I will do it tomorrow, on my 2014 model. Not because it would be noisy, but it is an ex police car with badly smashed up center console unit (cuts and holes here and there). I got a decent one from ebay for GBP60.00 in delivery. (Usually the bed one move around GBP150,00 so it was a good price indeed). Anyway. Your video is fantastic. Thank you for sharing it! It is a great help.
Gr8 video. I'm doing the same on my black S80. I also have the R-Design Sports Steering wheel and fully leather matching gear knob on already so this console should compliment the cabin very nicely. Thanks for showing me how I have to complete the job!

My XC70 D5 is my second Volvo, I think it is a really awesome car, even better than my much loved 2000 model V40 which gave me many years reliable service. When the time comes to replace my XC70 I will buy another. Keep up the good work Yuri, I look forward to seeing more new videos.

You got a good buy. I just ordered one at $236.53 plus shipping from list price of $293..36. But it does look good. Thanks for the videos, they have cost me $$$ because I like the parts. So far I have the grill. console trim, tail light module and lift gate module LOL.
Sorry for typo. We have to get whatever is on the newer models and put them on our older Volvos. It's fun to see our older Volvos look like the new ones and not have the new car payments! :).
Hello Yuri, I didn't do the console upgrade yet, but changed already my steering wheel to the R Design version. That fits very nice with the other chrome accents in the car. I also will be changing the gear handle to the one with the chrome on the side's. Keep up the good work.
Not all ford though, the SIPS and other things like crash safety is all Volvo. Just some engines are PSA and ford, maybe some other things too but a lot is still Volvo that we love. I think this is the case anyways.
I have v50 2009,with Ford/Peugeot engine and a lot of Ford things in it,and the car has nothing to do with Ford or Peugeot when you driving and experiencing the road and the interior and how feels everything...So Volvo is Volvo,no matter that they are collaborating for some parts :)

May I ask you - if you have this info - what is the Volvo OEM number of the old center console (the one that you replaced). I have to replace it but I want to keep it original. An as well what is the OEM number of the sliding part in the central consol. Otherwise great videos. I have Volvo V70 D5 2009.

Do you know if bliss is prewired in those cars? I just got another xc70 2009 for parts and want to see if i can move bliss system with ccm to my 2010, so mirrors with sensors and ccm will need to be swapped? If its prewired
Hi volvosweden, I am trying to fit a reversing camera to my 2016 XC 70 and could use some advise if you can help! I have the required interface and need to fit it behind the C.D. unit, to do this I need to remove the centre console, which is different to the one in your video. It has a brushed aluminium insert which is fixed unlike your wooden finish around the gear shift on your car! I have located 6 Torx screws after watching your video, I don't know if the 2016 model has only 6 Trox screws holding it or 8 as in your video. The aluminium insert will not move/unclip. If my console has the 8 screws as yours does, I need to find the 2 screws that are in front of the gear shift in your car, but can not see any way to locate them! I have found the 2 behind the CD trim, the 2 on the rear of the unit & the 2 under the rubber stoppers in the arm rest box. Do you have any tips that will help me? P.S. I modified the tailgate on my XC70 to close in a different way to the kit you fitted to yours by putting a remote control relay in parallel with the tailgate mounted close switch, it works, but not as good as the one you have fitted because I need a second remote to do it with and won't work from the inside button. I am going to email moduleorder my VIN and ask the cost of the kit you fitted and if not to costly, I will get one, but just to let you know that there is a way to do it without the moduleorder kit. Hello. Before changing the thermostat, you had problems with dual zone ? or just no more heat ? Mine is having a trouble, i can have heat on my driver side, but passenger it's not heating. Am wondering if someone knows if i need to change climate control or maybe just the thermostat ? thanks :)
Mine is peeling away this soft rubber texture, i am thinking of just scratching it all off and respraying it, or wrapping it with vinyl if i can make the surface all smooth. I really hate this rubber texture, they use it on control pads and remotes and joysticks and doesn't age well.

Yes I do have the same issue. There is a solution and will be doing a video about it. I already bought the special unti squick material that needs to be applied on contact points between the console and other part.

Do you have electrical circuit diagram over the connectors on the amplifier that sits under the passanger seat? Im trying to connect a small formfactor active subwoofer under the seat and i cannot google anything that helps me

I cannot put my gear selector in neutral without the engine running and then the engine will not shut off until the selector is back in Park. Is that a USA thing and do yo know a work around?
Calvin Jutila pull the metal key from your remote. There is a rubber mat in the center console slot under neath the radio. Lift that up, there is a slot for the metal key to go into. Insert the key and move the shifter into neutral, set the handbrake so your car doesn’t roll away.
