In my first RU-vid video, I will show you how to easily remove the central 8.7" vertical touchscreen from the new Volvo V90 luxury sedan with the Volvo's "Sensus Connect" infotainment installed. The main radio unit is located below the touchscreen, behind the radio buttons panel that you can see at the beginning of the video.
The screen was removed because we installed an aftermarket video interface and rear-view camera, which required connections to be made behind the screen.

Thank you! In fact, this screen was being removed for exactly the same reason - to fit a video interface for rear-view camera connection ;)

I appreciate for the making of the vid , you didn’t want to struggle with anything , but c’mon , that right side dash panel practically fell off . I want to know how difficult these are to come out and replace , I cannot see they fall out like that !

Yes, that's correct: the panels were already removed once (before the start of filming the video) and then just put back lightly, so I can understand that it looks as if they just fell off! :D But to be honest, they really do come off pretty easily, no real force is needed. Just make sure you use plastic removal tool (wedge) as to not damage the dashboard.

@@MarcoPoloSound cheers for that , I’ve just bought a V90 with silver ally trim and one is marked so want to replace , so was looking on here to see how it’s removed .. it’s there panel clips holding it ? Thanks again

@@robgreenwood9218 I think there are total of 7 clips for the right panel: 3 top and 3 bottom (running the lenght of the panel) and 1 vertical on the far left side.

Just found your video as the stereo controls on my v90 (2022) were damaged, and I want to figure out how to remove them to see if it can be fixed. How did you remove them at the beginning of the video (0:25) ? Does it just pull out using a wedge or are there any mechanical fixings? Thanks 😊

Hi! The lower "radio control" panel that is removed first is held only with clips. So no mechanical fixings, just use plastic removal tools and carefully wedge it out.
