@@FadeDance It will be if It's heavy and understeers a lot. There's more to driving fun and pleassure than horsepower and straight line speed. You want an agile and nice handling car too. You want it to be planted while going around a corner to get confidence in the car. This car may be quick in a straight line, but for real "petrolheads" you want more!
I don’t think it is fair to say it is not quite M3 performance. Obviously this is the 2 litre, but my 2016 model is a 3 litre 6 cylinder bi scroll turbo model and the possibility for tuning is endless. I personally feel it is somewhere between RS4 and RS6 and I can qualify that because I own all of these cars along with many others. 🤗
I owned the 2.0 2017 version, the same one Chris is driving( the quicker one than the old 3.0 with the crap gearbox) and I can tell you now that you are way off. You have obviously never owned or driven an rs of any description, if you think this is comparable. I went into a x3m40i and it left my v60 polestar for dead. Despite polestar having a sports exhaust and ohlins dampers, the x3m40i handled so much more precisely and sounds a million times better. Way better than even the so called great sounding 3.0 polestar. I’m sorry to say but you have you been blinded with Volvo love. They are not that great, hence why I got rid of mine after 6 months.
I shake my hand angrily in amused and disgustment! My favourite car has always been a volvo. Not even joking. The v60 polestar is my absolute dream car. My second one is a d corsa.
Nice car. I’ve read it’s the last gas engine Volvo will ever make. If so they seem to have gone out with a good one. Makes you wonder about the future of Polestar though. Bigger batteries?
You mean putting it in S on the gearstick? Sure, if you want to turn off the ESP as much as allowed you must enter into the menu... But power is always the same, even in D.
I think you'll find that the polestar edition V60's were 3l straight sixes up until about 2015 when volvo switched over to their own engines and nothing bigger than a 2l 4 pot. The T6's have always been 6 cylinders. D5 and D4 were the 5 cylinder diesels, D5 being 2.4l and D4 2l. The old 850/V70 T5 was the 5 cylinder petrol
V60 polestar was a 3L straight 6 up until 2016 then changed to the twin charged 2L four pot. The older 3L has loads more character than the 2L . As for people saying this car isn’t fast... drive one then comment
@@Durgesuth Yes the inline 6 sounds better, is smoother, and has more torque. It also has proven to be bulletproof. And you are correct the its a very fast car. I hit 80mph on the highway so fast and smooth that I don't even realize I am going that fast. Yes the M3 is faster but can you get a M3 wagon. Nope!! The only wagon faster in the US is the Mercedes AMG wagon, but it cost 100k
Looks fab but What’s the turning circle and width ? Oh what a shame they are stuck in the 1970s petrol head era...I thought they had hybrid and electric versions
Marky Boi YT Yes. It was the greatest tv show on earth. But they made 23-24 seasons. And it will never, ever get old. Ever.. So I suggest you download everything starting with Top Gear series 1! because there’s so many great seasons through the years, which will hold up like nothing else, if you are truly a fan of OG TG.
Chris, oh, you poor ol' Chris, look what the producers have done to you. While they put you in this old man's machine, the producers have been going out in the newest sports cars, and electric ones. Poor poor Chris, what have they done to you? You need to team up with that French guy [or was it the guy with the french name, anyway, whatever] and just punch the producers on the nose, I tell ya.Tell them who's boss, Chris!
This is so stupid, they don't even make this car anymore. Thats not even the most stupid thing the new v60 is out for sale with the new platform the v90, xc90 and the xc40 is on. The development for the new platform v60 polstar is under way and said to be reveld in 2019. This video is way too late. I drove this car 3 years ago when it was old news
