They did everything they could to beat us and we rose to the challenge! The defense played lights out all night and the offense did enough to get the Win and it meant so much to coach and this team. They will practice these situations in weeks to come and find ways to correct mistakes. It just means more! GBO 🍊🏈
Oklahoma prepared for one game and Tennessee gave them another. They worked on that fast paced game and Tennessee slowed it down and played a variable speed game. Oklahoma got the QB twice and gave it right back. Momentum gained and returned.
It feels like just before half we took our foot off the gas and were trying to protect our lead. I hate it for our defense that they gave up a few trash td, our defense has been absolutely phenomenal and was cheering for them to keep that streak growing.
We have a really good football team. This game had some similarities to Pitt 2 years ago. Offense was good not great but they found a way to win a tough game in the road.
The refs called everything they could on Tennessee. Oklahoma went the whole first half with just a false start and then only two flags in the 2nd half.
They sure did water that field down for this game, looking at last weeks game against Tulane the middle of the field looked a little brown. Wonder if they were trying to slow us down?
@@BigRW You are correct, sir. I believe Nico will get better and play wiser as we go. There’s so much expectation that in certain situations he puts the team on his shoulders and tries to do too much. Imagine Nico in year 2 and 3. Going to be special.
@ugkingpatb9808 dude do you know anything about football? Nico didn't watch were the rush was coming from twice and because he was hit on blind side fumbled twice. That shot won't work aginst the Bama and ga.
Tennessee’s offense obviously reacted negatively to its pass blocking woes and just played the clock the 2nd half… they will not be able to do that against better offensive teams… need to take the bye week to get healthy and cook up some answers to complimentary football on the offensive side rather than just hanging the defense out there for an entire half
Tennessee is playing great defense… but Oklahoma’s offense is not in a good place with banged up skill positions, offensive line is a mix of injuries, poor depth, and inability to gel… and Arnold is just not him yet
Heupel froze. His offense was looking at him confused by the play calling. You have to let them go play, otherwise they think you don’t believe in them. Their confidence took a major dip tonight, but thank goodness we have a defense. A great defense. Kudos to T Banks for cutting his guys loose and letting them go make plays. .
i think the field conditions had a lot to do with how the game was called. receivers aren't able to get separation in those conditions. oklahoma has a history of messing with the field. under barry switzer's triple option they elevated the middle of the field so when they were running to the edge they would be able to run faster.
Two fumbles that put the defense in tough spots. He iced the game. Let’s get this bye week and get the o line healthy. Nobody’s confidence dipped, they just put it away in the most boring way possible.
We had Lance Heard out then his replacement got hurt so that affected the playcalling. Oklahoma has a good defense so give them some respect. The Officiating was also a little suspect.
Cain says “there’s a lot to clean up offensively” granted they are playing on the road, down two starting tackles, and playing a really good defense. No mention of that LOL people honestly think well if we play good we will win 50-0 like the other team has no input in the game at all. Hate that lazy ass analysis
