Proud owner of a Tucson. It’s been just over 3 months since I got the delivery and it already has 10,000+ kms under its belt! Finished a 4000 km road trip from central India to Kerala and man oh man, I fell in love with this car! The Tiguan no doubt is a formidable competitor, but I think when it comes to comfort and features, the Tucson is heads and shoulders above anything in this range.
*Koreans can't even come close to the Germans* says a 🤡, man doesn't even know just how reliable Hyundai cars are. It's funny how the Koreans(Genesis) are doing better than all of the *German* luxury brands 🤡🤡🤡🤡
I test drove both cars and selected the Tucson. It feels a segment above from the inside, what with more interior room (back seat space, back seat recline angle, width, length etc.) and plushness. The music system on the Tucson is also far better and to get the most out of it, use a USB drive with high res FLAC or WAV files. The Tucson also fares better over rough roads. The Tiguan front suspension does a loud double rebound every time it hits a sharp speed breaker, probably due to limited suspension travel. Ultimately, you should check out both cars personally before coming to a conclusion. The best version of the Tucson to go in for is the Diesel Signature AWD. Some other notes - Tucson has bigger tyres (235/60 R18). However as these are 103H rated, better to change them to 103V (Contisport Contact5) or 107W (Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance SUV). Michelin has a very good option of Pilot Sport 4 SUV with 109W but these had been pulled out of India about one and a half years ago. The Primacy is available in 103V, but these are overpriced and the Continental / Goodyear options are both better and cheaper.
No problem bro...dream nd work Hard and Smart..be ur own example..30yrs back my parents started with a Rajdoot..nd now they have( Volvo xc40, Harrier nd city) nd they both retire after 2 yrs...they r my biggest example...
Lol what do u think which people usually watches these reviews .. so called enthusiasts and nikamme log that's it no one buys car watching reviews definitely not old cars .. new cars dekhte hai .. most of the buyers r fixed buyers or test drive buyers .. it's just folks like us ku6 kaam dhanda ne hai video launch hua dekha
People asking for a diesel on the tiguan but I have driven cars with the 2L tsi 190bhp,320NM and honestly it is a very good engine and has great performance and is a high revving engine so point being don't go over the spec sheet numbers always or the type of engine on the basis of fuel
Also for clarification the reason why Tucson got only 3 stars in the Latin Ncap test which was done recently was not because of weak body structure or build quality. The body structure was rated as Stable. The reason was isofix placement was not rightly placed and also there was no option to turn of seatbelts. Latin Ncap is very strict. Whatever car it may be it is advisable to read the full report and know the reason why it was rated low or high so we can make better buying decisions. Also in 2022 it was tested by IIHS and received Top Safety Pick+ award. As we know Tucson scored 5 stars in Euro Ncap. The bottom line is Tucson is a very safe car and a 5 star rated car.
Don't lie to potential buyers. Maybe you bought a cheaply made shitbox. That doesn't mean you should go around lying about it so other people make mistakes like you.
@@niteshxthakur exactly. I don't get why people buy these korean cars in India, we all know they are made with weaker materials to their foreign counterparts which compromises safety. And their features are sub-par as well. Idk what advantage these cars offer over others.
@@ashutoshpatil2515 but the tiguan looks so dated. it doesn't have the stance or road presence. I'm not taking any sides here. I'm confused which one to go for. I have been driving a Polo for a decade now and I'm super happy with it. It never broke down, never gave me troubles. I do have reservation to spend 40L on a Hyundai car. But I also feel the 40L on the Tiguan doesn't show up. I'd have bought it if it was 25L. Hyundai is overpriced too, but at least it offers features, looks etc. that cars at 30L don't.
