Great review!I have a UK fully loaded First Edition D4 version of the XC40 R Design, engine torque is great and I get 38-42 to the UK gallon of diesel. I agree the abrupt stop start is annoying but hope Volvo will fix it through a service software update. Otherwise I'm thrilled with my R Design, had it a year now and it puts a smile on my face every day I drive it. The exterior optional chrome trim pack imo really doesn't suit the black detailed exterior trim of the sportier R Design's black roof, mirrors and grill, though probably better on the other models. The comfort sports seats, safety tech & H&K speakers are really sweet. I also love this car.
Till today I never understood how malaysia imposes tax on vehicles . Only premium brands have a hefty tax. Cars which are targeted for younger new customers which are supposed to be at an affordable price range: are priced almost above the 250k range. Think la Someone whose new just started earning with a salary of 3k-3.5k How on Earth la to buy Even the Mini Cooper Which is suppose to be affordable Sells at over 200k Why? Premium badge Now who decides which is premium and which is not When Kia and Hyundai have risen in recent years making their badge premium also Which sells on par which other European brands But come to malaysia U know la Why when Volkswagen can sell at 150-160 range Why not the similar sized bmw or Mercedes Mini Cooper base spec Suppose to be an affordable hot hatch Sell la at same price to a polo/golf below the 150k-160krange So much variation in tax Evrything based on so called premium name Hmmm
Promising indeed..now we'll wait for the X50 👍,i believe the experience won't be that far compared to this..1.5T with proton ride and handling should fare way better than Perodua next B suv, which have 1.0T yesterday
