After changing oil and filters in your Volvo S60, V70, XC70, S80 or XC90 you can reset service reminder yourself. You don't need diagnostic interface or expensive computer to do so. All you need to do is perform reset procedure and your Volvos maintenance reminder will be cleared.

For 2001 and up, with the key removed from the ignition, keep pressing the odometer button. Insert the key in ignition directly to POS II. When the yellow triangle appears and starts flashing, release the button then turn the ignition off. May help if the trip odometer is set to T1 (not sure if it's really needed).

Is that normal, when I push the brake pedals, that yellow thing is lighting? just untill the braking..it’s stopping when I don’t push the pedals. I have a Volvo v70 from 2002.

Hmm... Short circuit or low brake fluid level which is detected only when you use brake.

Any ideas on what to do when this doesn't work? I hear the beep, and the trip goes back to its value, but then the service engine soon message keeps coming back.

That's a warning indicator. It shows with the message on the LCD display.

You need to let go of the button as soon as the triangle starts flashing if you wait too long it doesn't work 2007 xc90

No. This reset only the maintenance reminder which is not an fault code - just a regular maintenance indicator. If you have SRS message, then you should first read the code with diagnostic scanner, remove the fault and then reset the SRS service light.