Own VW Tiguan Allspace 7-seater 2021, some correction, 1. Driver seat has automatic multiple adjustable options, 2. Boot has soft roll-on detachable cover. Yes, car design is old but man in sub 50 lac premium SUV today, there is none that stand up to VW Tiguan, whether on ride quality or safety. I just did a 3400+ return journey and man, the experience is better than Fortuner which I drove from Pune to Goa 1200 Kns return journey. This one is no-brainer
One small correction. Tucson is manufactured in INDIA so we do not know the NCAP. European versions always score better than Hyundai’s indian manufactured cars. Meanwhile, Tiguan is imported as CBUs from Portugal and is rated 5 ⭐️ in EURO NCAP. I own a Tiguan 2022. It’s amazing. It feels like it’s built like a TANK.
For god's sake pls stop wasting time on the bottle holder comparison in these reveiews. Nobody cares for it! The last thing i will do it is to buy a car just because it has 2 additional bottle holders😂
Kodiaq has got the driving dynamics of Tiguan and luxury, premiumness of Tucson. L&K variant of Kodiaq is much better value than the top variants of Tucson and Tiguan, although it is slightly expensive, it is offering everything for the price tag.
Same thoughts but only problem with Kodiaq lies with its low ground clearence of 140mm and also the lwb will reesult to no offroading capability at all
Vw is for people who prefer car with better safety, driving dynamics and fun to drive basically marured car owners. Tuscon is for people who want overall premium and comfortable family car with tech specifications. VW new model coming in india has all tech features along with 15 inch screen. New VW will be dope the only concern is how much costly it will be. Anything below 42, 43 will be absolute good pricing.
Not a fair comparison Petrol 2.0 of VW should be compared with 2.0 petrol from Hyundai VW is 4 wheel Hyundai 2.0 petrol does NOT have a 4 wheel drive 180+ vs 150+ of horse power no comparison This review needs a re-review
Dear Sir please also inform the viewers that in case they buy a Hyundai Tucson they will have to wait for 15 days in case any part of the vehicle needs replacing … even small regular replacement items like diesel filter and mobile filter one has to inform the Hyundai service centre 15 days in advance to get the job done
Question to Tucson owners. How is the REAR speaker quality in your car? I have noticed the front speakers are wayyy better than the rear ones. It's difficult to hear anything on the rear speakers without making the front passengers uncomfortable due to the loudness of the front. The balance from these BOSE speakers is poor. And apparently this is an issue in all Hyundai cars sold around the world (with BOSE speakers) :(
Tucson has all the features but the Indian version misses on rear window sun shades. I saw Carwow review of Tucson and that model had it. I wonder if Hyundai forgot to put it in or didn’t care as Alcazar gets them.
When you start to see how atrociously priced cars like the x1 and q3 are, these cars start to make a lot of sense and are great value. Sad that in India people run after badge. The xi 18i is actially cheaper elsewhere in the world than the superb, kodiaq and even the tucson awd, but in India ?
@@baunbaun82 i have skoda superb nd i know vry well that TSI is dope...bt i believe a SUV should have a diesel Option or Hybrid...bcoz in heavy city traffic its drinks a lot of fuel...i Nvr questioned TSI engine..bcoz i myself Own one
Our government's whimsical policies around petrol/diesel cars are the real bummer - our sudden obsession with EV is just not very appropriate. If you are in Delhi/NCR region, even if your car is in fantastic condition, just because it completes 15 years (for petrol) and 10 years (for diesel), you have to literally throw it away!! And Delhi/NCR is a huge chunk of overall car-market in India!! So, manufacturers have no option but to stay away from Diesel altogether and gradually move away even from petrol...
Nobody want to Understeer and crash to death. Only Matured or car guys will buy the Tiguan 4Motion, Drives better, Seats comfortably 4 people with Unmatched safety and structural integrity. Btw, The Tiguan is slightly older and its due for next generation of model.
@@rishi4828 Biased? Really? Tiguan drives better and feels more safer and secure to sit in! It's a fact. And Hyundai' are known for boat-like handling and a light-arse steering feel.
