I am so glad you met up w/ St Vincent. My granpa used to get his meals delivered daily thanks to them and it used to help him so much to solve his loneliness (we lived abroad). Now he lives with us and he is still so thankful for what these volunteers did for him, for the smiles they gave him daily and the love they brought. Im so thankful their daily visit helped him when we couldn't be there. It's more than food, it's love :) thanks Hannah for meeting up w/ them, so glad you use your social media power to get this message through x

My grandmother was a Meals on Wheels recipient for many, many years. She insisted in staying in her small town, even after my father and uncle moved across the country on account of getting work, because it's where her husband was buried. They kept her company as her sons and grandchildren could not visit.

My grama used to volunteer with meals on wheels and I would sometimes go with her to help deliver. As a small child it brought huge smiles to the elderly people's faces. It made me so happy to help and make others happy. I love this.

This video was my favorite HAHD yet! You make me feel so positive. This video made me think of my grandma, who for a while was living alone in her house. (She's recently been fortunate enough to move into assisted living.) Before moving, she had a very traumatic experience due to living alone and was lucky to have survived. It's so wonderful to know that these seniors have volunteers looking out for them and bringing them love. No one should be alone. I kind of want to volunteer now! Thank you for sharing!

I wish our society would spend more time advocating for, and sharing the benefits of volunteering. I started volunteering to give back, but soon realized it did wonders for my self-belief, and it continues to make me grateful for everything I have in my life. Volunteering is addictive - the more you give, the happier you feel, the more you want to give. Thanks for uploading!

Ahh I love getting to volunteer and actually talk with the people you're helping. Every winter, my school's chamber choir gets to go out and sing for senior citizens and at soup kitchens and for kids' Christmas concerts, and it's the most amazing thing to get to sing for people, sure. But more than the performances is getting to talk to everyone after and hear how grateful they are just to get some company or that we really cheered up their holiday season. The have a heart videos always make me so happy!

Oh my! This had me all teary! I used to take my two year old to deliver meals on wheels - she would light up the room with her funny little conversations and her cute dancing and prancing. It's been so long... I should get out there again and do that! Great video!

Oh Hannah you picked the perfect title because as I watched it I cried hysterically so I'm definitely in all the feels right now and I definitely think it's such a beautiful thing your doing by visiting these places and using your voice for so much good and it's not something you see that often but if this video didn't make everyone want to go out and volunteer then I feel bad for that person it didn't reach because as overwhelmingly beautiful this mission is it's also so incredibly sad to watch all these people in need but it makes me so glad that there are organizations out there like this to help these people!

Thank you so much for doing a HAHD with Meals on wheels!! I do a weekly route with one in my city and it started as a project for a class that I just kept up because I enjoy it so much. I've done it for a little over a year now and it's been one of the most fulfilling volunteer jobs I've ever done.

I loved do meals on wheels with my mom in Toronto through Sunnybrook Hospital. I favourite part was the people we met. My favourite person was this little old Chinese man that did not speak English very well but he would light up when he saw us and at Christmas time he would give is a chocolate bar for coming every Saturday with his meal and giving him extra snacks.

My grandmother has been getting Meals on Wheels for about 2 years now; she loves it. They're made by students at one of the local Vo-Techs, and she loves getting to talk to the delivery person. It used to be a sweet older woman but now it's a younger man close to my age. She thinks it's wonderful - when she was living alone for the majority of my senior year of HS, Meals was much needed company for her. She also has two women who come over during the week to help her clean her room and take her out to appointments and such, which is so helpful. My mom and siblings moved back in with my Nana, but since they're all at school during the day, she is alone, so she still gets Meals and the wonderful women who come help her out 3 times a week. One thing that I love/hate is that when she isn't home, they call me to make sure she's okay. This typically happens when she forgets to cancel her meal for the day because she has therapy or something, but I am so glad that they take the time out of their day to call and make sure that she's okay and to let me know that she didn't answer - even if it sends me into a panic.
