Thank you very much. Also tried this (even knowing its a long shot) and i have excatly the same as your vídeo. Shifter and fuel range, where solved with the 2 extra wires on the DIM plu. All works, same kms, hour, etc etc . Just power and eco dont work (as expected). Volvo S60 T5 2011, cluster from Volvo t6 2014. No software, just plug and play..
Hi, I got a TFT from an 2014 S60 and tried to use it in my 2013 XC60. I even setup the two wires from the OBD2 port . Only the gear sector and gas gauge cam on and the fuel gauge just showed empty and would go completely blank after about a minute. I then got one from a 2014 XC60 hoping since it came from the same model that it would work but it did the very samething as the first one. Any suggestions?
Did the same swap from an S60 2015 to my S60 2012. Fuel gauge not working also the car gets into limp mode after a while driving on fuel light. Swapped old one back and everything works fine. Does it need to be coded or something?

Hi! If I understood you right if my car is with manual gearbox I have to look for a speedometer from a car also with manual gearbox? One thing I did not understand. Will it show the fuel consumption and the eventual system errors if I have any?
I just did this swap on my 2013 s60 t6 awd. I used the software from d5t5 and installed the 2 wires from the back of the instrument cluster to the obd2 port. Everything works for me except the gas gauge. I wonder if I revert back to factory if the cluster i bought will work just fine. I didn't know this could be done without software.
This is really strange I have tried with my S 80 2012 for display from 2014 and didn’t work They said might need to programme software so could you kindly advise ?
Know this was posted 6 years ago so late to the game. Having read (all) the comments, some posts say it worked others had issues or say it didn't work at all. So whats your experience does everything work on the display. If not what's missing? Also one of the comments supplied a link to a supplier and in their description it states you need a software upgrade. You said it worked for you without one. Just wondering which one is true. Also have you any experience replacing the alarm module. Video's suggest you either have to drill out the wheel liner or remove the headlight and part of the bumper and fender. Seems when I search for anything about the 2012 S60 T5 that I own I'm the only owner of that year.
Do you have the green and blue wires ( LIN Bus) to your display ? I put a display in my 2012 v70 and got nothing other than the warning lights and the fuel gauge light is on constant. I tried a nother display and my alarm went off and the webasto fan starten when i plugged it in. Any ideas ??
I have a 2012 S60 T6 with nav and the sensus update done by Volvo, I have the cluster from a 2014 xc70. Does not power on when plugging it . Will have to buy a Vida Dice and get VDASH.
@@pkolodziejek yeah I had to go through vdash to complete the install. Anything extra done with vdash costs a small fortune. Tft retrofit they charged me $209cdn. Not for anything but VW has Vag-com, which I own, which we can do whatever we want program wise without having to pay for it. There must be another diagnostic software program out there for Volvo that is similar that will charge you 100 for the life time license like vag com.
donor car volvo v70 2016 manual gearbox Didn't work on my s 60 2012 t3. The screen didn't even turn on.. For your information, it's definitely not plug and play. If you don't have time and technical knowledge, the old one is the best. The tft virtual display watch is already expensive. The friend in this video has already connected with obd it should be, but it doesn't mention it at all. It makes it look like a direct plug and play. Don't be fooled by this.

Martin Reul does not work on your car cause it's not the same software. The transmission is also not the same. You need to change your transmission knob and bottom and it would work.
Hi, I've bought myself a tft cluster and I've installed on my 2010 S60 D3. Everything works great, only the tank level doesn't work, and the information about km. to next fill. Can anyone can help me with this feature? Thanks.
@@Alexander_l322 that work. only spec that don't work is power indicator in sport theme mode, but that doesn't bother me. anyway, it's a awesome upgrade, the all off this costs me almost 650€, but it's worth it
Someone try this on XC60? i have 2011 XC60 (AME) i want swap old speedo on a new one. i know 2 ways. 1) xemodex 2) Vesper volvo. but if just simply put new one instead of old mwill it works?
I have a 2010 XC60 and hate the speedo cluster. Hard to see it at night. I'd like to change it out but at 950 Euro, that's a bit much. What have you found?
I found one on eBay for around $325. Not bad considering the features you get with the upgrade (mainly a water temp gauge which I was disappointed my 2012 S60 doesn’t have)

This does NOT work without software update... no idea how this guy pulled this off but I've tried several different clusters on my 2012 Volvo s60 t5 & they just simply DO NOT WORK.
All others are compatible except V40. Virtual cockpits works from XC60, XC70, S60, V70, V60 to all others from the list above, not need to be from XC60 to XC60, only V40 models aren't fit. For V40 donor vehicle must be V40. And pay attention on manual and auto transmission.

You rock wow. I have a 2010 and wanted to do this. I was afraid if I unplugged anything it wouldn't start again. What is needed to get the DIM exactly? Would a plug and play work on a 3.2 2010?

I had paused because Volvo said I would need to have my key fobs reprogrammed. I thought they were pulling my leg to get money. The xc60 computer should recognize the key not a store bought start stop ignition for the key fob.
I have 2011 Volvo XC60 T6 AWD 3.0 automatic. I purchased tft out of 2014 Volvo XC60 T6 AWD 3.0 automatic. I plug it in and nothing happens. What now? Do I need cem software update?
It cost about 190 euro used and you also need to replace the gear knob and the system under for about 200 euro. It will take around 1 hour to replace all of it.
