Helicores sound as though the output has been EQ-ed. Thomastik has more "unfiltered" frequencies, especially on higher strings, and because of that they sound "livelier". Both are good choices though! Yes, do more! 😃
I always use thomastic super flexible But now I need brighter strings set I am thinking in helicor or prazision 🤔 which is brightest set ! Because my violin a little bit dark sound. Advise me. Thansk
Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked the Helicores-I ended up going with the T.I.'s more for the feel than the tone (but you're not the only person who preferred the Helicores). And YES this can easily be adjusted with an EQ pedal, I agree!
The Helicore strings sounded better, but it was probably a old strings vs. new strings test, wasn't it? maybe you should repeat the experiment in a month. Also you can compare new out the box strings vs settled in strings. Also i'm a violist. I use dominant strings but not because I'm an expert, but because my teacher told me too, when i was a boy...
Ah, these were both pretty new! I put the TI’s on less than a week after the Helicores (ie, I changed the strings within one week). My other videos where I change the strings are though!
