Hello, can you tell me how long standard connecting rods will last? I have a 500 hp turbine, but I can’t find connecting rods other than standard ones, tell me, can I assemble them using standard connecting rods? 300+
More than 300hp and you are out on thin ice with standard rods pretty much. Also depends on the torque curve etc. Too much torque too early will send the rods into orbit 🫣 You can find new h-beam rods on speeding or klracing for example.
@@jebidiahcarlyon3543wouldn't say hard to find, only thing to look out for is that they have the narrower big end, since stock pistons are meant for piston steered rods, if you have wisecos you need the ones with the wider big end since they are crank steered
You can use cheap maxspeedingrods 4 for 400 euro h-rod b230 std size. That's the only upgrade you HAVE to do to throw that turbine on. Replace all gaskets and bearings etc for another 500, and match the weight on the oem pistons by drilling the square part under them away until they're within .5g of each other. This way you can feel safe at 500whp. I've met a local guy who push at least 700 wheel hp from a b230 and he runs maxspeedingrods (Don't trust the ones who say china doesn't work even tho it might not be AS good).
