Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park and Museum 

Was traveling from Manteo to Fayetteville and stopped in Wilson. Moving venture for Wilton to take on. The park is beautiful and the restorations are amazing. I’m so impressed that the city embraced a resident and has made a whole identity out of his artwork. He is most certainly a Wilson treasure but he’s a treasure of the world as well.

I used to drive out by his place at night and as the headlights hit all the reflectors it was pure magic. Lots of legend and lore. We called it "Acid Park".

This is so wonderful. Your live cam has had me mesmerized!

He truly was a talented artist and engineer.

I loved them my grandma took me its just crazy how much he worked his life just to make this

This place ranks up there with NC must see attractions like the Biltmore. Simpson was an absolute genius.
