You can get adaptive cruise and pilot assist as an accessory pack. Ask your Service Department

I have thought about it, and talked to some dealerships. Got quoted alittle high at ~$3k I think awhile back, not sure how accurate it was, seen some discussion on forums. Have you had any experience or know anyone to do it?

I got my 2021 CPO; mine has Pilot feature. I did pay extra for 10 years coverarge. Wish you good luck.

I wish I had the pilot feature, had a dealership that was willing to do it, and it would cost 3-4K but not sure if it’d be worth it or beneficial at this point and question coverage/reliability of non-factory add on. The 10 year coverage would be extremely good to have and gives some much peace of mind for ownership. Wish you luck and hope there is a ton of amazing memories ahead for you! Fun fact - what you are seeing on the rear window are not the heating elements, but radio antennas

That tracks a lot more! Always thought it was heating elements or gave the appearance of them. Thank you for the fun fact, any other Volvo Easter eggs you know?

Small suggestion when doing car experience or review feedback. ALWAYS start with what model you have and specs. Is it petrol, diesel, hybrid ect. What are the engine specs or exact model, B5 ect. Or if you want to be lazy put that info into video description. So many make mistakes and start giving feedback but no mention of trim level ect.

Hey thanks for the initial feedback and any more to give? Thought the intro through 0:12 would have covered it decently with mentioning it is a 2019 (MY) T6 (Engine/Spec) R-Design (Package/Trim Level) but I could see more in-depth on engine specs IE 2.0 (although all are 2 liters) but explaining T6 is a supercharged and turboed engine could be mentioned earlier. Will look to update the Description later to discuss it better but I agree it could be better presented maybe. Let me know what else you got.

I really tried to give this some thought for you, and what I can say is, you can tell it’s an iteration and it could use some polishing in some spots. The biggest change to stand out was the software suite, it switched from Volvo’s Senus to Google based, I think it needs a few updates and it’ll be better. My big issue for my few days with the loaner was software glitches, one was a few hours were all audio died due to a glitch, we’re talking no music, no turn signal noises, no sound in general. Not a bad issue but something to note. In terms of the switch to all of them being hybrids, I liked it. Quiet start up, power seemed fine, no weird quirks when switching off or using both powers. AWD might have been better in the 2024 than mine, but also conditions/tires might not have been apples to apples + I feel better pushing my car alittle more than the dealerships. But in general, if I could sum it up, I would say it’s comfortable and familiar, everything was mostly the same and an easy transition between the two. (The loaner did have pilot assist+adaptive cruise and that was fantastic)

@@picatogTy for an open and honest reply……so, I’m currently researching vehicles in this class and the 2024 XC60 is on my radar. Unfortunately, the more I look into the Volvo, the more I find that it is plagued with electrical issues (much like you have said) and has been rated as “less then average” in reliability as confirmed by Consumer Reports. To me, the XC60 is a perfect example of what I would require in my next purchase, but the reliability factor definitely will come into play in my decision. This is coming from a lifelong buyer of Toyota vehicles. Anyway, love your format and your free flowing mode that you use in this video. Gl and keep up the great work!

Completely understand where you are coming from, I was in the same boat and thought primarily about the X3, RDX, XC60, some Jeeps. Primarily grew up with Toyota, Acura and Subaru in the family. Wasnt a fan of the Lexus design or the Toyota tech at the time. Honestly I think the software/electrical issues might be overblown with Volvo. Also Volvo warranty is pretty fantastic and service has been really supportive and helpful so I wouldn’t worry about that portion. It definitely factors in, I would probably buy a new Volvo or lease one (not sure about long term battery but it is a hybrid so not an essential system). I would do alot of A/B testing if possible. Personally CRs reliability rating is skewed IMO as they count software glitches and bugs as negative marks (I believe) which tanks reliability when mechanically everything is good. Software is pretty much every evolving (or can be) but mechanical reliability generally won’t change for a vehicle within generations so I would look at long term reliability for the chassis but note what’s been updated or changed as issues were discovered.

@@picatogAgreed……I feel so many people rely on CR for their reports, especially when it comes to reliability. I’ve owned 2 Jeeps in my lifetime. Both were given bad reviews by CR in regard to reliability. Tbh, they were the best vehicles, second to my Toyotas, in reliably even after the CR reviews. Makes me wonder if the CR ratings are biased. I also currently own a FiAT 124 and that also has been extremely reliable to me…….so much for the old “Fix It Again Tony” remark given to that brand. Great review... just got a 2022 cpo xc60... Don't buy the family sedan branding... I've driven a lot of other cars including ze Germans... This competes with and in many ways beats out it's competitors. I see it as Jack of all trades master of none but a fab vehicle overall... Sorry to hear about your tranny issues! That's a crazy story with the insurer

A 2022 CPO is definitely the way to go, if I could go back now (or had a higher budget at the time of purchase/more time to buy) I would go CPO for sure. I definitely appreciate the stiffer ride of the Volvo compared to some other competitors in the segment but still wonder what it would be like if I went with the RDX/X3/X5 instead. There will be a follow-up/10K mile of ownership perspective video dropping soon discussing maintenance, cost to own, and everything though! Can definitely agree that is is a Jack of All Trades, fantastic road tripper, good gas mileage, quality features but not the top dog in any segment (except maybe safety and maybe that’s the only category that matters most once). The transmission issues were definitely an anomaly, dealership was confused on why Aisin transmission died that early but minimal issues called out in Toyota/Lexus/Volvo or anyone that uses the transmission, the insurer is crap though but alteast now it is Volvo warrantied! What XC60 trim/features did you get or like so far?