@@gtsuryateja3905 have you been calling yourself a "car enthusiast" or something like tht? If yes, then stop being in the melodrama 😂 dude do you even have some basic knowledge of suspension? Every kind of suspension setup have its own ups and downs, and with the suspension setup in Hyundai Tucson and other Hyundai cars too it will obviously has the untight connectivity feel at high speeds but for tht we have much better ride quality at cruising speeds, yeah much better than tiguan and her sibling (I've driven these vehicles for your sake of info) and every sensible person knows tht German cars are hell unreliable and loves to visit their beloved ASC at intervals, a VW Polo owner himself tried to sell me his car bcoz he was fed up with tht car (no doubt tht car sticks to the ground like no other but is overstiff for Indian roads too) anyways yes your comment feels seemingly bias bcoz you (and there are many like you in Indian car buyer market tht don't has the whole knowledge of the car or any company for tht matter.. they are just soooo blinded by the pre-paid car media channels.. tht Tucson has been rated 5 star by Euro Ncap .. now don't tell me you are unknown to Euro ncap and anyways for your information the agency which gave Tucson 0 stars is Latin Ncap which is irrelevant for ANY CAR on this planet. Motorbeam has most of its videos as hidden partnerships, this one seems to be sponsored by VW(I'm not sure for this one) but obviously tiguan has much more cons which aren't openly clarified in Indian media, I hope in future Indian buyers will become mature and stop blindly following a brand for sick reasons, unlike foreign car buyers ( I'm not saying tht foreign buyers are always great but they are still farrr more mature than atleast these people in the comment section)
@@gtsuryateja3905 this car is an international car from Hyundai that comes as CKD routes!! And Talking about handling the Elentra N alone smoking every VW on the Nurburgring track records!! So yea U are a VW fan boy
I think the Jeep compass is not a bad option . It is the only SUV that has a Low 4x4 . I sold my Land Rover Discovery sports and bought a jeep compass model s 4x4 and extremely happy. I live in a very remote hilly area with lots of bad roads and require a low range 4x4
@@prathamkinjavadekar8096 yes that 100 % agree . I used to own a Toyota fortuner 1st generation and Ford Endeavour 2018 model . Both these monocoques were a tad too big and lumpy ride quality. I was disappointed with the off-roading capabilities compared to the above two . However I am very impressed with the Jeep Compass . It so does not do what the Toyota and Endy does 100 % . But oh boy !! It sure for 90 % of the off road job and In a more sophomore manner. Tulruely and underrated car the Jeep compass … it must be due to the high price tag and the fuel economy is as bad the Endeavour 3.2 .
What is the sense giving heated seats in Tiguan. vw is the most confused group in Indian market. Tucson is clearly the better choice. If anyone has 40+ lakh I don't think they will choose Tiguan over Tucson
Did the tiguan have unusual thud/clunking noises from the front suspension while going over sppedbrealers and undulations ? Ive had this problem since day 1 - VW is totally unhelpful in the matter.
The Tiguan suspension is designed for European roads, not the rougher roads that you get in India. I faced the exact same problem when I test drove the Tiguan. The best suspension that I have come across is the one in the Audi Q5. Audi has used a special suspension termed as 'luxury heavy duty suspension'. This is miles ahead of the X3 and GLC. The Tucson suspension on rougher roads is better than the X3 and close to the GLC. The Tiguan suspension is worse than the X3 (The X3 suspension jars over broken roads but doesn't do the double rebound as in the Tiguan).
@@raghvendrasingh7426 Designed for Europe isn't really an explanation - so are many other CKD cars in that sense. It is an SUV after all and does ok over bad roads and gravel. Anyone know a technical explanation for it ?
Illiterates rant about latin ncap which has no significance in India but forget about euroncap. IIHS, Austrailian ncap which scored a perfect 5 stars. Plus, its a CKD and has similar safety features as Austrailian model, latin model is highly underequipped

Overpriced Vehicles unfortunately due to our Taxation system. The same vehicle, Tucson with the same features in the country which i am working in Southeast Asia cost only around 25 Lakhs. We pay more and makes these cars less affordable, contrary to the prices in other countries.
