They themed it with Nikola Tesla, and then used what looks to be linear induction for the launches. That is a pretty genius move, and it makes for a really fun-looking ride.
Looks pretty cool. The European parks seem to have better theming than usa parks, although the usa parks have better coasters. Still i plan on visiting Thorpe Park and Alton Towers in a few years when i retire. And go golfing in Scotland
From what I’ve heard, Mack Rides calls it an “Effect Track”. XAV may be right that it’s a bunch of hydraulics, but I heard it serves a much bigger purpose than just a simple bounce. I could be wrong, but I believe the “Effect Track” is meant to act as a scale that measures the weight of the train before launching it up the inverted top hat. It takes the weight and calculates how much power and energy is needed to get the train up without causing a rollback.
