Volvo V50 driveshaft replacement

I had a bad vibration at 50mph+ so replaced driveshaft on NSF.
This is how i replaced it on my volvo v50 without taking the balljoint nut off.
Bolt torque:
Driveshaft nut 20nm + 90°
Wishbone into subframe bolt 90nm
Wishbone rear to subframe 115nm

Thanks for this - I'm doing this driveshaft on Saturday. I hadn't thought of freeing up the lower A-arm ike that, I'll do the same I think.

I generally tear the balljoints even if im really trying not too, this way there is no risk of that 🙂 thanks for watching, and good luck 🙂

Would have loved to see you cut the boot off the bad axle and check out inside. Separately is there a clip or anything that locks the axle into the inboard side of the transmission?

Is it hard to rotate the cv axle? Mine feels stuck and I don’t want to force it.

Love the video and I've never replace a drive shaft. But I have replaced the shocks. On the drivers side everything is ok but on the passenger side I've found that the bolt has come loose for the second time what do you think I am doing wrong. 👍🏿

Its for the driveshaftbolt 35Nm and 90 degrees right? Not 20Nm

Mines got a small play where the shaft goes into the gearbox. Is that normal?

Hi, can you confirm that the right and left inner bellows are the same size? or is it different?

This particular shaft is a like for like swap, check you have the damper in the middle if you need it and i believe the bellows are very similar on both inner shafts left and right
