volkswagen if I won the PowerBall lottery. I really like these vehicles, especially the Atlas. I purchased my Jetta new, the price was far and the vehicle was on par with its competiton. The fuel mileage was absolutely amazing. The maintenance expense on the other hand was catastrophic. I followed the maintenance intervals faithfully though very costly and two recalls were taken care of immediately, but when my extended warranty expired the repair bills amounted to nearly $4,000.00 just to pass a safety inspection on a very well maintained vehicle. The Volkswagen service department as really stickin’ it to me, and the independent garages weren’t any better. I’ve never paid a $4,000.00 repair bill for any car in my life and I wasn’t going to start now. Instead of moving forward with these repairs, I sold the car back to the dealership and purchased bus tickets (for real). Steer clear of Volkswagen unless you’re leasing with the intention of returning the car when the warranty expires. I’m still shaking my head over this fiasco.
@@Orangematz I had a long list of repairs when the car was new, long enough that I was genuinely concerned that I had purchased a brand new lemon, but after about three or four visits to the dealership it was all repaired under warranty and the car was great for several years afterwards till recently. I forgot to mention that I only had 74,885 kilometers (46,532 miles) when I had to sell my Jetta.
@@bob-jo5gd Thank you for the insight, and i've been thinking about this car since my 2006 4runner is costing me dearly as well in repairs reaching 100,000 miles. Oh well, Camry as my alternative.
I’ve owned three VW’s because I really wanted to give them a chance and I do like them. But none of them lasted more than five years without needing major repair work. The reliability still isn’t there.
Never in my mind at all tf natsu VW... but still have not seen anything of that new E.V. VAN. They take soooooo long to build something new then it's gone is 5 to 10 years. 😮😮😅
Everything is good except the engine. The engine is outdated, similar engine and fuel economy came in the 2016 1.5 jetta. They desperately need a hybrid version that will get 50 mpg + (like Camry or Corolla) I'll hold off until then.
“Shock” and “All new”????😂😂😂 sound bites indeed for Click bait videos. Nothing shocking or all new about this second or third refresh of the A7 Jetta/GLI which was introduced 5 years ago (2019). This is just a rewarmed and rehashed old car. I would be actually shocked if VW had address the shocking 😂 cost cutting going on in the rear seat of this car: Hard plastic door cards, no AC vents, no USB-C or 12V power ports, fixed rear headrests, etc.
VW's are crap. I learned the hard way. As a whole this company is in dire trouble and their sales are flat. They say they will be closing many plants. Just avoid this brand.
My brother in law had a diesel golf that had a 150k miles with zero issues before he had to turn it in for dieselgate lol He got a Alltrack as a replacement, also zero issues.
@@Pamlicojdjdj1487 I've had 3 VW's and by far the highest cost of ownership I"ve seen. I'm talking after 30K miles just out of warranty. Most people moved on because of this. The Westmorland plant was so bad they leveled it to the ground. The reason VW's sales is so bad is people got tired of the higher costs of ownership and moved on. Perception is a bitch. In the 2000's they had oil issues, timing belt issues, electrical gremlins, water pump issues, harness shorts, coil failures to name a few I think QC is a big issue here. Might be why some have hellish experiences and others do ok. It does not matter if the new ones are any good. Their customer base already moved on a LONG TIME ago. VW sales are in the crapper and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Labor hours are way too high these days to take that gamble. A few years back I contemplated on buying a GTI again. But I just couldn't do it. I wanted a 100K bumper to bumper extended warranty and it was going to cost way too much (VW does not have much faith in their product). Ended up buying a Mazda MX5 and it was the best built car I've ever driven. Just amazing quality.
@@Pamlicojdjdj1487 got rid of that trash a few years ago 😂 got a 24 Toyota crown limited and 24 Mustang gt premium that’s on my channel already What do you have Pam ? Better not say Jetta 😂
