Missed out that little black disc at the end of the shaft! Replaced a few years ago. Engine recently steaming a bit. Related, I wonder? Removed impeller yesterday and heads came off 2 of 6 screws! Mole grips ordered. Pain in the a***!,
As you will hear from Chris's explanation this is the way our pump rotates, if a later model then it might go the other way?? As for anything if you are doing it yourself and you are concerned then follow the manuals advice or ring a Volvo dealer, this video is purely a demo on how we changed ours on a Kad32. We are not Volvo specialists.
why did you change it? was it routine maintenance or was your boat over heating? I recently bought a boat and it just started overheating and the water is not circulating should i start with the impeller?
