I have a 2005 XC 70. Changing the cabin filter is much more difficult. There are two little T-20 screws on the front side of the housing cover that I can't reach unless I push back the passenger seat, recline the seat all the way, and lay down upside down, and climb head first into the wheel well. It's awful and hurts my back. But, the dealer wants over $100 for the service so I have to do it myself. I am so jealous that the newer models make it easier.
At my Dealer here in Germany the price for the Volvo part was 63 Euros and for the same Rover part 27 Euros. Both are with coal filtration and IAQS compatible.
...isn´t also the airflow direction important? (min. 2:40, you can see a air flow direction sign on both Filter). I bought recently a Volvo XC70 AWD D5 BJ 2011 and i´m very happy with your Videos, thank you !!!
Не знаю ни одной машины, где бы было так гемморно менять фильтр салона... Рекомендую фильтр BLUE PRINT ADF122502 в России он впятеро дешевле оригинала и не уступает по качеству. На крайний случай поставщика конвеера MANN-FILTER CUK 2733 он втрое дешевле оригинала.
you can prob use many filters. I used a Meyle 512 320 0006 and a Mann CUK 2733. This is for a 2012 XC70 which has the fuse box in the way unlike in this video (other yt vids show you how to pull that out)
I had the same some years ago. It sounded like a dry leave stuck into air flow, vibrating with air. It has been impossible to see it and to remove. It gradually got lighter over the time.
hello, does this car have IAQS? I went to Volvo parts webstore and found that the filters are different for cars with and without IAQS. wondering if the LR filter is compatible with the IAQS equipped Volvo. thanks.

While changing cabin filters on Volvos, it is making you question the meaning of life. I am going to change mine on Volso S80 soon, and I do question now.
Quite poorly designed by Volvo. Scotty Kilmer changed a Lexus RX interior filter very swiftly and easily. I bought a Bosch (for Volvo) activated carbon interior filter online for 24 euros.
