Mia is so incredible. Go check her out if you haven't already. So fun watching her reactions. She now has her own custom Volta Flaxotron and it is so pretty.
I always use thomastic super flexible But now I need brighter strings set I am thinking in helicor or prazision 🤔 which is brightest set ! Because my violin a little bit dark sound. Advise me. Thansk
Thanks for the video! Getting some smooth violin overdrive that doesn’t sound too harsh given all the high frequencies from the bow vs the guitar picks they’re intended for has been a problem I’ve been grappling with for years, and this is so helpful. Your tone at 8:10 reminds me of Sugarcane Harris’ violin tone on some of Zappa’s albums!
Great video, many thanks! I'm experimenting with the octave down on the ME80 (the effect on the expression pedal) which is ok. Is there any way to hear less of the 'ambient' sound on my electric violin - all I hear is octaves rather than just the octave down pitch.
Thanks for watching! If I'm reading correctly, you'd like less of your dry signal, and more of the suboctave? If yes, you can control the balance of each octave using the three knobs in that Comp/FX1 section-more of the first two knobs (-1 and -2 oct), and turn down the third knob (direct). Hope that helps!
That sounds great, and she was already starting to make some great music with that. Reply here if someone actually completes a song, or songs, in that fashion. Great sound. 🙂
